I love the way you display the cleaned items you find after you describe them. And how responsible you are with regard to not being destructive to the site too! Thanks!
Dan, Fantastic hunt. Sooooo much silver! So many interesting items. The sandy soil you have seems to be relatively kind to the objects. Lucky you. Keep up the great work. - Stewart
discovered your channel today and subscribed! I couldn't help myself called my hubby a klugscheisser today, he had a good laugh looking up the meaning on the internet. I live in the u.s. and would love to be able to discover all that history like you do. look forward to more from you ! woohoo
Some really great finds, brining back history a little at a time. Thank you for sharing with us.👍👍 Like you I hate it when other detectorist do not fill their holes and do not take the trash to be recycled not just from the ground but also fro m the rivers.......and they FILM it!
You're a class act Daniel, so many nice relics. You are now my number 1 favorite on TH-cam. The clown that didn't fill his/her holes got a payback because you found the medallion and you filled in the hole. What went around, came back around to you.
Fantastic finds (as usual)! The buckles are in amazing condition. I'm sure the blackberries were delicious. I love finding those in the wild. Dankeschön for continuing to post videos. GL & HH, my friend. Brian
And another nice video. Always love your comments on the finds and your historic knowledge. My favorite was that french badge (Industrie-/ wirtschaftsministerium) very nice find!
As a new member of the metal detectors club I really enjoy your work sir my first hunt was just a few days ago and it was in my home state of Kentucky USA perryville to be precise and it was on a civil war battlefield one of the most deadly battles of the civil war and most of the battlefield has been purchased by the state parks department but I am fortunate enough to have a friend of a friend that owns a huge property right in the middle of it all so much was able to hunt and found some great cannon balls and bullets among other things I know you don't like artillery and I don't either unless it's civil war era then I think it's awesome so thank you for all of your knowledge and hard work please keep it up
The badges are indeed fire department. The birds on them are not eagles but the Phoenix from Greek mythology. To this day FDs wear the phoenix on badges, medals, etc.
Hi dan it's nice to see you out again digging the belt buckle the first one was a great find along with all the Rest Of the goodies Barry it's really good to have you back again
Great finds once again. I like the medals and enamelled badges you find. I look forward to seeing your videos. They make a change from watching the same old hammered coins being found in videos from England.
Great video. Wow that belt buckle is a very nice find, also the NSDAP Merrit Cross. Never seen a Wilhelm the Great medallion. Beautiful silver French medallion. Hmmm tasty blackberries :) Nice silver brush. The photo storage box is probably brass.
I so enjoy watching your videos and like seeing items you find and way you've cleaned them up so well and by watching you its really made me determined to do metal detecting myself as so into history. keep up with videos What is best way of cleaning them up?
Thanks Angelique. It makes me a bit proud to inspire you for this cool hobby. It´s really worth a try. There unfortunately is no best way of cleaning items it really depends on what material it is and the amount of decay. One golden rule is (like in real life;)) less is more. If you have found an item and you like to clean it I certainly would help you.
Klugscheisser Dan Thank you for getting back to me and I have few items which would like to clean up, how can send pic of them and would appreciate your help
the one with the cannons looks like maybe a mortorman's medal from the war ? Love your finds BTW wish I lived in Germany so I could find cool war relics
I so enjoy these videos. but I do wonder on each piece, who were the owners? How did they die? Were these pieces part of a bounty stolen? Do you have historical maps/books that would describe the surrounding woods? And what may have happened there?
At 3:38, the Part with the canons, it's a bit hard to explain in english, in German it's a "Parierlappen von einem Preußischen Artillerieoffizier Löwenkopfsäbel" that means it's a part of the handle of a prussian lionshead sabre for artillery officers.
Vielen Dank für die Info! Ich hab mittlerweile im Netz Bilder gefunden von genau dem Säbel oder Schwert. Ich wusste nicht das das Teil Parierlappen heisst. Grüße Daniel
On the 3:340 medal from what I have looked up it is most likely some short of Artillery Regimental Medal or Badge not sure on what unit it's for or side yet.
You were right with the buckles but the crossed cannon item is a part of a german wehrmacht artillery saber handle. I didn´t know but a viewer send me a picture of it. But thanks anyway.
Part three is nearly ready and I can say without blushing it´ll be a good video too! It´s simply the location and of course my excellent machine. There have been others before me and I wonder what they must have found there. ;)
I have to admire your badass machine there, but what's so special about it, you never talked about it only that its very expensive. is it more sensitive to certain metals?
No I guess not but being a sound engineer and being able to adjust the machine to full tone(every metal or alloy has a distinctive "own" sound) makes it for me the perfect machine since my job is to listen!
Hi Daniel, Wauw just wauw, what an amazing finds again.... Lucky for you the other detectorist did a bad job again :-) Thanks for sharing Dan, best wishes GL&HH Don
Mmm.. buckles. That loyal service badge has to be rare. Nice find. I imagine that huge silver hairbrush was some Russian soldier's loot. First his, then your nice find! Keep them coming.
What a place Dan!!!!Very nice finds!!! Buckles are "kreis"buckles from east prussia and brandenburgia belong to police or fireman from years 20-30 and later even to 45 twenty century GL&HH!!!!
Hi Pestka, thanks for that info on the buckles you happen to have a link for me on that buckles I didn´t find anything. I just found nearly the same fireman buckles with different crests like hessen or würtemberg. Did you notice that the buckles I found have slightly different crests? Do you know anything about it???? I´m burning to know more. Thanks in advance, Daniel
Thanks! But that´s not true for every item unfortunately. I found a whole Luftwaffe dagger well at least the blade was whole but the handle and all the aluminum part were simply toasted. But you can see that in the next video if you like ;)
Dan you have found more cool stuff in this video than I have in the last 2 years in Bayern. Can you please tell me where you are detecting? I need to get out of GAP and head to this area for a multi-day trip. Thank you in advance!
Where ever it is your detecting is awesome. Your finding so many awesome items, I would love to find stuff like that, any idea the values of these items?
i love to go to Germany anywhere in Europe since there is so much of ww1 ww2 and in between wars its amazing history ! i live in Pa need to find places where i can go to look and what metal detector do u recommend for new beginners? lol
Just started watching your videos. Keep it up! They're great! Also had a question for you, i am heading to Germany in April, and curious of any suggestions of areas I could metal detect? 'Thanks.
Than you and I will. And sorry I´m not revealing any of my spots. If you want to be cool with the law detect in bavaria cause if you would find a real valuable treasure there you got to keep a percentage of. You detect anywhere esle it goes to the state.
Thanks for the heads up! I will actually be staying in Bavaria so thats good to know! Is it legal to go into the woods and detect there? Hard to find information from here in America
Hallo Dan. Verrate mir doch bitte wie du die Feldbinde wieder so schön hinbekommen hast ? Es ist immer ein spannendes Vergnügen dich bei deinen Ausflügen zu begleiten.
I love the way you display the cleaned items you find after you describe them. And how responsible you are with regard to not being destructive to the site too! Thanks!

Had some amazing finds Great belt buckles. You find SO much silver I have only ever found a couple small coins. Thank you for sharing love the videos.
You're a class act Daniel, so many nice relics. You are now my number 1 favorite on TH-cam. The clown that didn't fill his/her holes got a payback because you found the medallion and you filled in the hole. What went around, came back around to you.

GL & HH, my friend. Brian
Thanks Brian, it´s much appreciated. The last time I was there the blackberries were ripe to the point sweet and yummie.
Good work Dan... I learn much here on your channel about history. Most enjoyable.
And another nice video. Always love your comments on the finds and your historic knowledge.
My favorite was that french badge (Industrie-/ wirtschaftsministerium) very nice find!

You have got to be the best detectorist on your Continent. Congratulations on yet more great finds!

Gobsmacked with what you are finding. Just brilliant
Great finds once again. I like the medals and enamelled badges you find. I look forward to seeing your videos. They make a change from watching the same old hammered coins being found in videos from England.
That´s kind of you but I like my old hammerd silver in England finds
Brilliant finds and a great video , thanks for sharing
the cross cannon is the symbol for artillery. was in the irish army artillery for 9 years. great videos.
Nice findings! At 3:37 maybe part of Prussian Artillery Officer's Sword Hilt?
Great video. Wow that belt buckle is a very nice find, also the NSDAP Merrit Cross. Never seen a Wilhelm the Great medallion. Beautiful silver French medallion. Hmmm tasty blackberries :) Nice silver brush. The photo storage box is probably brass.
I love you're videos Dan, keep them coming please 👍 I go detecting with my Father alot in England.

How you clean up everything so good in the woods? Like the badges too they look like theyr new
On the 3:340 medal from what I have looked up it is most likely some short of Artillery Regimental Medal or Badge not sure on what unit it's for or side yet.
petit coucou de france. merci pour tes vidéos. comme toujours de superbes trouvailles.
Great finds again Dan keep it coming
Those are great hunts! Thanks for posting.
That thing you thought was a lighter is likely an oiler. For a weapon is my guess and would be an item they would have brought with them.
whenever he found the cross he got so excited then got sad when he noticed what it actually was
some nice and varied finds daniel, look forward to part 3.
Thanks John
Nice!!! Do you have an ebay page or something where folks can buy finds?
Stumbled across this by accident... this is awesome, subscribed :-)
Well thank you very much
The crossed cannons could be a fire department rank symbol. In the fire service crossed bugles or cannons means a "district chief" or such.
You were right with the buckles but the crossed cannon item is a part of a german wehrmacht artillery saber handle. I didn´t know but a viewer send me a picture of it. But thanks anyway.
Great video yet again, keep up the good work!

Haha, well i can't argue with that! I hope you upload the next video soon, im excited to see the next great finds!
Hi Daniel,
Wauw just wauw, what an amazing finds again....
Lucky for you the other detectorist did a bad job again :-)
Thanks for sharing Dan, best wishes GL&HH Don
Thanks Don!
You are finding some very nice items out there.
Mmm.. buckles. That loyal service badge has to be rare. Nice find. I imagine that huge silver hairbrush was some Russian soldier's loot. First his, then your nice find! Keep them coming.
3:40 is something from an ww1 officers artillerie saber
great too see your finds again keep up the great work.
What a place Dan!!!!Very nice finds!!! Buckles are "kreis"buckles from east prussia and brandenburgia belong to police or fireman from years 20-30 and later even to 45 twenty century

Dan , please check email box, i sent an email to You!
Klasse Video und richtig gute Funde Glückwunsch 👍🏻
Great video! Looks like the sandy soil in that area is a lot less corrosive to the relics than the soil you usually hunt in???? Beautiful finds.
Thanks! But that´s not true for every item unfortunately. I found a whole Luftwaffe dagger well at least the blade was whole but the handle and all the aluminum part were simply toasted.
But you can see that in the next video if you like ;)
Daniel!!! Excellent video. I had an especially good chuckle at your 'nom nom nom' on the raspberrys!! bc
Thanks Brian. I wasn´t aware of doing that noise until I saw the footage I guess it has to do with my kids.
You always find the koolest stuff! Lucky you!
Another great hunt ! I am envious !
Dan you have found more cool stuff in this video than I have in the last 2 years in Bayern. Can you please tell me where you are detecting? I need to get out of GAP and head to this area for a multi-day trip. Thank you in advance!
Awesome video Dan , great to see you again !
Love your intro music! Who is it?
It is Johnny Cash. The song is known by two names. Originally it was called "Run On." More recently it is known as "God's Gonna Cut You Down."
amazing relics and finds ..
WOW....absolutely amazing! Was that just 1 hunt?! Great video once again and just wow.... im getting jealous again :P GL & HH Lars
Thanks! No it was two day but very long ones. I guess the total search time was about 20 hours
Where ever it is your detecting is awesome. Your finding so many awesome items, I would love to find stuff like that, any idea the values of these items?
Please dont tell this is all from 1 trip, really nice finds!
wow, fantastic finds Daniel. You're embarrassing other youtube diggers with videos like these! ;-)
Can't wait for part 3.
Thanks but I don´t want to embarrass no one. I´m just a damn lucky guy (When it comes to metal detecting) it seems. ;)
VGreetings dan I see that your playing safe by Wearing gloves.good luck and happy hunting Barry.
In the US any historical finds are noted with latitude & longitude. Do you do that as well?
The first piece of silver is a watch cover.
Wow its so pretty there, were those strawberry plants on the ground when you were looking at the coin?
Some amazing finds this hunt!
Adorei seus videos! Incrível...
I love it all...
Absolutely amazing...
i love to go to Germany anywhere in Europe since there is so much of ww1 ww2 and in between wars its amazing history ! i live in Pa need to find places where i can go to look and what metal detector do u recommend for new beginners? lol
Piece broken off an Artillery Officer's sword... crossed cannons.
At 3.40, could it be an epaulette/shoulder badge from an artillary division? I also thought it could possibly be a belt tip. Nice finds.
Hi Dr.
No it´s a part of a wehrmacht artillery sword handle.
Dr Wobble from chile Sword part
Where's your museum ? cracking finds. Amazing . gr Ben
really nice, a lot history do you have in your backyard hahaha, cool
Wow ! what a great hunt!
The trench art star is just fantastich!
Dude these vides are so cool! What song is that intro song?
Great video!, keep up the good work please!
The French medal you found rewards french workers for "impressive" work in their function. It started delivering it in 1896.
hey great video man some day il have to come and treasure hunt with you
Just started watching your videos. Keep it up! They're great! Also had a question for you, i am heading to Germany in April, and curious of any suggestions of areas I could metal detect? 'Thanks.

I really enjoy your videos-
Hallo Dan. Verrate mir doch bitte wie du die Feldbinde wieder so schön hinbekommen hast ? Es ist immer ein spannendes Vergnügen dich bei deinen Ausflügen zu begleiten.
The one with crossed cannons should be Artillery and could be worn to indicate branch of service.
You´re right with artillery but it´s no badge at all it´s part of a handle from a wehrmacht parade saber
Cool, thanks for the info.
Super Funde !!! Klasse !
