These guys are so lucky. I've always wanted to go to Europe and see all the old battlefields and historic locations. Europe contains so much history, OUR history it's amazing. A legacy of our forefathers. Thanks for uploading this.
There battlefields are basically everywhere in Europe. Within reason. Ours in America are limited to civil war and revolutionary war sites and you don’t want to get caught at the actual site metal detecting although I would live to. But Europe especially Eastern Europe you Can almost find things on the semi surface but they might be picked over by now
I love watching people dig up history. Im a huge history buff, especially about WWII so the fact that someone can hold history is amazing, its so cool. I loved the use of photos to show its use and confirm what it is.
I have great appreciation to the detail you use to authenticate the artifacts found with actual photos and film footage of items in use, thus verifying exactly what it is and who used it. Thank you very much! Keep up the good work!
Very interesting find with the two boxed pistols. I recognized the FN 1922 as soon as you pulled it out. I have one myself and it has the Nazi Swastika stamped on it. I researched the part numbers and found mine was made in the last half of 1944. I still fire it today. However, for me, it is more of a historical piece from a dark time in world history. How the gun made its way to the US, I do not know. How or where it was used during the war is a mystery. Maybe its secrets are better left untold. Great video. It is good to see people protecting and preserving our history for future generations.
For everyone saying the pistols found in the ammo box were a 1911 or TT33 or makarov would you please stop thinking you know everything about guns because you play video games like CoD of BF, because you dont. Im not saying I do, but the people who posted this do and have stated what the pistols are and linked to their proof many times so... stop.
I am a teenage boy, a collector of war militaria and relics. Every piece is a story. Every helmet, medal, and weapon belonged to a man, and each man had a story. I wish to remind all, that there's a story behind every piece and it's the life of a man.
Nope, I'm sorry brother, but this isn't the way it works. Every "piece" is a relic of power, dominance, greed and ownership by people much more anthropologically relevant than the soldier. Ender, I hope you'll listen to this. The soldier is but a chess piece in a grand game, and every artifact on his dead corpse was put there by sociopathic, entitled men, who didn't care what the soldier's death revealed about them. There is no bullet, uniform, insignia, firearm, bayonet, or gas mask that didn't get put there by greedy, sociopathic men. And there is not one soldier among them who agreed with the choices of those men. You're right to respect them through their artifacts....I have done the same. But don't misunderstand how those skeletons and artifacts got there. The phrase "never again" comes to mind....and yet, here we are.....
I have an old CZ 27, 7.65. Its actually a .32 caliber. Has a nice leather holster and spare magazine. If you cleaned the gun up you would see that it has a few swastikas stamped on it. Not a very expensive gun but still a keepsake.
K Kampy Yeah, it's sort of sad to see German or Russian helmets pulled out of the ground with gaping bullet holes in the steel. You have to remember that there was once a man under there - who met his end in a quite horrible way.
Quando estávamos detectando, encontramos um cartucho de fuzil .50 Da segunda guerra mundial. Em solo japonês. Foi uma emoção e tanto poder segurar uma coisa com tanta história. Parabéns pelos achados ! São incríveis !!!!
I have a FN Model 1922 in my gun collection. Was made by the Nazis as it has the Waffenampt marks of WaA140. Brought back to the U.S. by a returning American soldier as I have the capture papers signed by his company commander. It must have a story behind it as the soldier wanted to bring it home with him. A great piece of history. If it could only talk.
I worked on the island of Guadalcanal a few years back and found, machine guns, pistols, bayonets, P-38 Lightning, Tank and many other small every day items.
I like your videos... But only 1 thing! Why don't open the box carefully without actually breaking parts of it, I mean, keeping everything u found n preserve them! That would be great! :)
First thanks for watching, the ammobox was rotten already and not worth preserving it. You may complain if we smashed those pistols on rocks or something ;) WWIIMD
This is awesome! I am an American in France right now and we are making a ww2 movie. This movie actually covers the battle for hill 108 and we went so far to keep the story true that we have quotes from the diaries of soldiers that were in the actual battle. We have had to dig fox holes and regimental command posts and we have found amazing things in France if anyone is curious I can post a video of some of the things we have found and some of the ww2 weapons we have. So far we have not found any guns but we have found bayonets, motar tubes and etc.
Cool you are making a WWII movie. Using quotes from diaries makes it really personal indeed. Finding small items like badges and belt buckles is way cooler than guns.
Very fascinating I know parts of Italy that have ww2 artifacts . Lots of American amo and German to . It's so cool to be the first person to discover these objects buried in time it's like opening up history first hand
i love how he pulls out the guns, wipes the triggers, WHILE POINTING THE GUN AT HIMSELF, not knowing if a round is chambered or not. never know, only a dumbass what take that chance
well its already rusted.. I will only pissed myself when I found grenade or unexploded bombs. which there one right here in my house right now XD P.S the primer removed lol.
+gooni goo goo Dude your only making yourself look like an ass by calling people names. Those guns have been in the ground around 70 years. At this level of corrosion it is not even possible to move those triggers, the barrel would be so deformed a hypothetical bullet would not even fit through it let alone if the hardened steel outside the gun is that rusted the firing pin and tiny tiny trigger mechs and springs would be long gone. This was their opinion i'm sure and they have tons of experience with finding old guns so there is no point in you calling people dumbasses just because you are way too anal.

Tokarev and a CZ. If the frame and barrel prove to be sound, there is a chance both will fire if you just replace the small moving parts as needed. On the other hand, they could just blow up. Great find. I wish my country had WWII relics to find.
I admire the courage/guts of these guys, bombs, potato masher grenades, land mines....I'd be scared to handle these munitions in their present state. You go guys!
Great finds. Love to be able to find stuff like that. The head torch was very interesting as I have never seen anything like it before. You guys are very lucky to be able to do this.

Haha funny.. So the museum can send us home because they don't need that rusty crappy ammobox (because they already have hundred of them in good condition?)
I have an FN 1922 with Waffen stamps on it that I shoot at the gun range all the time. 7.65mm. Excellent pistol, very accurate. American officer's sent a lot of those back home. I see them at used gun stores and gun shows occasionally.

WWII MetalDetecting Back in the 70's through the 80's I was able to detect the oldest BSA camp in the US before it was bulldozed for new homes. Found lots of silver coins dating back into 1800's, one gold dollar, Some WWI and WWII stuff. Best find was a rare 1927 outstanding camper pin that was only issued for 2 years. Lots of fun.
I had a friend actually fire off a .45 from a m1911 ww2 gun we found in France. Lucky he wasn't hurt, but it made me realize just how unsafe fire arms are, even after being buried for 70+ years. We put a barrel plug in it and worked on getting the magazine release working, which we finally did, and we took the magazine out. We restored the gun, and tracked the cerial number and gave it back to the veteran that used it. He said he remembered when he lost it.
That gun wouldnt fire if you slammed it with a hammer. The pin, hammer, ammo likely just as screwed up as its exterior. I have actually refurbished guns in such bad shape back into firing condition. It depends how many layers caked (of steel) and if anything fused. I'd love to be able visit these areas and restore much of these items I see in videos. I HATE when they destroy a good gun with a drill. Throw the ammo back where they got it. Leaving History to rot. I had a few send me their finds to me in US. I much enjoyed it and the challenges of restoration.

You should try to soak the guns & any other metal pieces in a Cider Vinegar bath for a week to dissolve the Rust contamination.
Thats exactly what i was thinking! But after all those years in the elements how would the gun hold up ? Probably parts need to be replaced...
I don't know but they actually looked to be in pretty good shape all considering!
Ikr ! Lucky bastards ! These guys and other videos ive seen they find incredible things ! I envy them
+Jayy Cee i found one i a old almost crushed house...it was fully working ww2 hand gun
Good thought, unless the rust has permeated the entire structure, then it might just dissolve.
Out of curiosity, were you able to find out if the guns were loaded?
+Justin Stevenson
Unloaded.
+Justin Stevenson No one keeps loaded weapon, even soldiers.
Ah did not know that's how it was back then. I figured there had to be some circumstances where they kept a loaded gun with them.
+BartholomeoGames , you break into the wrong persons house and they're done will be loaded a lot of people keep their guns loaded lmao

those mg 42's had such a high rate of fire they would warp. extra barrels were needed.
I believe they usually were used to replace a barrel after it got too hot although I may be wrong
I've read that the rpm on the MG-42 was so high that it sounded like tearing aluminum foil.
theres a scene in "Band of Brothers" and "Saving Private Ryan" where one is shown and also firing. nasty gun. .1500 rounds per min
phaedris They fire so fast ypu can't actually hear the individual round being fired. It's just one continuous noise.
windwhipped5 They were also innovative in that they were designed for rapid barrel change.
So freaking old, the damn box is rusted shut. Still a great find.
Thanks for sharing that's really cool.

Back in the 70's through the 80's I was able to detect the oldest BSA camp in the US before it was bulldozed for new homes. Found lots of silver coins dating back into 1800's, one gold dollar, Some WWI and WWII stuff. Best find was a rare 1927 outstanding camper pin that was only issued for 2 years. Lots of fun.
NICE JOB !!!
HISTORY- TUBE Dulhan Ghat
Amazing finds....really.....bet the soldier never dreamed they would be unearthed....let alone on a video
FN 1910/22 and a Makarov. You did not handle it safe though. Handle firearms as they are loaded at all times.

Jesper Kruse that thing won't fire..fuck atta here
You have done an amazing video. Very detailed and informative.
Thanks Will, good to hear!
all I ever find metal detecting is rusty nails and bottle caps
Сначала, как только достали, подумал, что это ТТ. Чуть не офигел. Молодцы ребята!
The ground holds many stories
that was like a war-time-capsule- that burried there that dope!
i wonder if you guys ever found skeletons?
Если находят скелеты и удаётся установить их личности -пытаются найти родственников что бы похоронить. Если не находят - хоронят сами в братских могилах.
For you and everyone else who is wondering, we haven't found any human remains yet. If so we contact the right agencies so they can be placed at a military cemetry.

Soviet Pistols
Миша Иванов those are German. Found one of them before
+RyanHop04 Oh yeah, really is... but the left one looks like Tokarev
Миша Иванов They are German Walther pistols
Миша Иванов Well...one is a Walther the other is a makarov
+Kenny Ayers One is a CZ27 (makarov looking one) a handgun made in Czechoslovakia and used by the germans after the takeover, the other is a FN (Belgian) Model 1922, and was procured in the same way as the CZ27, not Walther pistols.
Mooi spul allemaal! leuk om een oude collega te horen ik herkende gelijk zijn stem
I thought they were gold
+TheLackie Would be nice ;)
+WWII MetalDetecting Its incredible how nature modified those guns after so many years. Amaizing
The munitions box they were in were actually often use to carry surplus pistols to other troops
These vids would be better without the absurd dramatic music.
Big thump up guys. Amazing finds. Keep up the good work!
