football is like playing chess, noughts and crosses or draughts/checkers, if you can think 5 steps ahead of the opponent and think of many of possibilities what the other team may and can think of as many ways or more to stop it than 99% of the time you would win. The Best place to defend is in the centre of your own half, you would never be on the wrong side of anybody and less running you can do the better, wait until they come to you yet just shift slightly towards there side so that your close enough to the centre so if they kick from they own half e.g. a goal kick or lumping it up the field, or cross it in from a wide position you have a good chance of meeting it and starting an attack, unless someone is good as George Best or David Beckham many people don't score out wide.
Smart coach....I like his perspective...very creative and great vision. But what happens when the players break down and play that ball to the out side full back. They need to learn how to create out of that corner and then transition through their mid moving forward.
This guy is good but football tactics are mostly nonsense,how can you predict what is going to happen in a game. Teach ball skills ,control , passing skills and leave the the rest to a players imagination.
