Wow, a wonderful place to spend the night. Barefoot, campfire, nature and dog....what more do you need?
Moments like this, far away from civilisation, are becoming increasingly important if you don't want to lose yourself, if you know what I mean!
Seeing the rubbish hurts my soul.
Thank you for this beautiful video. I am very happy to have discovered your channel.
Best regards, Angelina
Thanks so much 😄
Jealous! What a beautiful spot. Heartbreaking to see the plastic debris that's so common to find now. Watching from Canada 🇨🇦 and wishing I was there. Thanks for the video 😊
Thanks for watching!
Awesome vid man, Im live in inverness and this year im defo taking advantage of the summer n being outdoors, glad i bumped into this channel as i can find all the decent spots! :)
Thanks for watching 😀👍
Classic video. Beautiful location..
I noticed you mentioning the madness in the world. ITS EVEN WORSE NOW.
However we do what we do to escape. Keep up the good work pal
Thanks so much 👍
Aah man what a spot. Worth the walk in. I do think that MSR looks particularly good on coastal camps. We camped out at the Stranraer coast a couple of years ago and the tent looked ace against the backdrop. P.S Got my wife to subscribe too!
Thanks so much 😄👍🏻
Love the video and doggie. Keep up the good work. I’d like to see you stay in a boothy some time. Cheers from the USA!
Thanks so much for watching! Maybe a winter bothy trip is on the cards 😁
Lived in Melvaig for a while. Never visited this beach though. Wasn’t aware it was there. Often walked, or jogged, to the lighthouse along the road… back when it was an outward bounds centre.
It's a great spot! 👍🏻
Nice video and lovely place to camp. Its good you take your dog with you. The long drives often puts me off the north west but love it when I am there.
Thanks so much for watching 😁👍 loving your channel name!
Just found your channel. Am loving it so far!!
Thank you Rena 😄
Stumbled across your channel by chance, and i'm loving it. I subscribed immediately, keep the videos coming. 😃😃😃
Thanks so much for watching Alistair and choosing to stick around, much appreciated 😄👍
That location looks well worth that walk. Sleeping to the sound of the waves has to be so chill, no wonder you slept so well!
Always prefer sleeping with ambient noise 😄 thanks Ian 👍
That is the absolute dream, def want to get a beach camp in soon!
Thanks for watching Daz 😁👍
What a beautiful spot!
how you're that jammy you had the spot all to yourselves 😂 great video as always mate 🙌🏻
Thanks Matt! Lucked out again 😂
Just discovered your channel. A Highlands wild camper myself :) Also spend days staring at maps, love them. That's a great stretch of coastline and a stunning beach. The bothy has been there a while, a good few years now, although looks like it's had a wee spruce up since I was there last. Loving your vids, cheers mate.
Thanks so much for watching 😁👍
Great video and what a place to camp.
Love the info as always.
Plastic is a massive problem all over. Defo something needs done about it all.
But as you say with lots of other problems going on in the world, where do we start.
Keep em coming Sam. Dargh is a start.
Thanks so much for watching as always 😄👍
Beautiful place thanks for sharing pal.
Thanks for watching Gary 👍
Another great video and very inspirational! And greetings from Thornhill :-)
Thank you 😄👍
Excellent video as ever pal 👍🏻
Thanks so much Paul 😄👍
Truly amazing place - you are a very very lucky man to be able to enjoy such locations without paying thousands of $$ to get there, PLUS you have that awesome pup as a companion!
[Next time a Scot makes a summer video involving skin exposure, he should provide a written warning about a potential corneas damage due to excessive brightness of said skin! - true hazard in the Canuck land too ;-P]
😂 I didn't think it was that bad! I've never been fussed about having any colour, like you say it's just where we live! Thanks for watching 😄
@@HighlandWoodsman Pale is what I am after! Too much sun exposure can be deadly. All well! Do you!
I agree with you! Having a tan isn't worth it!
Nice moth 👌
Thanks!
Nice content! Greetz from germany 🫶🏼
Thanks for watching 🙌
@@HighlandWoodsman you welcome 😊💪🏼
Another great camp & video sam 👏🏻
When and where yi planning for the next one? 🥃
Thanks as always Steve! Not sure yet it's getting harder to find somewhere quiet now with the school holidays 😂
What kind of knife should you use to get shavings off branches to start a fire with, please?
It's going to sound like I'm being funny but...a sharp one! It doesn't have to be a big brute of a knife just well sharpened and fit for purpose. A fixed blade will make it easier. A thinner blade will also make it easier for fine shavings. A thicker blade tends to 'hack' into the wood. Something like Mora Companion is a great knife to start with.
Thanks @@HighlandWoodsman
Great spot mate - you’re right buddy the world is pretty messed up
Take care and Atb 👍🏽
Thanks Dave, much appreciated! Will be watching your latest this weekend. Have a good one 👍
@@HighlandWoodsman not been out - mojo is low
So wild swimming local beach dog walks - chill
Cheers for support
When I am up in Aviemore next think about hook up for dog walk 👍🏽
Sometimes it's good to take a step back from all of this stuff. Keep trying to watch your Lochan video but it keeps disappearing, issues with uploading? Cheers
@@HighlandWoodsman yeh been a real hassle should be working now
Cheers for support mate
Have a good week
Atb 👍🏽
Great location, and yeah it’s getting hard to go anywhere without seeing plastic, and with our coastline it’s a nightmare to think about. What’s the beach on the North West tip? Info slipped in nicely by the way.
Thanks for watching! 😄👍 Sorry are you asking what beach this is?
@@HighlandWoodsman Sorry was half asleep, was thinking about Sandwood Bay Beach, and asked a question I could have easily looked up lol
@@bredache no problem 😂
Hey buddy l.... where can I find this beach? I usually use the campsite at gairloch ....
I left all the clues 😁👍
I no you can't tell me the name of the place but can you tell me the closest town where this is as would love to go somewhere like this with the wife and the dogs
You can Google the name of the lighthouse and the name of the beach was on the sign 👀 😁👍
Hi mate, is the beach close to North Erradale?
Yes 👍
what you could have done was get your self a large fertilizer bag pick up the beach rubbish and BURN IT pretty straight forward really im fishing tomorrow and i always clean up my stretch of beach and start it to light my fire so next time think out side your box.
I'm sure you thought that comment was clever and self righteous at the time but there are 100s of kg of plastic washing into these beaches every day so me sitting burning a bit of plastic isn't going to make a difference. Maybe get back in your box and engage your own brain.
Care to share where this is?
All the clues were in the video 👀
