@@rockymtnredneck4888 I feel pretty good about what I have gotten done. Not too much struggling. I am worried about the rear cab bolts. They look bad. I have been spraying them with PB blaster but not sure that will be enough. If those bolts snap it's going to be a lot more work.
@@scottblake6850 It is a lot of work. I really wanted a Polaris 1500 but not happy with Polaris. I will fix this truck up for a fraction of the cost of a 1500 and this truck will do more. And I can keep my 1000xp and not have to trade or sell and lose money. It's a win win for me.
Yep rust belt USA I miss living on the farm in northern Michigan! but l don't have any trouble with bolts or rust down here in Florida 😂 great video my friend 😎
@@waltersteffensthezr2man431 The ocean air doesn't do anything? Seems like it might be humid there all the time. Or salty air?? I don't know I have never been down there.
@@mossman381 if you had a vehicle very close to the beach yes but it's very minimal!! But yeah I don't like humidity doesn't really cause too much rust takes long time nothing like the salt roads up north!!
When I was hauling heavy loads for the food bank I replaced my bump stop with a rubber helper kit which prevented saging but had no effect on an unloaded box
I just made a new bump stop and welded it in. It will be in the next video. I don't plan to haul heavy loads with this truck. You can get helper springs, but they are $150.
yeah always work on the s10s- just finished a 99stepside- now the 2000 jimmy - just 2 bolts from body mount dissapeared ;- ()) - glad theres another 6 to hold that thing together- theres some welding to come- as long as motor and tranny is ok im gonna repair those things...
Is it possible for you to get a part/model number off of you 53" Stanless Craftsman Tool Chest that you reviewed years ago? I own three of them and am in need of drawer slides and none of mine have a part number or model number anywhere.

Of all of the guys I see battle rust, I think you battle it the best.
Years ago, this was the first truck I watched you build. You gotta save it. This truck has history.
