    Excellent advice, you nailed it. We take long trips and sometimes points A to B, are all day in the saddle. Man, you covered it all, especially the comfort part.

    I'm totally with you on the music thing. Who cares what the other drivers think. It's your ride. I sometimes start bobbing my head and randomly throw up the horns when I'm cruising down the highway🤘

    Good video Ben. The C4 energy drinks are pretty good and hydration is a big key! Good stuff buddy.

      I do limit myself on the C$ because there are some suspect chemicals in there but they are a good jumpstart! thanks for watching!

    100% with you on leaving early. The goal is to get through New York by 8am if you live in New England. I alternate between redbulls/MTdew and water/sports drinks. It works most of the time. Good luck on your ride.

    Any comfort mod, is always worth it. Don't forget to adjust your shocks for the weight of extra gear. It helps even if you have stock shocks that only have a preload adjustment.
    Take care Ben, ride safe.

    Great stuff. I am very bad at staying hydrated. I've pushed it to far a few times and that was not good. Music is always a must. I've also done some audio books and podcast. 100% on being comfortable. Safe travels!

    • @BikesBeardsAndBrews
      @BikesBeardsAndBrews  ปีที่แล้ว

      Love me some podcasts though I prefer those in cars vs on bikes just so I can hear them better. Did you finish Bear Brook?

    • @MinnowMoto
      @MinnowMoto ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BikesBeardsAndBrews Bear Brook was great. I stumbled across one called Morbid. I like it. That Shoei helmet is so quiet and Cardo speakers are so good. No problem hearing them.

    Tons of great tips, I also put together a music playlist on my trip to Ohio recently. Unfortunately going a majority of the back mountain roads through West Virginia I had zero cell service. My initial cloud loaded playlist died 30 miles into the trip, lol.

    • @BikesBeardsAndBrews

    Good advice man! I think people forget about laundry mats. Some people think they need a wardrobe change after every fart and bring a lot of unnecessary clothing.

    • @BikesBeardsAndBrews
      @BikesBeardsAndBrews  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      literally blueberry is always my go to. Yeah, unless you're doing fancy restaurants or high end sort of gatherings there's really no need for non stop wardrobe changes

    when it comes to eating while travelling i do the same, a bagel and some fresh fruit in the am, water/propel and a almond snickers or planters trail mix, works perfect for me.....bad karaoke!!! hell yes!!! i have a dedicated ipod for my music, my phone is only out if i need the gps, according to itunes i have enough music for over 5 days on shuffle lol so i'm good, and yes shuffle!!! i need to learn to pack better, i usually have enough drawers and socks to last a few more days than the trip, learned that in the army, dry feet and crotch and always use powder!!! i'm getting better though, i have klim riding pants that are 100% water proof but have big vents that zip open, i also use those arm sleeves that have uv protection because i hate soaking myself in spray, plus they protect my tattoos......looking forward to your video from the 120th dude, because my dumbass didn't go..lol ride safe!!! sláinte!! btw, i like that new little logo at the beginning.....

    • @BikesBeardsAndBrews
      @BikesBeardsAndBrews  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I thought about getting the sleeves though I usually just wear a long sleeve compression shirt for the same reason. Good tips man!

    i usually try to keep caffeine to the second half of the trip, but sometimes i'm starting the day that way and it's a grind, lol. The only drink that doesn't give me a crash is the uptime zero sugar drinks (they are in the white cans). we are about to leave for an 8 day ride to every harley dealership in texas...bet i'ma have a hydration pack!!!

    Bigger bikes don't usually have to deal with this bit scooters and mini bike riders have to make sure that they have a plan for an external gas tank since there may be some stretches of roads that will have gas ststions that will be too far to go on a small gas tank.
