This is hands down my favorite Maddie solo from all 5 seasons. It was absolutely gorgeous, and her faces were stellar, not to forget how easy she made it look. I hope that there will be more solos and routines like this in the future.
Same I loved the simplicity of everything, sometimes less is more :)

I know they told her to relax her face during her turns, (and I noticed her face too) but she's supposed to be a mannequin. Mannequins don't relax their face, that was apart of the character she was playing.

No dumbass. The mannquein starts to feel. It wants to be more than plastic
+Sarah The 'dumbass' was unnecessary. No point in calling names, I was just stating what I thought. But you could be right about the emotional stance in this dance. I just thought it was odd, because Maddie's face is normally not stiff, so it seemed as if she were just playing the part. I could be wrong though.
+Emily De La Cruz They could have meant that she had tension in her face. You could see just a little tension in her face when she turned.

I loved this solo. It was different from others, not just turns, aerials, and more turns. It was flawless, and it really brought out the Maddie we don't see much of
seriously I don't get tired of watching this. the moves are so precise and amazing and the song and hee facial expressions and aaaa it's awesome. wished I could dance like that but I also love watching it.

I love this solo just because this is legit my favorite song, not just from dance moms, like irl this is my favorite song. And I feel like im the only one that noticed that she only says something about a mannequin once, but it kinda sets a feel for the whole song, which is why they used it.
I love lots of Maddies solos but this is my favourite. Just beautiful ❤️

I hate it when nia says opportunities are taken away from her because new kids are showing up! It's unbelievable, maybe she didn't get that opportunity because she wasn't good enough! I mean I love nia but she is starting to get really Nagy.

Like what does Nia expect? there are plenty of dancers out there and she shouldn't accuse them of "taking away her opportunities" just because they exist...for instance when jojo becomes part of the ALDC team. i also think she has been getting a little sassy...people are like "yeah Nia stand up for yourself" but you shouldn't argue with your teacher out of RESPECT...idk i don't like her defiant "I'm the better person" attitude sometimes

me neither. but the producers could have just thrown random 'critiques' at random parts. for all we know, maybe they were talking about someone who doesnt even go to aldc. the producers film all the stuff. thats how they have the snippets of the other dancers right before they show the aldc dancers. and it does sound like something the producers will do...

Was all the critiques from the judges put on by the producers? They judged Maddie the most but she won, and then Nia got most praise and she didn't even place. Kendall didn't place either. I thought Nia would win based on that critiques. That's why I assume it was for show because Maddie's Abby's fav and they wanted ot piss Abby off, lol.
I wish the show was more real. I heard a lot of it is just planned by producers and they even have fake comps?
im pretty sure the lifetime producers cut all of maddie's positive comments and all of nia's negative comments. drama reasons.
Anyone else reminded of Chandelier by this dance? I first thought of it because some of Maddie's "mechanised" expressions were similar and then I realised that there's also the fact that both dances involve a skin-colour leotard, lol.

I do agree with the judges corrections, she should be getting ballet classes regularly, that’s what causing her not to really plié and that’s damaging her technique significantly

It's a tie between this solo and her other solo all gods creatures those are my top two favorites I love them
This is amazing. She slayed those turns, and her facials were on point for most of it! The only thing I will say, is that she appears to lack the technique required for some of the more isolated parts of the dance, (her arms being at an awkward angle, and her timing slightly off,) and that 'The Maddie face,' STARTED to peek through at some points.
But overall, an amazing performance! It's refreshing to see her do something different and mostly pull off such a challenge. I hope she won.
P.S: Did you see that guy behind the curtain at 1:43, wagging his finger at her.
