Talia’s choreography was very random. The song didn’t seem to match the story either. Was there even a story? 😅 Gorgeous dancer, not so interesting story/choreography/music. I agree that Maddie performed better this day. I could really feel the emotions and story.

Maddie was a great dancer for her age, and she’s also a great dancer now. She was painted as the favourite in the show to create drama, and it was definitely putting a lot of stress on her to perform well because one mistake and she would be picked apart by the audience. Frankly, if I were in her position, I would have mental breakdowns every day. Whether or not she’s the most successful one out of dance moms today doesn’t matter, no one should have to compete with their friends - I don’t compete with my friends Edit: I also wanna say that if I have ppl constantly compare me to my friends, I’ll honestly find it pretty hard to maintain a genuine relationship - it’s just gonna feel like every time we interact it’ll be a chance for ppl to contrast our abilities Another edit: apparently people love to judge someone based on heavily edited footage.

Fragile Forest was stunning as well! Definitely one of my favorite Kalani solos. I feel like it wasn’t aired because producers didn’t think it would stir up enough drama. They thought that out-of-studio competition would stir up more drama than Maddie vs Kalani. I have a feeling that if Lifetime knew both Maddie and Kalani would receive perfect scores, then there definitely would’ve been a Maddie vs Kalani storyline.

Talia danced beautifully. I think she would have placed higher if the chair was utilized more and her dance wasn't as repetitive. She did a turn every 2-3 8 counts and it just felt like I was watching the same part over and over again.

I actually don’t think this was the case Here. This dance was what got Maddie into The Dance Awards, and I highly doubt that TDA would accept or consider a fake competition as an acceptance. It is possible, however, that Lifetime covered up Talia’s real score. Talia might’ve scored well in her own division or gotten a special award that wasn’t mentioned.
@@pric4799 yeah, my sense is it was definitely a Lifetime thing. While Maddie danced this number at TDA, I still think Talia’s solo was more suitable for that competition. Maddie’s technique was very good but TDA solos have a different style that I could’ve seen Talia’s solo place well in at that competition. I think this solo definitely helped Maddie place 3rd at TDA, but there are more components to the score than just the solo

Here's the thing. As much as Abby can be reasonable, she only has one person to blame for them leaving and that's herself. She did the whole temper tantrum thing, and they wanted to dance. Like what does she me by "they betrayed me". You betrayed them by not showing up for a while.
I agree, I found as the show got more popular Abby Changed and got worse, she wasn't too bad, not condoning her behaviour, at the beginning of season 1 but compared to later seasons. Still why the moms influenced if their child could dance was beyond me.
Judges got it right. Maddies dance was technically more difficult with variance of turns, armless lift to her feet, and a front and side Arial compared to Talias program. Choreography had more tension, was more dramatic, and she did well emphasizing.her move with the right note of the music. Plus her acting was better because she had a better story to betray.
The reason Maddie is were she is today with her dancing is because she actually out time and effort into everything she did and still does. Yes Talia works 20-25 hours a week but Maddie works more. Maddie was only the favourite because she knows what Abby likes to see. She is a phenomenal dancer! In all fairness, for her age back then it’s absolutely mind blowing. No wonder her sister, mom and Abby were so proud of her! Hate on her all you want but believe you me, whatever you say is all false.

One thing that I love about the Aldc dances is that they always tell a story that you don’t get out of a lot of other dances. While they were both amazing dancers, Talias dance didn’t do much for me
Talia is such a great dancer, but tbh Energy Dance is such a talent packed competition, Talia didn’t really utilize the chair nor her facial expressions that well and didn’t have a story line to follow throughout the dance. She just kept doing turns and turn sequences. Maddie on the other hand had a story that everyone in the audience can tell. She uses her emotions so well you can tell when she dances all the time. That’s the difference between both of em. Maddie was chosen by Sia because of things like her face and her amazing talent that always shows when she dances.

I didn't understand Talia's solo or costume, even though it was beautiful so that could've been one of the parts where her score faltered, her attitiude turn at the end was also a llittle wobbly

That’s why she wasn’t in top 5, facials and understanding the dance is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT when judging a dancer!

Talia danced beautifully. I think she would have placed higher if the chair was utilized more and her dance wasn't as repetitive. She did a turn every 2-3 8 counts and it just felt like I was watching the same part over and over again.

I actually don’t think this was the case Here. This dance was what got Maddie into The Dance Awards, and I highly doubt that TDA would accept or consider a fake competition as an acceptance.
It is possible, however, that Lifetime covered up Talia’s real score. Talia might’ve scored well in her own division or gotten a special award that wasn’t mentioned.
@@pric4799 yeah, my sense is it was definitely a Lifetime thing. While Maddie danced this number at TDA, I still think Talia’s solo was more suitable for that competition. Maddie’s technique was very good but TDA solos have a different style that I could’ve seen Talia’s solo place well in at that competition.
I think this solo definitely helped Maddie place 3rd at TDA, but there are more components to the score than just the solo

Here's the thing. As much as Abby can be reasonable, she only has one person to blame for them leaving and that's herself. She did the whole temper tantrum thing, and they wanted to dance. Like what does she me by "they betrayed me". You betrayed them by not showing up for a while.
I agree, I found as the show got more popular Abby Changed and got worse, she wasn't too bad, not condoning her behaviour, at the beginning of season 1 but compared to later seasons. Still why the moms influenced if their child could dance was beyond me.

Judges got it right. Maddies dance was technically more difficult with variance of turns, armless lift to her feet, and a front and side Arial compared to Talias program.
Choreography had more tension, was more dramatic, and she did well emphasizing.her move with the right note of the music. Plus her acting was better because she had a better story to betray.

The reason Maddie is were she is today with her dancing is because she actually out time and effort into everything she did and still does. Yes Talia works 20-25 hours a week but Maddie works more. Maddie was only the favourite because she knows what Abby likes to see. She is a phenomenal dancer! In all fairness, for her age back then it’s absolutely mind blowing. No wonder her sister, mom and Abby were so proud of her! Hate on her all you want but believe you me, whatever you say is all false.
This is my favorite Maddie solo ever, she did amazing with it here and during the Dance Awards

Talia is not better than Maddie PERIODT. Maddie has a talent that nobody else has. Rival studios just don’t understand. Maddie is just such a special dancer and can unlock her acting abilities like no other dancer I’ve seen on the show. Melissa is not wrong about Maddie being a star because she is.

One thing that I love about the Aldc dances is that they always tell a story that you don’t get out of a lot of other dances. While they were both amazing dancers, Talias dance didn’t do much for me
Talia is such a great dancer, but tbh Energy Dance is such a talent packed competition, Talia didn’t really utilize the chair nor her facial expressions that well and didn’t have a story line to follow throughout the dance. She just kept doing turns and turn sequences. Maddie on the other hand had a story that everyone in the audience can tell. She uses her emotions so well you can tell when she dances all the time. That’s the difference between both of em. Maddie was chosen by Sia because of things like her face and her amazing talent that always shows when she dances.
