Wendy Nerd I’m Swedish & Italian. My mom is the Italian one and she’s super tan, but I got my dads genes and I’m pale as anything. Every blemish is visible, I have eczema that cracks and bleeds, and I have to lather on SPF 50 sunscreen or else I’ll fry in the sun. I’ve always envied beautiful dark-skinned women. We’re all beautiful in our own way though ❤️
I like the mother, she is one of the few pageant moms that don't stir up drama, abuse their kids, or inappropriately oversexualise their kids, instead she is calm, and caring to her daughter idolising and looking up to Beyonce 💕
Right, but the mother does too much for her daughter, the poor kid might regret getting a tan when she grows up. Certain things can't be undone if you change your mind, and that's a lesson.
If she was sweet and normal she’d teach her toddler who isn’t even IN KINDERGARTEN to love and embrace her skin color to be proud of who she is and not try to be someone she isn’t I feel so bad she’s gonna have body image issues by the time she reaches primary school :(
This is the first mom on this show that I like! She's so sweet and supportive, even when she said that her little girl doesn't have the smoothest rhythm, she laughed it off because she knew she was having fun! A good mom! Also the way the little girl says "brown" is precious! 😍😍
I love the fact that her mom is embracing her wanting to be brown and not trying to discourage her child from admiring black people or brown skin a lot of people like to try to deter their children away from what society seems as not beautiful so I commend the mother 100% on being supportive of her daughters view on beauty
I totally agree but don't you think at some point she might not like her natural colour . Every colour/shade is beautiful . it worried me when she wanted to get the tan done again. correct me if i'm wrong
I loved this too and in the current climate, this was so uplifting to watch! 😍😭 This shows PROGRESS and the hope I have for our next generation. Beyoncé is the living embodiment of a GODDESS! She manifests the power of divine feminine energy (utterly beautiful inside and out, possesses superpowers, and is a force to be reckoned with). She is the ultimate female hero! What little girl wouldn’t want to be like her?! 😇 And I’m so happy we are at a point where a little girl can identify with/gravitate towards a doll of ANY color! When it comes to WOC, there’s this pervasive attitude of “inclusiveness”...a lot of times brown ppl are only acknowledged as an afterthought or are the token minority person to round out a group of beautiful white girls for “fairness”. They are never idolized or put first or are thought of as the main character. They never get to play the hero role. But with this little girl? Nope! She doesn’t just want to “include the brown girl”, she wants to BE her!!! FIRST CHOICE 😍 Every time I hear about a Karen in the media and feel like the world is going to hell, I’m going to remember this little girl. 😭
P.S. To everyone saying this girl is going to grow up thinking her skin color is ugly, I highly doubt that. White = beautiful is a belief that is constantly reinforced in our society so I think she will inevitably realize her skin color is beautiful as well. The real underlying thing she might become envious of is Beyoncé’s TALENT. I hope these parents don’t focus too much on the “facial beauty” aspect of these pageants...even though she’s clearly gorgeous and this video has 15M views (it’s not even close 😂). Like don’t become a stage mom, but help your daughter find and nurture her talents and use the pageant scene to help develop her confidence and star power!!!! Beauty is great and there are lots of pretty girls out there but there is only ONE Beyoncé’ and she is beautiful AND smart AND talented AND kind. 😏💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

So calling someone peach or brown rather than white or black makes it not about race? I don’t see how one makes it about race and the other doesn’t. I mean it seems like the mom is saying that to not come off as if she is talking about races but even if she used the words white or black, it wouldn’t be racist if she’s just saying that her daughter likes black dolls

I love that she finds darker skin beautiful but I think it would be better to not give her a spray tan but instead teach her to love her own skin color😊
It warms my heart so much as a dark skinned person that she loves it so much! We need more people like this and she is a very beautiful girl!! I also love that the mom supports it!
I've espetially loved how while preparing her routine her mother admitted that her daughter may not be the most coordinated girl out there, but she has her points of strenght (like her personality, cuteness, smile...) so she's trying to valorise them without making her feel unworthy or not good enough for something she really liked.
I love that she thinks black skin is beautiful and that her mother isn't telling her otherwise, but i do think she should learn to love the skin she's in only because this is how a lot of black and brown girls are when they were younger they thought that lighter skin is better than having them growing up hating the skin their in
Yea, I'm dark skinned, and I always wished to look like Beyonce because her skin is light. Kids would bully me and call me names and say I'm so black I'm purple. I hated my skin for half of my life.
@@kate-quit6089 ummm do you know how many different shades and skin colours there is like it’s not just black and white. I'm not using her to feel better about myself I'm just saying the fact that she thinks brown skin is beautiful makes me appreciate it more especially since people look down on the ones with darker skin. Now if you read the whole comment you would see that I said she should appreciate the skin that she has because her natural skin is beautiful.
I love how she appreciates darker skin tones but a spray tan for a four year old is kinda unhealthy, plus she should love her skin color to because it’s also beautiful
Mom: "Naturally beautiful" Also her: *tans kid* Ngl tho the mom is really nice, and its adorable her kid wants to be dark and she doesn't shame her for it 😂😂🥰
She's a child and just wants to be like someone she thinks is beautiful. She doesn't have a concept of race, appropriation or anything else. I hope she's taught to embrace and appreciate racial/ethnic differences in the future.
Term-B Phillip agreed its sweet but the fact that the mum not once said oh honey you should love ur skin and instead was like oh well just take her tanning again she is gonna grow up to be one of those Instagram black fishers it was such a toxic message
She may not be racist but the act is racist, white adults and children wanna look black until it's time to get the police called on you multiple times for no valid reason before you even turn 15. Changing your skin to be black is not ok.
She hates it at first but then loves it later on when she's all ready. I do kind of agree with you but it's her choice to do pageants. These parents aren't nearly as bad as some of the other ones.
I actually love how much this mom accepts her daughter’s quirks, especially her dancing, instead of striving for perfection. This is also one of few cases where the daughter wants to do pageants just as much, if not more, than her mom!
Katie Young ok imagine if it was the other way round a girl only liked white dolls and thought black dolls were ugly. That wouldn’t be acceptable. Being racist isn’t about hating black people it’s about not treating people equally because of the colour of their skin. She is being racist because she thinks that a certain skin type is more superior. Because she is a child this is not her fault because she does not understand how the world works
@@phoebepalmer9314 You have looked WAY to deep into this. She A) doesn't think White or black doll are ugly. She doesn't think that they're more superior. She just prefers them because her idol is a black woman 🤷🏻♀️

i know,they're so cute.
I've espetially loved how while preparing her routine her mother admitted that her daughter may not be the most coordinated girl out there, but she has her points of strenght (like her personality, cuteness, smile...) so she's trying to valorise them without making her feel unworthy or not good enough for something she really liked.
Yeah
Cat S yeah. Usually the daughter and mom pairs when the kid is in a beauty pageant is very negative
At least she’s not racist or spoiled rotten

I love that she thinks black skin is beautiful and that her mother isn't telling her otherwise, but i do think she should learn to love the skin she's in only because this is how a lot of black and brown girls are when they were younger they thought that lighter skin is better than having them growing up hating the skin their in

It's nice that she is allowed to appreciate the beauty of brown skin. As a Black girl, the only thing I would be concerned about is the health of the spray tan, that she grows up appreciating her own individual beauty as well , and they she be educated on the history of race issues.
