    Chelsea robbed us of £65m on a mason mount with 1 year left on his contract. On pure principle Garnacho should not be sold to Chelsea for less than £100m. I wouldn’t sell him personally but looks like ineos want to sell. If we sell him for less than we paid for mount I might actually be sick 😂

      @anthonyguiness9 that is true, but even now we're stuck on this idea of hiring 1 dimensional managers who require a specific profile of player and we then insist that manager be backed.
      I believe SAF would just trust his scouts to find him good players. He then tried to get the best out of him, it didn't always work.
      I think Amorim is being too rigid ATM, he needs to get the players on board before he starts loading his ideas.
      And to do that you need the players to win games, and to do that he needs to get the best out of them.
      His system right now doesn't do that.
      I will die on the hill that whilst we ain't got a title winning squad, we should be able to get 4th with this squad.

      The thing people used to constantly say about Ronaldo was, "There's no end product." That was 2004/2005. In today's social media climate when nearly every move he does ends in a shot straight at the goalkeeper, social media influencers are saying he's the finished article. Garnacho needs to be held to higher standards with constructive criticism.

    Right, let’s keep making emotional decisions, because that has gotten us somewhere. We didn’t sell Lingard, Pogba, Martial because we thought they would be massive players for us, instead of taking the money and reinvesting into a squad that was in dire need of it. Amorim needs players for this to work, and we haven’t got the funds unless we sell. Garnacho doesn’t fit, the manager doesn’t want him. If we don’t sell him we’re undermining the manager.

    • @sanjaydhirwan791
      @sanjaydhirwan791 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      you are missing the main point, we couldnt sell them because of their wages as well
      right now if a club had an option to buy between rashford, sancho, anthony, and garnacho, most clubs would take their chances with garnacho
      there is a reason why sancho is out on on loan for the 2nd season in a row, there is a reason why there are no buyers for rashford and anthony has left on a loan as well
      ideally these 3 players should be sold to bring in a decent transfer fee, can these 3 players together not bring in like 70-80 mil?
      thats why garnacho is being sold, he is easier to sell due to his wages and age, he will count as pure profit so that helps with PSR

    • @Busterman28
      @Busterman28 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @while I partially agree, that’s not the point. Garnacho is the only player that brings in money, yes, but time and time again we haven’t sold players for sentimental reasons. martial, Rashford, Pogba, lingard under Jose/Ole. This was pre-contract for martial and Rashford, and there were many suitors for Pogba. We didn’t sell them because “they were young exciting players”, but the manager didn’t want them. That’s why Jose left.
      We never sold them because either the owners liked them, or we were too scared to pull the trigger.

    Reading through these comments is both and fascinating and concerning insight into the United fans of today.
    I get that Garnacho was bought by the club a few years ago, young lad has spent a few years in the academy, given his debut and has given you some nice moment in the last 3 years, but where are your standards? You cannot seriously sit there and back Garnacho with such chest and want the club to progress under the new manager.
    Garnacho isn't clinical enough to be a striker, he's not intelligent enough to be a #10 and he doesn't have the athleticism to be a wing back. Where are you playing him? His only role at United going forward could be as a sub vs tired legs after 70 mins. How stupid is it to keep someone with actual high value for a role like that?!
    What does Garnacho do? He has weird knack of getting goal and being in decent positions every now and then. I wonder if you're the same person that now backs Maguire to stay at the club just because he had 3 or 4 decent games defending his box in a 3 man back line? Here are some stats for Garnacho this season:
    1. 26% take-on success (that's less than Ismaila Sarr, Andy Robertson and Joelinton)
    2. 64% of his take-ons end up with an opponent tackling him (that's worse than Welbeck and Jordan Ayew)
    3. He has the 9th most big chances missed this year (10) despite playing only 58% of full minutes
    4. 13 successful take-ons (that's in the 36th percentile, remember he IS a winger after all)
    What's very clear is that you like the kid. You talk about this "potential". He's played 118 games, when does the decision making get better? When do you learn to take on your man as a winger? 28? 29? His ceiling is lower than you want to believe, you have to accept it. He's not the player you make him out to be. Yes he got a lovely goal and the Puskas award, he got the assist for Amad vs Liverpool (where he nearly messed it up and left Amad with more work to do) and he got gifted a FA Cup final tap in vs City.
    Take those few things out and you have a Januzaj that got more games. In fact, Januzaj was a better footballer who broke into a better team. Come back down to earth, sell him for some money that can be invested into proper players that suit our new system.

      Respect that comment. Totally agree. United fans are afraid to get rid of someone half decent to take a chance on someone that could be excellent. Right now United need experienced players about about 24,25 who aren't afraid to get tough on an opponent.
      There's a thousand players out there that improve on Garnacho for me. Get the money, move on. This situation isn't as precious as people make it out to be.

      Thank you for this comment. Reading comments like “it would be awfull to see him play for Chelsea” proves maturity of this fan base. Our fans were used to idolising players in SAF times and that is very visited today. First we defended Pogba with our lives, then Rashfords, Lingards and Martials, and take a look at their imprint that they ve left at this club, it will be forgotten in 5 years (some of them already). I would not mind seing Garnacho get Balon d Or if that means these 60 millions help us get back to the track. Plus this isnt one of those Ten Hag decisions where you push legends of the game like Ronaldo and De Gea out of the club for your own tactics, this legit just simply makes sense.

      He is 20 years OLD, all that stats you are talking about, look at the players you are comparing him with, do you expect a 20 year old to top those charts?
      he has played 118 games and that is another issue with the club, this is 2nd full season at the club, he shouldnt be playing these many games, you cant just put a young academy player out there and expect him to carry the club
      there is no room for making mistakes and growth, also what would the next breakthrough prospect look at the environment and think about his future? the club which boasts about bringing youth through has fallen to place where we are relying on selling our academy players so that we can buy players from other leagues?
      you are talking about Januzaj, also talk about Dean Henderson, James Garner, Angel Gomes, they were highly rated in the youth set up and also did well out on loan, but we sold them to buy replacements from other clubs, how well has that worked for us so far?
