Pertaining to the question "How can I be a better role model?", I believe it needs to go deeper than just "to others". I believe we need to lead our selves; so the question becomes... "How can I be a better role model to others and my self as well?".
Question #1 is huge for me. I am working hard to no longer be emotionally muted. It has been my mode for a number of years now and I recognize that it is unhealthy and unproductive for me and everyone around me. I have a great service to provide the world and desire to execute as a whole and integrated person.
Re. “Selfish Clod.” This is the true joy in life, being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one. Being a force of nature instead of a feverish, selfish little clod of ailments and grievances, complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy. I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it what I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work, the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no brief candle to me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations. George Bernard Shaw

There are only 425 people in the town I live in. We have a restaurant, an ice cream shop, a post office, 2 churches, a veterinary clinic, a school, and not even 1 stop light; and a nature preserve.
