So if we're talking solely on speed, you contradicted yourself in your second sentence. No one is saying it's the best, they're saying it's the fastest, which is objectively true
My first mistake was building my base at the ruins near the start of the game. Not the very bottom. That place just below the first statue fast travel thing. On the bright side nobody has attacked my base and I actually DO have room to build all I need.
I built right beside the ruins, it has plenty of Paldium nodes by the river, wood and at least 3 stone nodes. Overall a pretty good spot. Raids almost always spawn across the river and choke at the ruins.
The area at the bottom of the cliff with the starting ruins across the little bridge with the lake is great. Idk why anyone would consider that a mistake as a 1st base. There are tons of trees, and ore nearby and the spot is very defensible.
@qwertiedota Update - There WAS a single raid which came from the river side and I saw it coming from the top of the stairs. I quickly setup 2 rope traps at the top and managed to capture 1 of the raiders while 3 got in... Only for them to get swarmed by my 7 worker Pals and me. Suffice to say it ended quickly. Now I'm content with building it there since I know I can defend it easily. It's still not exactly ideal for building fancy structures but it's a starter base. Can't expect much. Besides with fast travel I can get further from the base but still always be in distance if need be to return to drop something off or resupply.
* * EDIT * * you are the first video i have found to finally talk about throwing the pals at the task.... * TIP * I stumbled across this last night while playing and havent seen anyone talk about it or make a video about this..... If you want a PAL to do a certain task , pick up the pal and walk over to the thing you want it to do and aim at the thing you want it to do and make sure it starts to glow ( like you have it highlighted ) and then throw your PAL at it and it will start to do that task and stay on that task ( for the most part ) ( all depends on how many "things" you have for your PAL to do at your base ) EX : if you have a stone block placed down and your base is at a ore location.. the pals wont touch the ORE.. unless you deconstruct the stone block. and if a PAL has multiple abilities , it will by default start doing other tasks. but i found it EXTREMLY helpful to grab the PAL i need to do a certain task and throw it at the thing i need it to do and it will start doing it.
Something you didn't mention when talking about pals' traits, positive traits often have negatives to go with them. For example, your Robinquill at 11:28 has the musclehead trait, which increases damage (I think). More importantly, it ALSO reduces that pal's work speed by 50%, which makes it almost useless in your base.
almost level 40 had no idea there was a slide function. hoping this game eventually adds the work and storage assignment features from Rimworld and Necesse. Sometimes they can't be lifted up, especially when they get stuck. always have to throw them back into box to reset
I build my base on a cliff and now the raid enemies cant attack me because they dont know how to climb lol. They just stand still a few feet away just looking at me. I can just shoot them with a weapon or attack them with Pal skills and they just stand there and take it😂
@@thatguy2920 They do seem to get stuck on occasion, but I just remove them and place them back in and its fixed for a while. When I see that a Pal is really hungry I know it's stuck somewhere
I did that with a small mountain top southwest of the first fast travel statue. Lots of trees and stone, and ore a short jump down the bluff. Raids would walk up to the bluff but be unable to climb the final twenty feet. It is fine for an early base, but you'd probably want a huge flat area for later bases that are packed with buildings.
Why does no-one talk about Wixens as the best mid/lategame Handyman pal? they've got a higher level in that skill and also transport at the same level as robinquill, with only kindling as their only other skill. So when they aren't cooking / refining, they are helping out.
You're talking about it, so your comment retroactively makes itself unnecessary. Just comment, none of that stupid "why isn't anyone talking about.../can we appreciate..." cringeness.
If you go into Bromcherry Aqua's cave, the purple chest that spawns there will randomly drop Ancient Technology Books, which will give you Tech points when used in your inventory
You can also get tech books from chests around the wildlife sanctuary island to the south. So long as you don't set foot on land you won't set off the illegal activity alert. Stay on a flying mount and you'll be fine, I'm not sure about land mounts. And there's also some neat pals there too and pretty flowers(forgot what they're for).
Workspeed is not a very good investment at all. The point of palwolrd is to maximize pals. Such a small time in the game where its useful (maybe 30 mins) thats its a massive waste. I also thinknyou heavily undervalue weight. When you transition into the late game theres alot of things that wont be automated like coal, ore ( you wont have enough from pals alone with base limitations) and may other resources. Hp/weight followed by stam thats about it. The rest are a massive waste or can be gained for accessories.
@La_Lente_Oscura you have a limit on bases. You will not have enough automation from those bases to maintain the insane cost of pal spheres. Among many other things. Maybe you haven't hit the end game, but it simply isn't enough
@La_Lente_Oscura yeah I'm end game level 50, and I have that as well. When you see the cost of a single pal spheres late game, you will see that mining camp is too slow and, quite frankly, not enough to support the cost needed to catch later game pals. The higher level pal balls beside legendary requires a mix of ore and coal not to be confused with charcoal which means the ingots your stocking up on actually won't be usable for the objective biggest bottleneck in the game since you converting them to only ingot. That's not to say they won't be useful. There are plenty of things that will need it, but unless you're in the 3k+ range, it's gonna be rough
@@FervorGaming hm good to know, seems like we need more bases or access to a high tier mining camp like stone and wood. do you unlock a 4th base by then?
Really helpful tip when you create a base for farming build storage boxes next to them so when you have like a thousand wood etc you simply turn and put it in a box and because it's in your base you don't need to carry it, always stick storage boxes beside your farming point areas makes things a lot easier and you don't have to worry about carrying everything
Palworld has a survival guide that tells you a surprising amount of information...if you bother to look at it from the pause menu. I wondered how to make the pals breed with the breeding station. Then I just opened the guide and BAM, there it was.
you can use the grappling gun for carrying over max carry and have a chest by your pal base computer thing so you can tp items to each base as you need them still watching the vid so maybe you cover these
You can also grab an item from a chest but close the window (with tab or esc) while holding the mouse button down. You'll be holding the itme but it won't count as being in your inventory so it won't slow you down. Handy for moving a ton of materials.
cheers for the info, much needed, also those ancient parts you said scroll looking circle things... they're spark plugs from an engine... such a weird icon to use
If you're transferring things base-to-base, just use two storage boxes that are right next to your palbox. You can fast travel overweight, so you just take it out, fast travel, put it back in. Boom, you have access to all resources in your base from any crafting station so you're good to go.
I hope theres a fix on manually setting pals to work. Lift method hitbox can mess up depending on how big they are; making assigning more of a headache
+1 sub to you sir! i really don't get why some people are hating on this game.. its game where players can have fun together with anyone and your comments are very helpful as well, very useful tips! looking forward to more of your videos
I built my main base at the same location you did and realized none of the raids move from their spawn point unless I go over to them and attack and even then only the individual person you attack moves. Seems like a cheese possibility.
What are raids exactly? I’m only a few hours in (and I’ve built my base in the same place). The only time my base was attacked was by one or two of those floating purple guys, cuz they were walking right by and I attacked them. When do other things try invading?
My base first started getting attacked by a group of Lovander then it changed to groups of humans after gaining a few levels. I'm not sure if its based on your level or the level of the base. At that location they rarely come up the rocky ramp and if they do they get stuck at the top. They also spawn on the elevation opposite of the teleporter statue. At that spawn point they don't move unless attacked. @@MisterK-YT
0:35 I use the slide part of this trick to just go down a hill a short ways but if you got a long ways to go I found that direhowls quickfang (it's a charge dash ability) can super jump. While riding direhowl cast quickfang downhill or off a cliff and then jump a few frames after. If done right you can carry quickfangs high speed moment as long as you are airborne. If your fast enough u might even be able to pull out the glider. Quickfang has almost no cool down either so it can be cast repeatedly as long as you don't hit something and pull agro. From what I've seen, this is the fastest movement in the game
Unpopular opinion: the deer (ekthydeer idk how to spell name) is one of the fastest and stamina efficient travel pal due to the skill replenishing stamina mid-dash while also covering more ground
Don’t get it twisted. Level up stamina and capacity then some slight upgrades into hp. HP is awesome but unless you’re wasting time catching lamballs, everything is going to hit your shield then one shot you.

Stay on a flying mount and you'll be fine, I'm not sure about land mounts. And there's also some neat pals there too and pretty flowers(forgot what they're for).
21:57 here's another tip about dying. Instead of respawning at the nearest area or location you died at, respawn on the other islands and hit those fast travels. Dying a few times is obviously super easy in the early game so you can hit all those in a quick timely manner. It'll allow you to travel to the other areas without having to travel super far and most of the areas are still low levels, because obviously, you can choose those locations on death to respawn.
Simple tip to not need much carrry weight. get a flopie and a helper bunny collar. Deploy the flopie and it won't pick stuff up. Dump everything you want to carry on the ground, stand next to fast travel point. Deploy a different pal and flopie will pick up all the stuff you dumped and load you way over max carry. Then fast travel to other location, deploy flopie again drop your weights, walk next to a box, and re deploy flopie to pick it all up again. plant a pal box inside a resource spawn and use riding a mamorest next to the box to mine out all the resources, using flopie to pick up resources. Then you can have 5 full rocks worth of resources, and just fast travel to your main base with all of them in a couple minutes of spamming stomp and grass whirlwind. I only need about 600 weight to carry my kit and use palbox teleporting to carry way over that amount when clearing resource spawns.
Honorable mention should be utilizing the pink cat things for their weight perk. Early on if you need to mine or move stuff around you can get 250 extra weight and later on, upgrading them can get you 1000 extra weight. REALLY helpful when you want to move stuff from bases to base or even just build a new one. Another would be noting where you get chests as they do respawn after some time and make for an easy farm for keys and other valuable mats right off the hop
Hey pal! the Ancient Civillization Parts are old Spark Plugs found in car engines, the game is set in the distant future ;) Thanks for the great videos!!!
Protip about moving resources between bases: There's no weight limit on teleporting. So, build a crate as close as possible to your palbox(es)/world teleporter, load it up with everything, and then just overload your weight cap when transporting goods. Works a charm!
And watching the video further; don't waste time and effort clicking every item when you get back to where you died; press X and it'll instantly transfer and re-equip all of your gear.
Something you kind of glanced over on the first tip is that the slide glide is especially useful for early game, even though it's useful through out the entire game. The main reason being that if a player goes for gliders instead of pal gliders, the first glider has a speed cap that's lower than the player running and then jumping off to start gliding. Like you will slow down from even that. Doing a slide glide with the crappiest glider gives you more time to travel relatively faster (meaning more distance) before you're decelerated to that anemic speed. I'd classify dungeon bosses more akin to "forced alphas" than anything else. It's not really that they're a special variant, I'm pretty sure if there's a boss version of it, that's what will spawn and if there isn't the game just makes it up. Why do I assume this? The alpha Gumoss has the title of something like "Suddenly Transformed" on it. You can go check it in the wild. It's level 11. I fought it in a dungeon, level 11, "Suddenly Transformed" title on it. They're pretty much the alpha bosses or a forced version of it, because I don't think there's a Bristla alpha on the map, but I caught one in a dungeon.
For Handiwork, I was lucky enough to get a Katress early on and then a Wixen that I keep on hand. Since it has Smelting 2 and Handiwork 3, it helps me if I need food on the go or I need to make more ammo/spheres. That was....until my Quivern and Chillet bred me an Anubis. Mining 3 and Handiwork 4! That thing makes stuff super fast!!
Artisan is the best pal trait passive by far. They work 50 percent faster. There’s a pal known as Wixen that spawns in a fire zone I It has lvl 3 handi work with artisan. Pumps shit out fassst. Also can make ingots. If you’re not making ingots it’s the best handi work pal I’ve found.
Tip don't invest stats into workspeed pals will cover that, or attack as you will fine your pals will do most of the damage and damage from better weapons will cover lose of points.
Here's a tip for the direhowl. The pal vendors inventory refreshes very often, and he sell then snd will tell you their abilities. I was able to grab a speed and swift direhowl for like 7k gold from him. I hit the jackpot.
When grabbing ur lost gear, instead of grabbing every individual item and re-equip all ur gear, just press x on keyboard for pc. It will grab all the items and re-equip all ur previously equipped items to their former slots. 🎉
i invested all but a few of my points into carry weight, haven’t gotten overweight once and i’ve mined lots. the other points was to make my stamina 500. the rest doesn’t matter if you’re good 😅
22:18 You dont have to manually move items from your Death Chest. Click the icon with the arrow at the top ofthe pop-up window. This will move all items over and also equip gear/armour automatically.
Not sure if this was mentioned in the comment. To add on gathering resources, it's more efficient if you place storage box on each gathering area. You can just stand in between and grab even thousands of resource and place in the box. Since no limit on storage box and all resources will be added together as long it's in same base camp.
It's worth noting that there is indeed a character respec item in the game, allowing players to make adjustments to their character's build. However, caution is advised against using it at the moment due to a known bug.
Also, if you get the chance mid game, get yourself a Digtoise and get his headband. He makes mining completely trivial because you have a living industrial drill at the ready.
I don't put anything into work speed. I try to keep mostly pals with handy skill in base. A handy lumberer, handy miner, etc... I put something down for them to build, and go back out exploring. 10 pals run up and build it while I'm gone.
I like doing Stamina first and getting it to 180-220. Then Weight because like you said transportation of materials is ass if you have low weight. HP is definitely important at late game. ATK is basically a waste of a stat because of how little you get. 2 atk per stat point is terrible. Also, the cativa pals are great early on for weight increase if you have in party. Their passive stacks so +50 weight per one in party at level 1 skill. Kingpaca can also be used later for this.
Don’t ever upgrade crafting speed. Not even on lower difficulties. On hard mode you can level pretty much exclusively HP and still get absolutely obliterated by everything. So if you plan on higher difficulty just do HP and maybe a point here or there into weight and stam.
You can give any kind of attack to any pal by feeding them the skill fruit of said skill. So you can basically have your pikachu ripoff using dragon and water attacks
22:20 On the death chest of your dead body, there is a button on top, just next to the sort button. It make all the chest go to your inventory. 1 click
Why would you invest into workspeed if after 2-3 hours your pets do almost everything for you and you don’t have to do anything I think it’s a waste of skill points.
I wanted to build a breeding farm for pals, and I just can't place it anymore. My tip: Don't build right in the starting area, find a location with a wide and open space. And don't waste your space, organize it well from the start by leaving spots for later projects.
I’m level 30 and I spread my stats evenly. I’ve had a pretty good time with that and I have everything I need. My damage isn’t bad, well, nothing is bad lol.

Did the same thing just deleted my world and restarted
The area at the bottom of the cliff with the starting ruins across the little bridge with the lake is great. Idk why anyone would consider that a mistake as a 1st base. There are tons of trees, and ore nearby and the spot is very defensible.
@@ghostnope825 you know you could just transfer bases right
@qwertiedota Update - There WAS a single raid which came from the river side and I saw it coming from the top of the stairs.
* TIP *
I stumbled across this last night while playing and havent seen anyone talk about it or make a video about this.....
If you want a PAL to do a certain task , pick up the pal and walk over to the thing you want it to do and aim at the thing you want it to do and make sure it starts to glow ( like you have it highlighted ) and then throw your PAL at it and it will start to do that task and stay on that task ( for the most part ) ( all depends on how many "things" you have for your PAL to do at your base )
EX : if you have a stone block placed down and your base is at a ore location.. the pals wont touch the ORE.. unless you deconstruct the stone block. and if a PAL has multiple abilities , it will by default start doing other tasks.
but i found it EXTREMLY helpful to grab the PAL i need to do a certain task and throw it at the thing i need it to do and it will start doing it.
The campfire next to the egg works depending on the egg. Different eggs need dif Temps. There are also better things to use for this later on
If you leave Repair kits in a box, your pals will use them automatically. Great video, lots of good tips!
I build my base on a cliff and now the raid enemies cant attack me because they dont know how to climb lol. They just stand still a few feet away just looking at me. I can just shoot them with a weapon or attack them with Pal skills and they just stand there and take it😂
Careful with that cause there’s a bug where the pals could get stuck inside rocks when building on cliffs
@@thatguy2920 They do seem to get stuck on occasion, but I just remove them and place them back in and its fixed for a while. When I see that a Pal is really hungry I know it's stuck somewhere
exact same problem that lake was just too tempting not to build their than rock an tree easy access
OK but can we talk about how cute the chillet is when its in the hot tub at like 6:38??? its too cute lmao
Chillet is adorable. Most of the dragons are incredibly cute, quivern is just fluffy reshiram
Why does no-one talk about Wixens as the best mid/lategame Handyman pal? they've got a higher level in that skill and also transport at the same level as robinquill, with only kindling as their only other skill. So when they aren't cooking / refining, they are helping out.
Anubis is far better ngl
@@asiiko6845True, I just think that Wixen is a better choice over robinquill before you get to Anubis
I was also able to breed wixens with direhowl and kelp sea (which I got from direhowl/cativa). So very simple to get
You're talking about it, so your comment retroactively makes itself unnecessary.
Just comment, none of that stupid "why isn't anyone talking about.../can we appreciate..." cringeness.
@@escapedcops08 it ain't that deep
There is a character respec, the Lovanders drop them. It has been very useful, but be careful because it resets your lifmunk upgrades!
If you go into Bromcherry Aqua's cave, the purple chest that spawns there will randomly drop Ancient Technology Books, which will give you Tech points when used in your inventory
A ton of mid to lategame stuff gives those books, theres even epic books that give 3 points each
I have found those in random caves... with random bosses.. I think I have done about 10 caves and have gotten 3 books.
This video makes the game look even better than seeing hours long gameplays does!!
You can automate coal and ore, you just need to build a base around some spawns. They respawn pretty frequently.
@La_Lente_Oscura you have a limit on bases. You will not have enough automation from those bases to maintain the insane cost of pal spheres. Among many other things.
Maybe you haven't hit the end game, but it simply isn't enough
@@FervorGaming there is a spot with 6 or 7 ore mines in it, I put my second base there. Far from end game but been stocking up on ingots.
Really helpful tip when you create a base for farming build storage boxes next to them so when you have like a thousand wood etc you simply turn and put it in a box and because it's in your base you don't need to carry it, always stick storage boxes beside your farming point areas makes things a lot easier and you don't have to worry about carrying everything
you stopped leveling attack the same time as me. LOL i was like WAIIT a minute. attk is only +2 xD
Palworld has a survival guide that tells you a surprising amount of information...if you bother to look at it from the pause menu. I wondered how to make the pals breed with the breeding station. Then I just opened the guide and BAM, there it was.
Anubis is so goated ngl, he's my best pal in the base due to his lvl 4 handiwork
you can use the grappling gun for carrying over max carry and have a chest by your pal base computer thing so you can tp items to each base as you need them still watching the vid so maybe you cover these
You can also grab an item from a chest but close the window (with tab or esc) while holding the mouse button down. You'll be holding the itme but it won't count as being in your inventory so it won't slow you down. Handy for moving a ton of materials.
cheers for the info, much needed, also those ancient parts you said scroll looking circle things... they're spark plugs from an engine... such a weird icon to use
Apparently someone needed to teach you about the transfer all button on your dead body lol
If you're transferring things base-to-base, just use two storage boxes that are right next to your palbox. You can fast travel overweight, so you just take it out, fast travel, put it back in. Boom, you have access to all resources in your base from any crafting station so you're good to go.
When you’re harvesting bones there is a dark pal that doubles the yield from normal type pals.
Katress is the name
You can also catch it as a boss in the roughly north west direction of the starting point
... insane game
I hope theres a fix on manually setting pals to work. Lift method hitbox can mess up depending on how big they are; making assigning more of a headache

Khraze, regarding the workforce, have you noticed or found a fix for when pals get stuck in place just dropping/picking up mats nonstop?
Put em back in the palbox and pull them out
I built my main base at the same location you did and realized none of the raids move from their spawn point unless I go over to them and attack and even then only the individual person you attack moves.

I wish the monitoring stand actually let me set pals to specific jobs lol But no, it just lets me tell them to work harder.
You missed the loot all button from your corpse drop.
Lmao no just learn to read.
It's not an unpopular opinion

Best tip I learned:
12:52 you can swap pal abilities. some of my favorites kept getting overridden
Don’t get it twisted. Level up stamina and capacity then some slight upgrades into hp. HP is awesome but unless you’re wasting time catching lamballs, everything is going to hit your shield then one shot you.
You can get tech books from chests around the wildlife sanctuary island to the far south. So long as you don't set foot on land you won't set off the illegal activity alert. Stay on a flying mount and you'll be fine, I'm not sure about land mounts. And there's also some neat pals there too and pretty flowers(forgot what they're for).
You can move all items at once from any container (dead body included) by clicking the arrow next to "sort" button 22:19
21:24 “you can still throw Poké balls”
I can’t count how many times I’ve called my pals Pokémon 😂
Here is a Tip for you. The boxed Arrow next to the Sort button
in your death chest, click it.🤭
if you click the lil arrow/box button next to sort on your death bag it’ll transfer everything to your inventory immediately 22:25
Finally, someone mentioned the homie Vixy.
22:28 - quick tip for you, press the arrow near the sort button, to get all your stuff at once
Another would be noting where you get chests as they do respawn after some time and make for an easy farm for keys and other valuable mats right off the hop
not sure if its been said in chat, but the grappling hook can be used while overweight. so you can zip around your base when full of loot.
U make this grappling hook with the weapon bench? ( cuz i have it unlocked but cannot make it anywhere )
It’s on the advanced weapon bench I think , and it requires the special skills point found when exploring
Hey pal! the Ancient Civillization Parts are old Spark Plugs found in car engines, the game is set in the distant future ;)
Thanks for the great videos!!!
Congrats on making it to trending. You've come far from No Mans Sky.
Thanks haha
Cheers dude, still learning so much its wild!!
Nice Build spot!!! I built just on the other side of that little pond in my save!
that little icon next to the sort when you pick up your dropped items lets you instantly transfer all of those items to your inventory.
Here's a tip for the direhowl.
The pal vendors inventory refreshes very often, and he sell then snd will tell you their abilities.
I was able to grab a speed and swift direhowl for like 7k gold from him. I hit the jackpot.
So informative, tengkiu so much for all the tips, worth a subscribe
Calling a spark plug a scroll looking circular thing is not something I expected
It's worth noting that there is indeed a character respec item in the game, allowing players to make adjustments to their character's build. However, caution is advised against using it at the moment due to a known bug.
Super helpful stuff! Thanks
Also, if you get the chance mid game, get yourself a Digtoise and get his headband. He makes mining completely trivial because you have a living industrial drill at the ready.
Definitely needed this video
I don't put anything into work speed. I try to keep mostly pals with handy skill in base. A handy lumberer, handy miner, etc... I put something down for them to build, and go back out exploring. 10 pals run up and build it while I'm gone.
How did i not notice the ancient parts are just spark plugs for a vehicle🤣🤣. I still love Palworld
Effigies were broken and infact did not increase catching rate but lowered it, it has been now "fixed" but who knows if it actually is.
1 click
Thanks for the video, these are all great tips!
One thing I noticed is some of the bigger pals get in each others way and they won't produce anything and starve
FACTS
Why would you invest into workspeed if after 2-3 hours your pets do almost everything for you and you don’t have to do anything I think it’s a waste of skill points.
I wanted to build a breeding farm for pals, and I just can't place it anymore.
My tip: Don't build right in the starting area, find a location with a wide and open space. And don't waste your space, organize it well from the start by leaving spots for later projects.
You can also visit vendors in towns if you need bone or any other Pal item needed.
I’m level 30 and I spread my stats evenly. I’ve had a pretty good time with that and I have everything I need. My damage isn’t bad, well, nothing is bad lol.
