Welcome to Scotland Dan we have some beautiful wildlife & scenery it’s a wonderful place to live I’m glad you enjoyed your time here another wonderful video congratulations….
What a fantastic inspirational set of videos and images, rewarding after what looked like a challenging climb. Scottish landscapes are certainly a thing of beauty (lucky sods)😂
A very successful video there Dan, sometimes it all comes together ! Makes the wait worthwhile. Enjoyed the other 2 vids. in the series look forward to part 4. 👍
Yet another great video Dan, you obviously had a good time filming. I was at the location about 30 years back, had Golden Eagle Red deer and a pair of Kestrels stooping at a Raven down a rock face.. Looking forward to the Goshawks , I used to fly a female named Nel back in the day, awesome hunters. Many thanks. 👌
Passion on that mountain Dan showed in the colour of your face for what lengths we do to appreciate wildlife. Had me knackered just watching from the comfort of my chair ,great work mate love it
Awesome! Great to see plenty of hares in that location where there was something of a population crash a few years ago... I'll need to head back that way sometime soon!
Lovely video and images. Wow spent two weeks away - one in Scotland and the other in North West Midlands where we spent a morning at the Martin Mere Wetlands. Also visited three RSPB reserve - Loch Spynie, Loch Leven and Burton Mere. Plenty of birds but nothing as spectacular as your footage!
From stills to video, phenomenal production ! Funny I found this today, especially after being out this morning, here in Alberta, Canada shooting white-tailed jackrabbits. Subscribed, liked and looking forward to more of your productions !! Cheers......
Hi Dan I went up to the Peak District in half term after your last video your location I found my first hare after 10 minutes of parking the car and after 200 meter stalk I got within 20 feet got my shots then backed off thought this is easy! Wrong four more visits didn’t see any can’t wait until next year.
Its a great place, super happy that you found the hares, I have been there is the past, I think the numbers have been in decline, but great to see you had some tidy encounters, keep up the great work.
Thanks very much for your comment. The guide did say that the numbers are decreasing. I suspect climate change has a huge part to play in this unfortunately! Thanks again 👍🏻
Quality Dan, just pure quality from start to finish. The video the photo's the scenery and sound track, just pure quality each and every minute throughout. For Steve to be able to spot Hare's with a scope is testament to his skills, the man must know every inch of that landscape like the back of his hand and inside out. Can't wait for the Goshawk, if it turns out to be half as good as this it will still be awesome. Best to pops as always Dan, how awesome it would be for him to share and enjoy it with you.
Many thanks Dave I’m over the moon with your comment it’s really appreciated. Pops will definitely be joining me on some adventures planned for this year 👍🏻
Great video again. I live just by where the River Findhorn empty’s into the sea, never photographed a mountain hare yet, but photographed snow buntings at the beach here. Looking forward to the goshawks next at a hide I know too.
@danwillis_photography trouble is Dan, I don't take advantage of it. Should do, was photographing red squirrels last week in my local woods tho. Just bought a 300mmf2.8vr2, but envious of your 500! Really liked those Goat kids
Great video Dan, judging by your reaction just think it was one of those moments in wildlife photography that leaves you amazed with nature. Was that place known as the valley of the raptors, if so we were there last year looking for golden eagles, just a stunning place. We up in the Cairngorms again in September so defo going to check out Steve’s website and book a session. Keep up the great work.
Check out Neil McIntyre for Red Squirrels, I did the crested tits with him this time in Aviemore (video coming soon) and he definitely does Red Squirrel 👍🏻
I saw you had a harness with your binoculars on, I don’t like mine moving around especially when I’m trying to get close to red deer. What are you using?
Dan, have a look at Geoff Cooper, he has a you tube channel and has some good success with Mountain Hares in the Cairngorms - We have had some good tips from him over the years and had some decent shots off of the back of his advice/locations
Dan, I am loving this Scottish series. Great videos and photographs. I love your enthusiasm!! Keep up the good work and thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you very much Ron, I appreciate it 👍🏻
That was fun to watch. Glad you made it down safely after photographing the hares.

It’s funny, I’d love a 300 2.8. That wider aperture would definitely be a plus when photographing badgers in low light 👍🏻
Great shots
Thank you 👍🏻
Awesome mate 👏

Thanks Ian, it was the valley of the raptors and Steve does some tours based around that. If you book anything with Steve please mention the video 👍🏻
@@danwillis_photography yes of course will do. Looking to do a red squirrel workshop whilst we’re there so hoping he can help with that also. 👍

Thanks for sharing this, I have come across Geoffs channel in the past and will definitely go back and look at his Mountain Hare videos 👍🏻
What a great video buddy I’ve also have a wildlife channel and hopefully grow my channel thanks for sharing
Cheers Dave 👍🏻
