Good to hear that you feel better. I'm living this "I just want to die" period right now...no friends, no job, no money. And I've been in Norway for 4 years....I know what it is like. I'm not an expert of social media and youtube, but I think, you should not worry about the number of followers. Just keep making these high quality videos and the subscribers will come slowly but steadily. Follow your passion, it will bring the numbers. I follow quite a few wildlife photographers, but you are definitely one of my main inspirations! Happy New Year!
Hei András. Sorry to hear that you that you are in that situation lately. It’s certainly not easy. Norway is socially quite a challenge, one that I still don’t really get done so well. Nature makes me happy enough so I guess I have to live on the lower money spectrum ^^ I hope you’re getting some help? I know I definitely need mine. About the rest I’m not so sure, maybe TH-cam is a dead end road, but I will not fully give up on that part of what I’m doing yet.

It's so important for people to know it's ok to talk about it and it's ok to get help. As for your channel, I love watching all your videos. I hope to see more, but you definitely need to do what makes you happy. If doing less TH-cam is needed for that, that's understandable. Editing takes a lot of time, especially when you want a good final result. It's hard when that time means less time out in the field and especially when it's not enjoyable. It takes a strong person to show their "weaknesses" so well done.......your channel and story are great, ** just try not to be too over critical of yourself on TH-cam, things take time, there are a lot of people on TH-cam and even the biggest channels can get lost in the algorithm, it's not like you're doing anything wrong ** just keep doing what you enjoy and if you enjoy yourself it'll attract people :)

I like that idea a lot, Gunnar. I have a lidbeb friend. who also runs a yt kansl, indescribable how much work is behind it. That's exactly what keeps me from this idea and I'm glad. Yes, I think that the market is saturated, there is simply too much to support the consequences with a subscription. I think. so everyone can find the right path for themselves, all the best for 2023, Klaus
If I am focusing I get done with videos in around 3 days, but that’s a lot if you’re out every second week for some days most of the time. It adds up quite a lot with everything else going on. And yeah, it’s pretty much oversaturated. I put print out there, but as long as mostly photographers watching me, I’m not surprised that they don’t need my photos :P Cheers and all the best for 2023!

Hi Gunnar, you had some nice adventures this year! I completely understand your decision, after all it's all about photograph wildlife and not sitting behind your laptop editing videos. I can't even imagine how much time it costs to finish a video especially as your videos are always of such high quality and one of the best I should say! Just go out and organise workshop and indulge us once in a while with a video 😁. I also believe TH-cam is to blame. Although I subscribed to your channel and ring the bell I hardly see your new videos. Anyway, enjoy photography and don't let TH-cam let you down. I think many of us creators have found growing the channels this year difficult for some reason so it has to be a passion as much as anything else for now. If you ever come to Finnmark, I can recommend Varangerhalvøya.....I do think you will find a lot to photograph there. Don't hesitate to take contact, and I will tell you about the good spots in Finnmark. 🙂
