I am in Scotland to do wildlife photography and landscape photography together with Nikon and a film crew from Beyond Content. The purpose of this trip is to make some content for the Nikon Europe TH-cam channel and to try out the new Nikon Z 400mm for wildlife photography.
For the first time I am publishing a video on my channel that is not filmed and edited by myself - this video is made by the passionated and very friendly crew from Beyond Content.
In the video I am photographing with Ricci who is a Nikon School Teacher.

✦ ABOUT THIS VIDEO
I am in Scotland to meet up with Nikon and the Landrover team. We are going to photograph wildlife with some new equipment and there will be a film crew covering the 5 days.
I went to Scotland 6 days in advance to visit the Cairngorms to try my luck with the mountain hares but I did not see any.
I met up with my friend Joanna and we used her campervan as a basecamp for 3 days.
Together with her, I spent a few days in Glen Etive trying to photograph the Stags. They were very skittish though so I had to use my car as a photo blind.
After saying goodbye to Joanna I headed to another location to meet up with Ricci from Nikon School, Beyond Content and a Nikon PR representative.
Together we spent five days photographing landscapes, wildlife and trying out the new Nikon Z 400mm f/2,8.
I did some interview for the Nikon TH-cam Channel and for Nikon Scool.
✦ WHO I AM.
My name is Morten Hilmer and I am a professional nature and wildlife photographer.
I am a Nikon Ambassador and I work as an ILCP photographer.
Nature conservation is very close to my heart.
I have served in the Danish military special unit, the Sirius Patrol, for two years and that has given me the skills and confidence to operate alone in the arctic regions.

A fresh breath to your channel but I kind of like more the videos where you film everything yourself (I know it's a lot of work). However, I wouldn't mind more collaborations like this. Thanks for sharing!
What a wonderful video, yet again. I am not going to lie, I kinda prefer your editing style, but I totally recognise that this video is not for just this channel and that is just a personal choice! There is just a bit much slo-mo for me :-) That said, I can only imagine how nice it is to hand the editing duties over! None of this got in the way of my love for this video though so, again, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for your work!
Cool video, but I definitely prefer your usual style, I just found this too ‘hip and trendy’ (not unique in other words), the slo-mo was way too cheesy! I much prefer the ruggedness and uniqueness of your own videos, after all it’s you and your own style that has engaged so much with others and its for that reason that so many of us tune in.

When I was young living in Hawaii; living as a bum surfer our mantra was; check your stick(surfboard); before talking to chicks. This was the mantra because once your attention was diverted; your surfboard would float away.
A car commercial really, but with my two favorite photographers, so that's okay. Love these guys. I hope they got paid well, and enjoyed those scallops.
I’m not only a bird photographer I’m also a certified Mac technician. Letting the water getting out of your device was right. But never set it near a heating source. Maybe the water dries out. But when it does you have condensation getting more elements wet in your MacBook. You didn’t use rice that’s good. Because the dust can cause problems. So in this situations. Shut device of via the ON button. Let the water get out. Bring it to a Apple Service Provider. Hope you’ll alway have backups of your system 😊

I left Nikon just after the D4 to move to Fujifilm. I never looked back..... but boy. The Z9 blows me away. What a monster. I love it. And I love in your hands. Awesome vid

The new cameras and lenses being released for the Z systems are phenomenal, and your expertise sharing is good for all of us! Morton, I hope you can recover your laptop and portable drives. Important (and expensive) tools for field work.
You're my most favourite wildlife photographer ever! The most miserable weather ever, dead computer, all the shit in this world and you just enjoy it, drink your coffee and be there with the nature will all the respect to the wildlife. Wish more people were like you, just positive and easygoing. And of course, creating great images meanwhile :)
