Saw a thumbnail of this video and the title caught my eye so i clicked (great job at that) and you drew me in within the first minute. You claim serious accolades at 2/5 so now im curious to hear your thought process on the felt. Your reasoning for folding in key hands, most notably the 4,7s spot, really illustrated your calcuated thinking and i instantly concluded that you being a winning player, like you claim you are, to be believable, so now im locked in.
Ive recently gotten back into poker at the 1/2 tables and have taken a more serious approach. I tell myself to play as if this was my sole income and how i provide for myself. When youre in that head space, folding in spots that just arent worth it keep my stack viable. Allowing me to look for better opportunities in later hands. You so eloquently demonstrated that in simple, easy to digest language in this video - not to mention with some added humor - which i appreciate, as your intention is to educate AND entertain as you previously stated - which didnt go unnoticed.
Im subscribed and am going to go down this journey with you as you traverse new territory on youtube.
Cant wait for your next video and thank you again for giving us insight into your poker mind

Thank you so very much for the well thought out comment and compliments! It's harsh coming across the non-believers and trolls who think I'm either super lucky or simply making footage up, so it's comments like these that really lift our spirits and give us motivation to continue the channel.

@@AeroPlaysPoker Unfortunately you open yourself up to haters and trolls when you decide to create content and upload it to the internet. It sucks that it comes with the territory. That being said, consider this...
I'm currently reading Alexander Fitzgerald's "Exploitative Play in Live Poker" and he argues that 95% of poker players lose. Although he may be pulling that number out his ass, I do agree that there are more consistent losers than there are consistent winners in poker. He goes on to say if 95% of poker players are losers the just remember when you're being critizied by one of them, it's criticism from a loser. If you would reject a losers advice on how to play a hand, then you should equally reject their criticism because feedback from a loser ain't really worth much.
I know it's possible because I'm on a 5-0 win rate myself. So it's not so far fetched that a player of your caliber can be on the streak you're on. And I too am met with skepticism when I tell my peers of my small accomplishments. Haters gon hate.
Anyways, keep doing what you're doing. I'm learning so much in just the 3 videos you've uploaded and can't wait for the next one to drop!

Great stuff. Really enjoyed this, much to my surprise. I agree about the Wynn room, their staff is the best and there's room to move around. It's a shame the regs like to abandon the table for an hour at a time but honestly that's the case everywhere. I agree with your AJo fold, and also with the dangers of playing AJo oop to begin with. For me, it's a fold UTG and +1. Too risky in early position, would much rather have 87s or 66 in that spot.

My biggest downswing is roughly 14k over about 2 months or so? But this is a suuuuper rare occurrence. Playing bad coupled with running bad which lead to playing worse.

78s is just a fold pre in UTG in a 9 handed game, its just a losing raising in the long run. The exact runout shows exactly why. You made one of the best hands possible (flush), and were not happy to call a river bet.
For what its worth, you should just be bet-folding that river. Its disastrous if the next to act player checks back Ax there, when it will likely call a bet. You can just bet 1/2ish pot and fold to a raise, that is never a bluff.

allow me to correct an important detail before you continue in your poker endeavors - the hand at 1:40 is Pocket Jacks - more specifically the hand you hold is the One-eyed Jacks: not to be confused with the Two-eyed Jacks or the Black Jacks or Red Jacks - you and i are in the same age range and, as such, must show a level of precise understanding when describing a hand - for myself, i have been around the game for neatly 25 years, and am not shy about sharing my card-playing acumen and sophistication - cheers for Northern California (the state which still is indeed, as you know, the global capital of poker)

I recommend investing in some audio editing equipment and software. The uneven audio is distracting, and lowers overall production value quite a bit.
That being said, Rock On; Good Luck.

Can you indicate effective stack sizes and positions? In the 74s hand, that context would be very helpful. If villain's stack is as large as yours, calling might be fine on the turn.
AJ #1: Why did you check the turn after the flop checked through? I think you would have much more likely gotten some value on the turn than on the river....
AJ #2: Folding top pair top kicker on the flop? Well there's one reason not to donk bet. Villain can have 65s, KJ/QJ/JT. I'd have checked and considered x-raising.

    • @AeroPlaysPoker
      @AeroPlaysPoker  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

My stack will always be at least 1500, + whatever I'm currently up. I will usually state how deep my opponent's stack is of it's relevant. Positions are always stated. In the 4-7 hand, I stated my advice on why folding is much better.
With AJ when the A hit the turn, I would only bet there in late position, not first to act. OG raiser has a lot more AQ or AK there or will often times pretend to rep such a hand and bet with air if you give them some rope. For the last AJ hand, you will find out in the 2nd video if my play was good or not!
