    Wonderful and very useful.Though the precast are very heavy.If I'd need 150pcs,and I'm building like 300kms away,transport cost would be a hindrance coz I'd need maybe 3 trailers or so making them prohibitive on cost.My analysis.But great info,keep us posted.I like.

      Yeah Brian, thanks for highlighting transport costs as a factor because it's definitely something you should consider when building your home.

    The North American building trades have seen a couple of massive price shocks with wood since the covid disruption. Concrete has been relatively unaffected. You present an interesting alternative.

      Good to know Paul. Wood isn't a popular building material in Kenya because of the availability of stone and concrete.

    Super helpful. Would have been great to have an actual demo on site as well w the two to show the more qualitative aspects... aesthetics, fit and finish, acoustics, practicality, etc.. but very useful. Thumbs up. I think integrated storage plays a big part in freeing up space within a floor plan and I noted the was that the EPS was being used to create as storage unit at 6:59 ..the flexibillity in panel thickness and the set up for creative use is another plus.

      Thanks Moses. I'm trying to find EPS and Precast wall projects but they're rare to find. There's also the issue of privacy of the owner. All in all, if I find active projects, I'll showcase them on the channel.

    What about The Strength Of Eps vs precast wall
    Which one is more stronger...after plaster??
    And Also Eps Panels Performance in Wind Strom....

    • @PropertyNoma
      @PropertyNoma  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can customize the strength of EPS panels onsite by choosing the strength of concrete you want. With precast, they're premade at the factory so you'll have to inform the company the strength you want beforehand.

    Good day sir, thanks for this video. Is it possible to use these materials to construct 2 floors, one on top of the other?
    I it is possible, which method can be utilised?

    • @PropertyNoma
      @PropertyNoma  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it's possible. You can use the floor EPS panel to make slabs. For support, beams and columns are needed to support the upper floor. In some cases EPS panels can also be used for load bearing purposes.

      Hi Kevin, I don't think so. They have grooves that make them interlock to each other. They may need mortar to be connected to beams and columns.

    How do precast stand up to earthquakes and sound transmission?

    • @PropertyNoma
      @PropertyNoma  ปีที่แล้ว

      1. Precast concrete panels can be designed and manufactured with reinforcing steel bars (rebar) to distribute and absorb seismic forces.
      2. Special features can be added to precast concrete panels to enhance their seismic resistance, such as thicker walls, additional reinforcing bars, and larger sizes.
