      I recall at 18 accidentally destroying an original contract. I replaced the contract with a fresh copy & approached my boss with great shame. I presented the destroyed one & the replacement. He called the Chairman who agreed to re-sign another contract.
      I walked into his office, very ashamed & he shook my hand & slapped me on the back to thank me for being a man by taking ownership of my actions but rectifying the situation. A week later I met him by accident & asked how I was feeling. "Today's Mistakes Are Tomorrow's Experience" was his reply which I as a manager hold onto in my life.

    I know one very successful person would say "I don't have time" as his weapon of turning down an unproductive invitation like nonsense partying and socializing with toxic people. Most truly successful people I know in business would never say "I'm distracted" because no matter what kind of project or undertaking they're working at, they always have a fixed mindset of focusing to reach their goal and they're always ready to hit bullseye. 🎯

    I work in manufacturing. On successful productive days, I have planned and worked out all the small things on my press, so when I begin to produce, I can accomplish my goals. And speeding up the press doesn't always equal higher production, the hare and the tortoise. Keeping the press continually running, and working at my own pace usually makes the most productive day. Plan ahead, and remember the things that will slow you down during the day, when you have all your pieces in order, then you'll be happy about your numbers, and so will your boss.

    *Hmm, I don't know if this list is always the most accurate. I know several successful people and when they are being really honest, they admit to feelings of overwhelm and discouragement at times. Even optimists have down days. Success is messy no matter how neat we are. I'm optimistic about my TH-cam channel but not every day is my attitude upbeat. Your thoughts?*

    • @Malte.Research
      @Malte.Research 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Esabelle Yes, the higher the discomfort that is needed to drive action, the higher the physical stress. Definitely this video has some good points, but summed up they create a false illusion of success. It‘s a though road and everyone who walks it knows it. I think the most important question is how you define success and this video mainly focuses on a definition that leads to burn out or disappointment at some point since it doesn’t advice for example gratitude and defining success on your own as the most important things but rather advices to push forward and forward (with a heavy focus on work related stuff). So yes, it’s definitely a bit more complex than described here:D

    • @Esabelle
      @Esabelle 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Malte.Research Exactly. I think it's more about what we choose to do with our discouragement and down points than it is never having them in the first place.

    • @xyaeiounn
      @xyaeiounn 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've met "successful" people who've never accepted their limits, rushed at everything and are horribly demanding. Then they have a stroke and justify their attitude with "getting a lot done". This is a trash video.

    • @monicalevyt
      @monicalevyt 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@xyaeiounn yeah. Those characteristics don't define REAL successful people. Success isn't about money. Is about loving and accepting yourself and being happy within.

    • @xyaeiounn
      @xyaeiounn 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@monicalevyt That sounds like complacency though. In our system people are motivated by scarcity, need for status and feelings of inadequacy. Consumerism and the rat race wouldn't work if that weren't true.

    “If you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree it will spend its whole like believing it’s a failure.” -C.S. Lewis. I completely disagree with this video. First of all, never say never. Even successful people have bad days. Second of all, “unsuccessful” people are overwhelmed and stress because too many demands are being put on them. They haven’t leaned how to say “no” because no one has taught them and because they have empathy. Many users see this and instead of helping them, take advantage of them. This video actually makes me really mad. 😡 Also, I don’t know why it says that unsuccessful people are entitled. It seems like it’s the opposite. I think we are just doing the best we can.

    Is the judgement many feel needed, Like the judgement which can stall or stop people from progressing, Is that judgement needed!? even though it can stop some and create doubt! It can feel like the judgements are what keep many down ! Just like how they say pride is not good..It's partly because pride can also go both ways..People will not move forward because they feel no pride, They don't take the first step because they've got no pride! So just don't worry about pride! While some are nothing but boisterous, ego driven & kind of rude because their pride is so high, So pride needs to be somewhat quiet and be humbled!

    yeah, successful people don't complain and just do. Say what? What a crock of shit. I suspect whoever put this together does not run in the circles of the financially successful. Trust me, they complain as much as anyone else--and they are rarely the _doers_ of their productions. If the intent here is to put people on the path of wealth, then promoting a strong work ethic is not key. What is key is acquiring ownership and working one's way into the inner network of finances. Working harder is not a path to wealth. It's just not. You must be connected with those who own.
    What a childishly naive viewpoint the video projects.
