Wayne, managed to find the correct setting to avoid curvature of walls and ceilings etc. can’t remember now which it was but I took a still on each setting. Just back from a dive holiday in Cyprus, and the SF530 performed absolutely superb under and over water. Videos under the water were crisp and vibrant and quality was excellent, but like every camera, the more light you have the better results you get. Your instructional video review helped me all the way through. Thanks again matey.
Can’t seem to edit my previous post! Quick question - I’ve just taken some still shots in the house, and they have that curved look - what is a straight ceiling bean looks curved, and a door frame on the left looks curved. Any thoughts or is this normal?
Yes, that curved look is due to the wide angle lens. Some of these action cameras have a feature called 'distortion correction' which minimizes that curved look ...unfortunately the Surfola SF530 does NOT have that function.
I am going to ask a similar thing, which lower cost (non-DJI, non-GoPro, non-Insta) camera has the best EIS you have tested? I am a mountain biker, so you can see that is important. AND OR have to see one that produces as Gyro data file that I can import into GyroFlow to stabilize? Thanks!
I am currently testing a XTU S6 action camera. It sells for about $130 USD, and it has multiple levels of stabilization … Normal, Super and Gyro Data that can be imported into GyroFlow.
You've reviewed a lot of action cameras and I've enjoyed your content. Gonna put you on the spot here. In Your opinion what's The best overall action camera new or old under 100 bucks. Best overall bang for your buck? Appreciate your time.
Currently, my favourite pick for an action camera under $100 would have to be the SURFOLA SF530. The video performance is very good ( not as crisp as a GoPro, but quite useable ) The dual view screens are great for framing yourself in the shot, but most important, I was really impressed with the audio quality on this camera, because most of these low priced action cameras record horrible sound.
@@Gr8tLakesHuntnFish with the underwater housing this camera would be great to use in a boat or underwater on a fishing trip. From a blind at 20 meters, not so good, because with the wide-angle lens any ducks or waterfoul would just be a tiny spec in the frame.

Wow, a dive holiday in Cyprus...sounds amazing! I'm glad my review video was helpful. Thanks for tuning in.
Very useful video, thanks. Appreciated
Absolutely brilliant video mate, thank you, and certainly helped me set up my 530.
Thank you.

@@ExploreVideo-cr3eh Cool...but only 4K 30fps :(

@@ExploreVideo-cr3eh Although I am not the person who asked you for advice, thank you! I ordered it for myself! :D
@@ExploreVideo-cr3eh how do you think it would do stationary for fishing or from a blind at about 20 yards?

@ExploreVideo-cr3eh Thanks much. Does it work good on your kayak?
On your other video you said it’s upscaled but the images look better
