My brother actually cooked a potato like that. He put it in the microwave WITH TINFOIL WRAPPED AROUND IT. The microwave caught fire and all he did was open the front door and windows.
Nothing else.
When Dad and i got home we had to throw away the microwave and dispose of the burning potato. This was the first microwave he killed, but not his last.
He isnt trusted in the kitchen very often, now.
I think i still have pictures.
When I was younger I set 1 microwave 1 fire and 1 almost.
1 time I wanted lunch and we had some kind of buns with meat. Now, I read it needed like 10 minutes in a preheated oven, so my dumb ass thought well a microwave doesn't need to be preheated so I'll put it in there for 10 mins... It was on fire and my mom put it outside to burn out, that thing was done...
Now the other story, me and my friend wanted Easter eggs and not "regular chocolate" so we made Easter egg shapes from tinfoil and went to melt chocolate on the microwave with them, well you know where it goes from there...
I remember when I was like 3 and my brother was 8 he tried to microwave popcorn.
Let's just say I remember vividly when he opened the microwave door and tons of smoke came billowing out…
i made my microwave explode like a week ago

10:16 Regardless of how it was advertised, it is still illegal in Sweden to deny someone a good or service based on a quality they cannot control like race, ethnicity, sex or gender. Making exceptions for this law could set a dangerous precedent that it is okay to discriminate against certain groups so long as it is culturally accepted. So yes, they did commit a crime, and they did need to be treated as such

Despite the country being Sweden discrimination based on sex is barred

Well, there's nothing wrong with options. Some women will prefer men-free music festivals, some men will prefer woman-free ones, and some people will prefer integrated ones.
The existence of man-free music festivals doesn't prevent men from attending integrated ones. And shutting down certain music festivals, reducing options, helps no-one.
Discrimination laws are stupid.
@@me-myself-i787 I'm sorry, but anti-discrimination laws play a key part in creating a more inclusive society. Without them, you would still be finding "whites only" signs all over the southern USA. I'm so conflicted on the 'men free' festival.
Personally, I think people should be able to run whatever kind of event they want and choose who can or can't participate based on any criteria.
At the same time, you know those same people would lose their damn minds if a 'women free' festival was thrown.
Of course, because extremists are hypocrites. They only want to be treated as equals when it benefits them, and then given preferential treatment when it doesn't.
It shouldn’t ever be legal to discriminate based on sex, race, religion, or anything like that. It sets a VERY dangerous precedent for what can be allowed
A gay bar will still serve a straight person, even though it's specifically a safe and open space for gay people. The important part is that the straight person respects the fact that they are occupying a gay space. Same standards should apply to a women's music festival.
If I have to change the group which is discriminated for you to notice that it's wrong. You're the problem.
Imagine a Concert which advertises itself as no POC allowed
It's all about phrasing.
I have seen tons of women-only gatherings. That is acceptable since it is not discriminatory against anyone, however a "man-free" festival is definitely discriminatory against men.
Woman free music festival, (insert race here) free music festival, elderly free music festival, trans free music festival. Just replace the word man and the descrimination isnt in question.
I understand the importance of having a space for people you identify with, but a gay bar will still serve a straight person, or a bi person, or whoever. So long as you respect the people who the space is there for and your mere presence isnt in some way disruptive to the function (like having a kid in a nightclub) then yeah, anyone should be welcome at an event.

Restricting your diet and ensuring you don't miss what you need can be tricky, but it's generally doable if you really want to, but restricting it down to a single item is going to be the death of you, simple as that.
unfortunately for her, neither of those things are a tropical fruit - going on a plants only diet (beyond veganism, not even things like bread) is possible if managed correctly, although probably not optimal without taking supplements etc, but only eating fruit let alone only a tiny subsection of fruits isn't sustainable.

Other than that it was a great video and Damien is a fantastic narrator

gotta respect the grind but morally? not really
I assume because he thought the festival should qualify for a legal exception due to it being for only women being part of its core function - like if half a swimming pool's male cleaners quit within a month, it's generally accepted that it should be legal for the pool to try to hire specifically male cleaners so they have enough staff to keep the men's change rooms clean. or that it should be legal for a company that builds and installs staircases to refuse to hire a full time wheelchair user as an installer.
I feel like there is definitely a way to run a music festival just for women that does not allow men to fit into that kind of reasonable legal exception. but there's also probably ways to run it that don't, and I suppose they missed the mark. or maybe such legal exceptions don't exist there.
personally I would rather go to a music festival with a high ratio of security and attendee support/management personnel to attendees than to go to a women-only festival that still had too many opportunities for predators and assholes to do bad stuff and not get caught or face serious consequences. I'd rather be at a festival for feminists that included male feminists than an all-female festival that ultra-conservative/traditional women were welcomed. but I also haven't been groped, assaulted, raped etc by men or discriminated against for my gender in a serious way - I'm probably not the target audience for this kind of event. there probably are a lot of women out there who have had many awful things done to them by men and could never actually feel safe and enjoy themselves at an-all genders festival because of their past experiences and trauma.

If you reverse it, it's still the same concept - barring injury for someone based on their sex and gender, the things that are Beyond someone's control. It's not a changing room, it's a concert. It's discrimination.
If this seems silly to you, then it must be equally silly for women to be discriminated against by being barred from participating in events based on the fact that they are women.
Replying for the algorithm
I agree that it’s silly, but I think the point was that there’s high levels of sexual assault at music festivals. Yes, men experience sexual assault too (usually by other men, statistically). I personally wouldn’t be offended by a “male only” event. Its a one off thing, I think it’s different from systemic discrimination. But yes I agree it’s kind of silly, but I understand the reasoning behind it.
@@julibeanbag discrimination is still discrimination whether it is systemic or not. The issue of sexual assault is prevalent throughout Society but it is not so simple as just Banning someone because of factors beyond their control. Things like heightened security and campaigns to watch out for these things helps lower the instances of sexual assault along with a police presence. But this was not advertised as a way for women to be safe, nor is it likely that safety was ever on the mind. Like that restaurant that would charge men more for a meal then they would women, it's just discrimination.
From my community, there is a huge problem where black people are very racist towards asians, Hispanics and white people but refused to acknowledge their racism because it's not systemic racism. "It's called prejudice, not racism" which 1. Is extremely gross to acknowledge that you are prejudiced against someone for factors beyond their control and you are just fine with it, and 2. Prejudice _based on race or ethnicity _*_IS_*_ racism!_
The same with sexism. Just because it's not systemic, does not make it not what it is.
@@AmazingAutist I said I agree, I just think that was the idea behind it
@@julibeanbag If I recall correctly most people pretty much said: I get it, and women should absolutely feel safe during a music festival.
It's just that their attempt at solving the problem wound up being a crime. But it wasn't much of a backlash situation, it was simply deemed to be illegal to try to solve the issue in that way.
I mean, if people don't feel safe at a festival then that's a result of not enough security and not taking concerns seriously. They also could have had nearly the exact same result by simply putting up some rules of conduct that forbids touching, asking for numbers, and similar. Then just throw out the people who were creating a disturbance. Most who attended would be either women or allies in that case, with a heavy emphasis of female presenting people.
