I did the DIY with the crayons before I saw this video and it came out so great. I took a much bigger canvas and even more crayons and covered a part of the canvas with sticky tape, which had the shape of the skyline of my hometown. Then I melted the crayons and glued some black cardboard in form of the skyline over the blank space. It was my first try and it's looking so amazing. It's such an easy DIY and great as a gift. I can only suggest it to everybody who likes to be creative and even to amateurs. :) Sry for my bad english. I'm from Germany :D

I've seen the photo canvas done on wood. If you used the mod podge with wood you may have gotten a desirable result. I've never seen it done on a canvas though, but I love the how it came out. Great idea, I would of went straight for wood if I were to do it since I've seen it done with wood many times.
to get crayon out of fabric, lay brown paper over it and iron it. that will get the wax off but not the pigment, so just use any general stain remover for that

i do crayon art in a group every Monday. if crayon gets on your clothes then put the DRY item in the freezer overnight then take it out and put straight into the wash as normal. it should come out

The way u get wax out of t shirts is to freeze it for 24hours and then get a dinner knife and scrape the knife along the wax part it may take time but it does work
Try vinegar, cold water and soap! Let your shirt soak for a few hours and use your fingers and scrub where the crayon is. It's worked for me with stains :) it may work
I love crayon art but when you use a powerful blow dryer (if you don't have a heater thingy ma-jig😂) be careful because if you don't watch out the melted crayon art MIGHT blow on your legs or arms and burn the crap out of you or will go everywhere in the room as well... Just a little tid bit to help some people out:) I went thru lots of hot pain and days of melted crayon stuck on my skin👍🏼👌🏼

I made the crayon one a few years ago and mine turned out great and it was making me upset how yours wasn't working
With the crayons I actually did this at an event and we had something like a cardboard box that we put the canvases in when we heated the crayons.
