Lord Shiva is considered the Adi Yogi that is the father and founder of Yoga. He is the foremost among the yogis and the first teacher of the science of Yoga. ... He taught Parvati 84 Asanas of Yoga which belong to the Vedic parampara.

And in this world of yoga, where does "srisri yoga" and "happiness programs" come? Is there any scriptural backing for such modern techniques?

Lilly Anna - Yes. If you feel free and happy and centred. If you are not uptight or worried about anything. If your focus is right, you can experiment with new postures that are more right for you and what you are now reaching for. Stay in touch with the infinite and the eternal.

Not so sure about babies as yogis. How much time has Shankarji actually spent around babies and toddlers? They tend to be impulsive and devoid of emotional control. Not very yogic.
