- This could be not just one of the greatest mountain roads to drive in the Philippines... but in the WORLD! Wow! Driving along the mountain sides in Kalinga is beyond breathtaking, and at times very intimidating!
In this video you will see JunJun and I driving my scooter from Bontoc through the mountains of Kalinga to Tabuk City. We met some friendly Filipinos along the way and had some beautiful moments! Kalinga Coffee is SOOOO GOOD!

Yes he really deserve more than a million followers, so what’s is wrong with our kababayan? Here’s my take. We are all entitled to our own opinion. Other vloggers or bloggers use or abuse the Filipino’s love for seeing drama or nonsense entertainment which doesn’t require much intelligence but can amuse or delight them because they sense a feeling of being in that situation. Also there is our love in seeing half breeds doing something personally showcasing their lives, for what purpose mainly it’s the “chizmiz” mentality, they don’t care much about seeing the isolated and undiscovered places in our country without much fanfare. There are few of us who appreciates that for sure but not the majority. KULAS will get there slowly but surely, he’s got he’s own following and if each of his following invites 1 follower, easily his follower doubles. And TH-cam doesn’t pay you on the number of followers but for the ads that people watch when you’re watching his video, all said and done better watch ads for KULAS so he can continue doing his thing. Just saying.😎

Kalinga coffee is awesome kulas. When I had a tattoo done by wang od two years ago, the locals just gave us unlimited coffee the whole time we were there. I bought some to bring home and I drank it all within a week. It was really nice because we went there in december so it was really cold. I'm a tagalog. I'm not built for 12c-15c weather.

I'm not sure if this was the one featured in that documentary series about the World's Most Dangeroues Roads. It was not concrete then, just pure off roading.

It's nice to see they have proper paved highway In Kalinga now. Some years back, I asked around in Tuguegarao how to get to Bontoc via Kalinga. What I learned then it would take something like 14 hours, over rough unpaved mountain roads, and NPAs. Your vlog shows the things have changed for the better. The highway in Kalinga reminds me of Halsema Highway going the opposite direction Bontoc to Baguio. This is an amazing trip and video.

Awesome drone shots Kulas, it was really epic to see the view from the skies. I often travel this roads before,from Baguio City going to Balbalan Kalinga. I'm proud that youve experienced the awesome mountain ride and got to see and share this to the world. Yes the Philippines is proud of having incredible beaches but is also home to scenic mountain sceneries.
Next time that you come back, you can take this route.
From Pangasinan take Kennon rd. going to Baguio. Baguio to Bontoc via Halsema Highway. Bontoc to Abra via Balbalan,Kalinga (3-4 km from the Lubuagan Town Hall where you had your gas and coffee is the exit going to Abra-Kalinga rd. You passed by it when you were going to Tabuk.) and from Abra exit to Ilocos Sur.
This would be 2-3 days of expectacular mountain view experience and you can end up in a nice beach in Ilocos sur.👍👍👍
