All thru his career I’m still amazed how he could remember all those one liners. I never heard him mess up a line. He was a true professional.

The dramatic pauses improve his focus I feel. Car jokes were funny I admit.

He had some good guests. On one show he had 3 year old Tiger Woods, Jimmy Stewart and Bob Hope on the same show. Also John Lennon and Yoko appeared on the show.

One of the most diverse variety shows ever. Diverse in every way - not just the obvious. The daily guest roster ran the gamut. You had to be a student to even be aware of a variety show that comes on weekday afternoons with guests that ran the gamut, as did Mike Douglas. Syndicated local daily strip from Philly. And Mike was a cool host who was comfortable with everyone.

For laughs, yes, he was the greatest stand-up. For intelligent, hard-hitting social and philosophical material, the greatest ever was George Carlin. Take a look at him if you don't believe me.

No, he actually was saying that he got at least some respect when he said "I don't get no respect", because of the double negative.

I still get to watch Craig Ferguson .sometimes..he’s still around. Great comedian also. Wish he was still on late night. Maybe take Jimmy Fallon’s place or something. Ferguson was better than anybody that was home at the time. And I’m not the only one that feels that way. CBS screwed up. Like the morons they are. Oh well Their loss.
