We hope you enjoy our MacBook Complete Beginners Guide! By the end of this video you should have everything you need to setup and use your MacBook like an expert!
I am a new user of MacBook. Have been using a PC for over 26 yrs. This video has been extremely helpful. Thank you so much for making this Beginners Guide.
I’ve used windows my whole life. However, I just got the MBP to compliment the rest of my Apple products (Apple Watch, AirPods Pro, 13 pro max etc). A few days after getting the MacBook, and I’m so lost and confused lol I’ll get there, though.
Yes. I know the feeling. Apple do it so easy it become hard when you switch from a PC to an Apple. I overthinked things. Once I got hang of it I realize I will never go back to PC!😋😁
Amazing work man, this video is highly helpful in my transition from windows OS to Mac OS. You have really helped in widening my scope of knowledge about Mac OS.
I am new to the macbook 💻 i cant wait to get home and do this thank you so much for your help great video this will help me a lot i just got my MacBook yesterday and i was upset with it very different from PC but i will get it someday thanks again for this video
I just got a 2022 macbook m2 air base; and this is my first laptop which is why im watching this....but most of what your showing never popped up on mine; some of it did but most of the stuff didnt...did they remove features? And can u not get youtube through the appstore like on iphone:/?
Please could we ha e a tutorial on the Apple keyboard? Mine does not seem to have a command key as such. it is a 2007 Macbook 2.1 I believe. VDRY useful and informative film....tba is 😃
Yeah I highly doubt anyone is going to be making a guide for a 16 year old laptop. All Mac computers have the Command key. The Command key (⌘) is next to either side of the space bar.
You don't. You can't restore a backup from an iPad to a Mac. If you use iCloud on both devices, you can share some settings and any files that are stored in the cloud though.
I'm brand new at using a MacBook. This was helpful but an animated keyboard showing the buttons you say to press with highlight would be useful. When you said "tab" I heard "tap". You didn't say how to bring up the volume control so I pressed shift and option repeatedly to bring it up, which of course didn't work even once. But still, after replaying the parts I didn't understand repeatedly I did finally succeed with everything, if I remember right.
No offense but this is hardly a beginners guide. This is more of a "Hints and tips". As a new (COMPLETELY unfamiliar) Mac user, I don't need shortcuts. I need to know very basics, like opening and closing apps (and when did "programs" become "apps", anyway?) I admit I have zero knowledge, here, but isn't that was "beginner" means?
Thank you very much for this tips video. The scroll bar tip was the most beneficial one to me so far. Had a hard time in some applications trying to scroll down the page as the scroll bar would not appear. This tip should alleviate this issue. Now if I can find a way to open pages or screens in full size.
Open Disk Utility, select the drive you want to partition, choose "Partition" and adjust the size for your partitions as you wish and select a file system.
Husband and I are PC user but wanted to be able to combine our electronics like our I phones. I feel very lost and appreciated this video very much. Thank you making it user friendly for dummies like us. What Video would you recommend as step 2
If you mean username, then yes. You have to create a user account in order to use your PC. if you mean Apple ID, then no. Its not required, but some aspects of the Mac system will be unavailable like the App Store, iMessage, iCloud, FaceTime and other services that require an Apple ID.
Really awesome tutorial man I’m subscribing to see more. I have a question can I have 2 profiles with different Apple ID accounts and can I change the theme of the Mac? Thank you.
I tried the command tab suggestion, and it did bring up what was open, and I toggled through them, but once I selected the open application, it did not take me to it, instead it remained on the safari video tutorial.
Question: Trying to remove things from the dock and some won't let me remove them. maps - notes - music - etc. the choices are to leave it in dock - remove from dock isn't a choice. If you can help me I would appreciate it very much.
I clicked and held the pointer on the app I wanted to remove to get the pop-up menu, then clicked on quit to quit the app, then went to options to remove the app from the dock.

I don’t think I’m an expert now, but that helped!
How do you get to the very first screen .... the one you started the video on?

So, nice Video, but I don’t agree with the Software-Update, because in my opinion it isn’t good to Update to Big Sur (or Bug Sur)...
It has definitely had issues, but after a few minor updates to it, it seems pretty stable.
Do you have to enter an account name? How does the mac use it? Thanks
