I think one of the problems is that the click bait tells you you're going to be hearing an Agatha Christie story you've never heard before, and then you find out it's not Agatha Christie. That's just plain dishonest. The story should stand on its own as one to listen to.

This story is one of a volume of twelve new stories written as an homage to Agatha Christie similar to the new Sherlock Holmes stories recently appearing as the copyrights expire. She, as an author in her own right, was invited to write a story featuring Miss Marple in a collection of 12 Miss Marple stories, each by a different author. Delightful idea I thought. In my opinion Ms Foley captured perfectly the pettiness so often portrayed by Agatha Christie. (The collection was approved and announced so not a surprise to any Christie family representative.)

Not bad, but no Christie. The plot was good, but over explained. Miss M should not be leading the police by the nose; nor would she put herself in obvious danger without a back-up plan.

I feel you have to say indicate in the title that it's not Ms Marple but Agatha Christie. If it said 'inspired by' in the title or written boldly across the pic, I might have listened. I am very happy for new adventures for her. But as it is, this isnt what the title says. .

When you read her stories back to back you see how often she used the same plot twist in multiple stories and released them as if they were “completely new and original.” Stop putting artists on a pedestal.
