Don’t know why they didn’t just make a pro controller version with a built in chat pad. Or one with the grip caps attached to a mini keyboard, and a through port that connects to the pro controllers charging port.

Good question! It does sound similar to what is done for other consoles, for which they have done it already. I guess it has to do with a) the form factor of the Switch controllers, which is quite different from PS and Xbox, making it harder to connect such a keyboard; and b) the fact that especially at the time of recording, Joycons were THE thing, so any accessory which interacts with those is a unique selling point in that regard. What'd you think?

So this keyboard only works if ur plugged into the TV right ? Not if u have the small screen on a holder and the joy cons in the comfort grip controller.

Hey, it also works in handheld or when put into a small holder, the only thing will be that you will need to plug it into the USB-C port at the bottom of the Switch, by using a small USB 2-3 converter.

Just recently bought the product but I can't get it to sync to the receiver plugged into the switch.

I can sometimes get it to work, but you have to cast the following spell to get it to pair: unplug it (adapter), replug it, turn it on, hold down pair button, wait till it stops flashing and goes out, then press the goddamn CAP LOCK button for some reason. Voila

This worked! Thank you!! I was getting confused cater after turning it on, and pressing sync button it never flashed.

Hi there! Did you ensure the keyboard is charged? The Switch can only connect up to a maximum amount of connections, please check that you haven't maxed that out yet.
If nothing, try connecting though the USB C port in handheld mode if the dock USB port won't work.
