Theory time my guess is that Oliver and Bam planned the whole thing basically get the OP talking to Oliver and doing the hugs while Bam just so happened to be in the right place at the right time to snap the pics.
The idea being Oliver may have really though Jennifer was cheating and basically did this to basically make her jealous and hold more tightly on Oliver thus making it so she doesnt leave. As for Bam im guessing his goal was to be that shoulder OP could cry on and soon become a couple but since OP basically shut down Bam simply gave up. OP was simply a sacrificial lamb for dunb relationship plot.

Hey OP. Every point of the story had others reaching out to you. Your reaction to most of them was to retreat away. You seem to still be worrying about this drama in 2.0. I think you're being empathetic and thoughtful and I don't think you're part of the problem. Actions you took might've made things worse, but you didn't fan the flames at all, just got swept up in drama of others.
I hope your anxiety has gotten better or gets better, and that you can let this series of events go.

being describe as being the bad one when you never intended to even have such a situation at first is very sad, defenitely not guilty, you can't do anything to those situation since the people involve "usually" don't really want to get reason or a way to fix this, they just want drama

You are missing out. Not everyone is like that. The thing is with these stories there are huge red flags and because the OP is plays with FFXIV degenerates, and it goes on for months. Be normal and leave whenever you see the red flags.

It's crazy to me how involved people get into dating people on FFXIV. It's kind of cringe, but I do enjoy listening to these stories, lol. The fact that the OP didn't explain to Jennifer that she was just listening to Oliver talk about her is insane to me.. I feel like she wanted the drama.

They were all friends, but why are you going out of your way to hug and talk to another girl's boyfriend? Maybe, lesson learned: Don't emote anything physical, or hang out 1 on 1 with someone in a relationship? Is that too harsh? I just think that respects space and allows people not to question your motives.

Communication is key. I know anxiety can make having difficult conversations even harder, but at some point you gotta learn that social skill and deal with difficult conversations.
I honestly agree, I did not mention our age, I am 30 now and this was 10-11 years ago or so, as far as age, we were about 18 to 20's, I am not making any excuses I made the mistake of even involving myself with someone els relationship, I ofc learned my lesson to ever be involved or help anything relationship wise. I appreciate all the criticism comments I see in response to my story. as far as those who take the time to give their thoughts. its giving me a life wake up boost. I will always live by "communication is the key and before I submitted this I was slowly working on myself. thank you for giving the time to give a real response, it isnt harsh I take it as a wake up call to help me and my life.

while i think OP is just innocent party being dragged by shitstorm around them, they just shut down and ran is what makes it worse. granted, anxiety sucks, and if i was in their shoes, id nope the F out of there too. however, i wouldnt fret over it like OP did. Yea no it was the T13 weapon, wasnt glowy and UCOB wasnt a thing, the editor made it seem in my eyes it was a grand prize that shined my interest. Just want to clarify I gave my story and pathras wonderful editors edit abit into much better story telling way.

ah yea...I am sorry, parts were not mentioned about that minion. Jennifer knew Archie gave me that minion, she asked me to bring it out and did a upset emote? where it looked as if she was kicking the minion. that part was left out but other than that, I still think the editors did a great job. I am illiterate... so I can see why they didnt mention it. after asking to bring that minion out thats when the bad talking started.
