One of my favorite scenes of the film. A scene that starts the downfall of where the film gets sadder as well as more heartfelt, slowly leading towards the end. Its where there build up starts to come to an end as well, slowly dwindling down. Like Jean Reno really nailed his role, he's literally so underrated. One of the most underrated actors of all time, an actor that honestly deserves to be considered one of the greatest actors of all time, especially with his amazing performance in Leon which was just so heartfelt, intense, emotional and really lives up to it. Like its literally so touching, especially the duo they've been, and how much they've learned from each other, had an impact on each other, and how he finally learned to read because of her which is how he was able to read that note, and you can just see how much Leon cared for her through his facial expression as he reads it slowly since only recently did he learn how to read, understood it instantly and went to save her right away, even rushing in without his normal gear, sunglasses, beanie, & etc. If only she was able to pull it off for Leon to live on with her towards the end of the film even though if she waited, and followed along to what Leon said, all of them would've been taken out already which he was already doing. Like when Leon told her to stay at the apartment they were in when she asked where he was going since this mission was to much for her, as he was going out of his way to get her killers & avenge her family, and how he explained to her, if she were to do it, she would have to sleep with one of her eyes open at all times since there's no peace onwards after that, as well as how he struggles with life already from the very first time he's had to clean, and all his life he's been doing this & how much he cares for her, feels for her, and much more because now he has something to loose for, care for & etc - without his life always being meaningless like he said, as well as dark, she was the light. Like what a film, with honestly so much to say. A film with such strong emotions that it moves you, it changes you, it touches your heart so much, and really gives you so many meanings about life and how its seen as well. Especially with the duo they were, the bond they had, and the build-up they had on each other. The motivation, meanings to one anothers life. One of the greatest movies of all time. Truly legendary, iconic, emotionally intense, heartfelt, and much more with soundtracks that are honestly so heartfelt as if it just pierces your heart, like it touches you so much. A film that is unforgettable, and will always have a special place in my heart. It honestly just means so much. Never forgotten, and always remembered. One of my favorite films, and one that is better felt, than explained with so much to keep on saying. Truly endless.
Such a touching scene, You can even see it in Leon's heart, that he truly cared
