I do the exact same for allowance with my daughter!! Except when she was 5, 6, & 7 years old I gave her the dollar equivalent of her age each MONTH lol times were hard and it went a long way at the dollar store haha!!! But now it's weekly
We did this too and it was monthly. Until you got a car. Then your allowance increased. And no, this doesn't mean "oh you're spoiled you never had a job." No I worked 4 jobs at a time multiple times in high school. But it meant that working could be for me to gain experience and to save money, not to worry about having enough money to get by.
I also have a green light card as a 13 yr as well! It is the best thing my parents have gotten me I can spend and save my money how I like and you can choose how you want to save! My favorite part is, is that every week on a Friday I get 6.50 loaded into my card and 6.50 gets loaded into my savings! So far with my savings I have bought a iPad and a new phone!❤
Love this! I would LOVE to see more of this! And her explaining what she found! And def second the person who suggested doing a Haul video! Or even one of all the items you’ve gotten so far!
This is such a smart way to give children allowances. I never had one as a kid, but I learned smart spending eventually lol. I only ever got money on my birthday (in May) and Christmas, so I’d manage to save throughout the time. I also have a memory of washing my mother’s car and seat belts lol, for $15. I had fish and hamsters growing up, and my money went towards them. I never spent the money on myself since I was the type to NEED pets or I’d mentally crumble 💀 Now I’m amazing with my credit, I don’t spend as much money on myself as I used to (I would use all my paycheck money bi-weekly on albums and books lol), and I have a savings account and a CD. Just turned 19, but I definitely still don’t know how I’ll afford a place to stay at when I transfer to my university.
Wth? I didn’t expect it to be so much more expensive in the US. Here I am already thinking it’s expensive af in France. It’s nice you found good stuff there.
Just be careful with what you buy some airplanes will not let you fly back with the big bottles and they would throw them away ! For people who do want to buy things and are wondering how to get them home FYI just SHIP THEM HOME 😅
Great choices Nuxe, La Roch Pose, Avene , is another outstanding one too, both La Roch and Avene have spring water clinics that cure the most severe cases of skin issues .. the spring water is the cure , I love this when in sick for my face .. and after long plane flights too , the uses are endless and our skin loves it , it’s the absolute best 🇨🇦🙏🏽😘👏🏽🇮🇱💎♥️❤️👍🏽
Four dollars in France or four EUROS is France? Because they are different. If it was 4 euro’s then it would be around 4.29 in dollars, which isn’t bad but it adds up.
Wait a minute... her skin looks perfect. Would she feel comfortable showing us a skin routine or products she liked and didn't? You have got beautiful kids. you're raising them to be real citizens with knowledge of how the world works. Good on you, mumma!
Wow $13 a week allowance. When I was 13 I was getting $20 and that was in the 90’s and there were four of us lol. When I got to 15 I started working and all my money went on gas and I also saved for my own computer oh and I had to pay my parents board and lodgings 😂😂😂
I will save this don’t let her get anything that says anti-aging because she does not need that honestly from a aesthetician. I’m not an aesthetician. I’m 17 and I just have ADHD and can spit out facts like nobody says, but anyway, she only needs a moisturizer and a sunscreen and a good face wash. It’s good for acne, and you can find all that stuff at target for cheap
She’s buying from brands that are native to Europe. Everything is cheaper the closer you are to the country of origin. If you try to buy American products as someone from another country, of course it will be more expensive.
You turned her into a shopping no monster! 😂 next she’s gonna start extreme couponing
Lol

I didn’t expect it to be so much more expensive in the US.

It’s nice you found good stuff there.
La Roche Posay is a great brand. Your daughter really knows her stuff ❤
A thirteen year old.
@susiex6669 no shit sherlock
Yes Nuxe is so hard to find and it’s expensive !!! Get it while you can 😊
My husband has been using greenlight debit cards for his kids since 2020. Best decision ever
That's so awesome. I'm so proud of her.❤🎉
Yess I love greenlight
Love shopping in Europe for things like this!
You should use the venmo card for teens there's no fees once you buy it there is no extra money spent
Good for her, and she has lovely skin 😊
What France did you guys when cuz I’m sure that it’s not 4$😭😭😭
I’m in Paris I hope u have fun! Wish I could meet u guys

I love Greenlight!! I have it too
Wish these cards existed when I was a kid
The cloudier said it so nice
Thats 689 dollars a year!!!!! Her allowance is so much
I was there when you were there oh my gosh so cool!!
Just be careful with what you buy some airplanes will not let you fly back with the big bottles and they would throw them away !

Everything she bought is still small enough to go in a check bag with no problem from security.
As long as its checked bag most bottles should be fine but still good advice!!
I have greeenlight. And love it
Grace should start her own TH-cam channel!!!
Jess you are such a beautiful powerful women
Awesome 💛
Make sure everything gets put in checked luggage on the way back! Looks so fun!
That's what I was wondering about. How to get it back to the US
A thirteen year old worried about cosmetic skin care products at that age? What a world.
She’s not going to be able to fly home with that the bottles are too big 😂😅
Skin care abroad is so much better! The govt actually cares about what their citizen put on their bodies. Smart girl! 👍🏼
That kid is smart!
"Greenlight" is a dispensary name in my area 😂😂
I have the same purses as her
How do you guys get through customs with all those liquids?
I also got my age for allowance growing up! 😍🥰
Can we have her list?
Yea ours pgarmacies got a lot of stuff 😂 but depand on what you take it can be expensive
i have greenlight!
My mom got Green light for me and my brother
I dont even get allowance
We use Greenlight to and I’m 11 and I get $25 a week😂
Can you take that on as plane? I've never flown before. But I thought bottles had to be under a certain weight?
How is she bringing it back?
Does having green light debit card cost money every month?
correction 4 euro's
You said in another video you use a different card
My dad gave me green light but I think it got hacked
WOW! She is a boss girl!! Teach me, lol🤗🤗
$4!!?!!?!?
I got 2.50 a week till I was 14 then I got 5 a week till I had my suterday job when I was 16/17.
where is your other daughter? i haven’t seen her in videos for months.
I don’t think she likes to be seen on social media
@@bella_urfavvNo she's dead, obviously.
@@bella_urfavvthe correct answer Jess did a video on this. Been on a social media break more or less a hiatus now 😂
She older now and has her own life and does what she want now and her own money to spend so she is living good
She had her own Summer plans
And just how do you get all that stuff back to America?
A doller for age?!
How would u take the big products on the plane back home though lmao
In your checked bags. Not the carry on

You should stop using greenlight cause apparently they have hidden fees.
13 dollars for 13 year old is perfect
You could have went to a Pharmacy in Germany. Normally, stuff is even cheaper here
💃💃💃💃
I have to

Are Jess and that girl dating?
Yes
Yes. It is posted on her Community Tab. 😊💖
u sld teach them about healthy eating as well...
How long are you guys staying?
Idk if planes still do this but isnt the the limit for liquid 3oz?
If you pack the item in your checked bag it doesn’t matter what size the item is.
that’s for carryons and it’s under 3.6oz/100g
@@Bush_In_Disguise ohhh gotcha thanks!
Damn kids get a lot of allowance now. I got 10 cents for every year. 20 when we got into secondary education. Late 90's kid btw
Well, ten cents wouldn’t buy anyone anything now lol.
for anyone wondering 13 dollars a week for a year would be 676 dollars a year
No?
Its 565
655*
Dont airplanes have rules on liquids and stuff??
Yes, but none of this is against the rules.
dang she does not look 13... she looks about 17 😮
Bro do you make her buy her own food???
Why can’t you buy her skincare?
Because she learns finances this way?
you. could show your passport and get vat refund for pharmacie beauty products too ❤
Not trying to be rude but we’re was your son
How is she going to take them back?
Wdym? You just pack them in your check bag.
Are you aloud to bring liquid back?
@@Alee-c-a yes

that’s what I’m saying!
Jesus loves you ❤

Stfuuu buying shit in the US is sm cheaper than buying in other countries. Where i live most of the shit u have cost three times as much here

She gets only 13 dollars I get 160 dollars
As an allowance?? That’s insane most people don’t even have an allowance
You should use the venmo card for teens there's no fees once you buy it there is no extra money spent
