Many years ago I had an infection and became septic. I kept getting sick constantly after thr sepsis. My dr had me get.rid of most of my cleaners. He said we need some germs to live healthy. I do not use a lot of different cleaners to this day. I understand that we are disinfecting due to Covid but killing all the germs sets us up to be sicker.

I know we are in a pandemic but people can’t just change facts even there was an article from the health department here saying pregnant women should stay away from using disinfectant on their hands cause it’s alcohol it could cause damage to their babys lungs and give them enlarged head and now because of this pandemic they have taken it down

My daily cleaning routine just consists of picking things up from the floors, wiping things down in the kitchen and vacuuming. That’s all I do on a daily basis. And then I take about 2-3 days a week to clean bathrooms and other areas of the house
I think I missed the cleaning/laundry routine question last video so I'll share mine here. I'm 19 living at home with my two parents and my dog. I'm a huge cleaner, so I do most of the cleaning haha. With cleaning, I take one day to a week to do the deep cleaning: vacuum all floors, mop all floors, deep clean all bathrooms, wipe down all the surfaces, disinfect areas I want to disinfect, and cleaning all glass surfaces. I do this when my parents are napping or at work so I have time to myself to do all this. The daily cleaning is dishes, light vacuuming, wipe down counters, stovetop, lightly wipe down bathrooms if necessary, and pick things up. Only once a month will I clean baseboards, window/door tracking, cleaning carpets/furniture, cleaning out my care. They're not as important to me to do more often. My laundry routine depends. I like to do it all in a day, but usually, it's like three days I do laundry. I like to wash my bedding once a week, and I do my parents like every couple of weeks. (They're preference). I do everyone's clothes once a week and I usually fold and put them away immediately so I can get them out of the way. Here are my current laundry products if you are curious! - Tide free and clear 10x Hygenic clean - Downey free and clear - Lysol/Clorox laundry sanitizer (love this stuff, just makes me feel like my clothes are really getting fully clean) - Sometimes Tide-free and clear laundry powder if I want to mix it up (use this on my floors since my mom has a scent allergy). I hope this wasn't too much, but my cleaning and laundry routines are so ingrained in my head that it doesn't take me a long time to do everything. Of course, it's just me and my parents so we don't make a huge mess so it is easier, but I don't know if this helps haha. You've helped me so much to love cleaning and taking care of my home. I love your videos so much! Thank you!

Jamie my cousin loaned me her Bissell Crosswave and I fell in love! I have all laminate flooring and tile in my home and it worked great on the laminate. It is cordless and a vacuum and wet vac in one. I have a large one story home and sweeping then mopping the floors is a chore, this makes it one and done! Needless to say mine is on its way! 👍🏻

3 things I wanted to add. 1 oh thank you for showing me the steam shot on the carpet cleaner I never thought of that. 2 if you use the steam shot on the walls super easy for those crayon marks. 3 try either Avon bubble bath for mirrors. Streak resistance and reveals dust. Or try dollar store shaving cream cleans and won't steam up. Thank you for all the new ideas.

As I’m sitting here watching your video, my house is straightened up, no dishes in the sink, and I just folded a load of towels. It’s a great feeling! I was looking at your living room and I think you can add a small table next to the armchair maybe in a similar color to the coffee table, I think it would add consistency to the living room, that's my opinion ❤️❤️
Laundry I used to do it all on an off day,but then I didn't have much family downtime. Now we tend to do a load of something every day. Sheets on Mondays, towels on Wed. Pt stuff Fridays. The other days I do clothes. That way even if I'm doing a load on Sat/Sun, it's only 1 load-2 loads. If they are home visiting The guys usually do all their own laundry unless it's midterms or finals time, then I help them by rotating or texting when I notice they need to switch from w>d. It frees things up so I can stay on my routine.

Loved the video as usual. Going to go clean my floors right now, darn you! LOL. I love your basement, what a great space. My couches do not get too dirty. Love watching your cleaning video’s! They definitely have motivated me to do deeper cleans in my own home & I have picked up some great tips from you which, Thank You!!! I actually twice a year unzip my cushions on my furniture turn the covers inside out and wash on delicate in the washing machine and let air dry. Two cats and I am klutzy at times so they definitely need it. I also use an attachment on my Bissell Spotbot to spot clean as needed.
This is an awesome video. I love the time stamps and the information shared here. I’m glad you talked about disinfectant vs. cleaner. Also I feel like people don’t follow directions to actually disinfect or sanitize even when they do use those products- which means they aren’t actually doing anything. I watch a lot of cleaning videos and this was absolutely excellent. So many great tips for a variety of situations. If I can share one with you? For carpet cleaning, rinse your carpets. Honestly the best way to do them is to spray on your cleaner and run just water in the machine, but that isn’t always practical so I end up doing 2 passes (one for carpet cleaning solution and one with water only). If you used an alkaline cleaner you’d need to balance that ph with some acidity in the rinse water (example vinegar). But I believe Bona is ph neutral and it seemed like that’s what you poured in to the bissell but I didn’t see. (Edit: went back after writing this and saw it was the oxy carpet cleaner- I a basic/alkaline cleaner and rinse with water with a touch of vinegar. It doesn’t leave a smell of vinegar, just neutralizes the ph) So with this you’d just rinse with water. Reason being is that leaving the cleaner in your carpet actually makes them get dirty quicker. Any moisture reactivates the cleaner in the carpet and traps dirt into the cleaner in the carpet fibers. Taking a little more time to do the rinse has definitely saved me more time in the long run. And it keeps the carpet feeling softer too.
Really satisfying and calming to watch you clean. Not sure what that says about me. 😁 You have a beautiful home. I love the finishes. Beautiful floors. ✳️ I make a cleaner with equal parts water, alcohol and white vinegar with a few drops of Dawn and sometimes lemon essential oil. It makes a great floor cleaner - dries quickly - no streaks. I use it on almost everything. ✳️ I wonder if you’ve thought of adding a board in those basement windows to make it easier to dust those.

I LOVE my Bissell steam shot! My daughter got some gel food dye on her light grey carpet and I didn't find it until it was dry, but I used the steam shot to loosen it back up and then it came right out with folex! Thank you for showing it❤

So true about the difference between cleaning and disinfecting! The same with a difference of dirty versus cluttered. Organization is way different than actual cleaning. I wish cleaning was as much fun as organizing 🤣

Laundry I used to do it all on an off day,but then I didn't have much family downtime. Now we tend to do a load of something every day. Sheets on Mondays, towels on Wed. Pt stuff Fridays. The other days I do clothes. That way even if I'm doing a load on Sat/Sun, it's only 1 load-2 loads. If they are home visiting The guys usually do all their own laundry unless it's midterms or finals time, then I help them by rotating or texting when I notice they need to switch from w>d. It frees things up so I can stay on my routine.

Loved the video as usual. Going to go clean my floors right now, darn you! LOL. I love your basement, what a great space. My couches do not get too dirty. I have two dogs so I have nice couch covers that I use and toss them in the wash. Makes it easy. I do of course vacuumed them. Have a blessed week and looking forward to the next video.

Love watching your cleaning video’s! They definitely have motivated me to do deeper cleans in my own home & I have picked up some great tips from you which, Thank You!!! I actually twice a year unzip my cushions on my furniture turn the covers inside out and wash on delicate in the washing machine and let air dry. Two cats and I am klutzy at times so they definitely need it. I also use an attachment on my Bissell Spotbot to spot clean as needed.

This is an awesome video. I love the time stamps and the information shared here. I’m glad you talked about disinfectant vs. cleaner. Also I feel like people don’t follow directions to actually disinfect or sanitize even when they do use those products- which means they aren’t actually doing anything. I watch a lot of cleaning videos and this was absolutely excellent. So many great tips for a variety of situations.
If I can share one with you? For carpet cleaning, rinse your carpets. Honestly the best way to do them is to spray on your cleaner and run just water in the machine, but that isn’t always practical so I end up doing 2 passes (one for carpet cleaning solution and one with water only). If you used an alkaline cleaner you’d need to balance that ph with some acidity in the rinse water (example vinegar). But I believe Bona is ph neutral and it seemed like that’s what you poured in to the bissell but I didn’t see. (Edit: went back after writing this and saw it was the oxy carpet cleaner- I a basic/alkaline cleaner and rinse with water with a touch of vinegar. It doesn’t leave a smell of vinegar, just neutralizes the ph) So with this you’d just rinse with water. Reason being is that leaving the cleaner in your carpet actually makes them get dirty quicker. Any moisture reactivates the cleaner in the carpet and traps dirt into the cleaner in the carpet fibers. Taking a little more time to do the rinse has definitely saved me more time in the long run. And it keeps the carpet feeling softer too.

Really satisfying and calming to watch you clean. Not sure what that says about me. 😁 You have a beautiful home. I love the finishes. Beautiful floors. ✳️ I make a cleaner with equal parts water, alcohol and white vinegar with a few drops of Dawn and sometimes lemon essential oil. It makes a great floor cleaner - dries quickly - no streaks. I use it on almost everything. ✳️ I wonder if you’ve thought of adding a board in those basement windows to make it easier to dust those.

I LOVE my Bissell steam shot! My daughter got some gel food dye on her light grey carpet and I didn't find it until it was dry, but I used the steam shot to loosen it back up and then it came right out with folex! Thank you for showing it❤
