Some of our clients told us that outsourcing allowed them to meet tight deadlines and deliver high-quality content, making their clients happier. And as we can also enhance poor audio files, they were able to get a crisp and clear sound without hearing the wind (wedding near the beach).
Dude right?!?! It's not for everyone, but it makes sense for many people who aren't using it. Hope to see more people making this move as time goes one!
Great topic. Over the past year we have outsourced our "cull process" so we only have to work with the usable footage when making the feature films. Over the past 6 months the same editor is also doing our "doc films" which is full ceremony, dances, and toasts. It has cut at least 20 hours of editing per weddings. Thats 500 hours per year for us.
That's huge! It's those "other" films that end up taking forever and can really impact your turn around times. Getting that off your plate can make a world of difference!
I can completely relate! I am seriously looking into hiring help for video editing. I see you recently posting on IG that you're hiring for a video editor. Would you still recommend this service or do you think it's better to hire somebody directly? I'd love to hear your thoughts because I am getting severely behind ☠
Cant access their website without signing up or logging in. I would like to look things over before putting in my info. Is this possible? Also, when I google them there URL doesn’t come up? I know you trust them but this worries me. Thanks
Hey Chris! I have noticed they don't show up on Google right away. I honestly think it's just because they're competing with a popular name and don't rank high enough. They're legit! Their new website should be accessible without logging in and has lots of great info: www.wanderlust-videos.com/
I can’t believe how true this is. I thought that only I had this feeling of being overwhelmed with editing while shooting weddings. I have had only one wedding a month which I thought that I’d have enough to time Along with doing photo shoots in between and editing. Trying to deliver highlights within 24-48 hours. Yeah have been thinking of outsourcing. I was also afraid thinking that it would not come it as good as I would edit them. But seeing other wedding editing companies work it’s better than mines if not great. Thanks for clearing things up. I will give this company a try. How is it uploading to them? Clients don’t really know how much work it takes to edit these videos. Thank you!

For sure! It can make a huge difference. Even just outsourcing a few small things can make a huge difference in your stress levels!
So glad this is online. A lot of people don't know the 'dark side' of wedding editing. 7:30 is a golden ticket to why outsourcing editing is valuable.
For sure! And once it starts piling up it feels almost impossible to get out from under!

Can I use the final edits from Wanderlust in my portfolio?

Do you know any other outsourcing editing companies besides Wanderlust?
