Man Under Painting

This is the only dialogue in a short film by Foam Soda called Man Under Painting. In this scene I am simply a good old dude in town who has just offered a lift to this young artist carrying a large painting across town to a gallery. In this one scene I offer him some wisdom then drive off - that's it. I turn around his gloom and doom meaningless endeavor. But delivering - verbatim - a 2-minute monologue while driving around the Richmond District was a challenge that we pulled off. Jon used reverse angle shots - when I am speaking Jon, the filmmaker, is actually in the passengers seat and the camera is mounted off the floor. The sound engineer is in the backseat.
