I absolutely love this performance. The song is so evocative I can almost smell the mitti of Punjab in it even though I've hardly been in the place... It is the land of my parents and grandparents. Jagjitji 's expressions are just so lovely... This beautiful music is soothing the stress of quarantine and lock down. May Jagjitji be at peace and enjoying the serenity of heaven with his son for delighting our senses with his voice.
I don't know Punjabi language. But I can smell the wonderful flavour of sawan ka mahina in this song which have made Jagjitji and Chamanlalji immortal. I am a fan of Jagjitji. While listening his songs I always find divinity and serenity in his face. May his soul RIP.
Very very True 🙏🙏 Chaman Lal Ji . What a delightful poem , writer and the Way Jagjit Ji sang it .. Wahh Wahh .. great childhood memories of Mumbai .. 🌸🌿🍀🌹🌺

Manje means bed. In saun when it is raining, manje has to brought down from roof otherwise manje will get wet. Daun here mean ropes which are used to tighten the loose manje. Daun sounds similar to dhaun which means neck.
@@vikramvaid thanks for this. I knew that manje are the beds made with rope but I really didn't know that the rope is daun. Ive definitely learned something.
In months of July and August when it is still hot and Sawan starts people sleep on roof or outside. So when it rains cot (manji) has to be inside otherwise it will.get wet

Please someone remind me why the manje have to be brought down in saun and is that why the neck is affected?
