Mounting BBS RI-D's and Carbon Winglets on the M2CS

- As I roll out the M2 content, I wanted to make a quick video of mounting the BBS wheels. I'm not sure I like these on this car that much but I had to try it out. It should look a ton better when I lower it. The Milwaukee rivet gun came in handy to attach the carbon winglets from BMW performance. Also stay tuned for the Pit Boss floor jacks, these things are legit.

This resembles what I have always said, lets live the black wheels for quad bikes, the conventional rim colours usually work wonders, this car resembles, just that, but my God this dude knows a whole lot about cars, his BMWs are unmatched, this dude is a true enthusiast,never seen such passion..

I agree, black wheels do nothing to improve a cars appearance …..no differentiation between the rubber tire and the wheel so at that point what does the design of a how a black wheel looks. Also, I’m 35 so def not a boomer Donald Duck
@@jameswillard1 I hated tinted windows. No differentiation between the car and window. Same for black interiors. Can’t tell if it’s outside or inside.

Not to sure, I would like to see them with the BMW centre cap, so it looks more OEM+.
OEM centre caps always look best especially on a wheel that looks somewhat OEM.

Silver on silver looks good. Black on silver is played out.
IMO the stock 963M wheels in black look much better. The 963M wheels are some the best wheels BMW has ever made.

The silver BBS wheels look fantastic on the M2 Matt. I’m really excited that you got this car-as it’s my favourite M car at the moment. I think the next iteration will have very big shoes to fill. Hey Matt, they homologated those Super sports for the OG M2 that is why they use them over the PS4S. The Cup 2 connect tires were also homologated but for the M2 CS. Tyre reviews actually did a side-to-side test of the star-spec Super Sports compared to standard PS4S tires on an OG M2; it is a super interesting review. The results showed that the Super Sports outperformed the PS4S on the M2. I have also heard that the car isn’t nearly as dialed-in feeling on tires like the Contis that came on some of the original M2s, take that with a grain of salt as that is anecdotal.

@@ObsessedGarage I just rewatched the Tyre Reviews video again for the first time since released and I didn’t quite recall the results correctly. Seems that the PSS is only better in the dry and only by a small margin. Subjectively the driver preferred the PS4S and those tires smoked everything else in any rain.

Why wouldn’t u just powder coat the stock wheels if u wanted that silver look? Such nonsense. You have a cs which is a m2 on steroids keep it stock man shit. I know u want content but don’t use this platform to distroy what bmw built with over priced mods.

I love the subtle humor like at 14:03 to 14:13 where Uncle Matt is fumbling with figuring out the hub ring and the camera zooms in on the instructions laying discarded and unread on the floor haha cracks me up. Or last week when he was falling asleep on the couch. Absolute gold
I honestly gasped a lil when I saw the face of that BBs wheel. Perfect wheel choice. Can't wait for the Ohlin's suspension vid. Still haven't heard the M2 since the CF charge pipe/Intake install. Curious to hear the diff in the engine...if any

Car looks a thousand times better with the silver wheels over the black. Not only that it actually improves the pop of the Hockenheim Silver 😍👍🏻
These silver wheels compliment the paint and I appreciate them way more than the glossy black factory wheels but I just saw a OG Facebook post from last week that had sun glare which made the factory rear wheels look bronze. This color choice would look amazing, especially if the red calipers were ditched! Emphasis on those large brakes are noticed a lot more with the silver too.

I like both wheel colors. I like the red calipers (or black). Carbon fiber looks silly, though.
I like the silver on silver combo, it’s more classy than sporty and even the stock suspension with it. It looks expensive just sitting there

It's simply black paint on the chrome ring around the badge. Otherwise they are stock emblems.
Winglets look kind of tacky to me. Wheels look good!

Great car...quick question if u dont mind , no pun intended , just curious. Why did u bought the CS and not the Comp if u are changing the suspention and wheels? Extra HP? Chassis changes on the CS? I would've gotten a blue M2 CS with golden wheels...i know it sounds cheesy but i love the fact that this combination is unique for the CS ...i would just fit an Akrapovic or Remus exhaust instead of that horrendous stock cow udder 🤮

They are in fact the exact same wheel. BBS has been making wheels for BMW for a long long time
@@chancemccloskey5665 No they aren't. The Black ones are the same as the gold OEM ones. These are different.
you cant put blue loctite for wheel stud kits, only red!, i've had them come loose on me before with blue loctite.

Hey Matt, what brand name are those jacks?
His attention to detail is off the charts but he did call them shop boss once (which is what the sticker says) and pit boss several times. Maybe he just got done smoking or grilling and had pit boss on the mind 🤷♂️.

@@lukelambert4595sounds like shit but he says shoot. Ive only heard him cuss once when he got blasted with some fluid (power steering iirc) but they beeped it out.

That is WAY better looking than the stock wheels. Especially in silver. But you could have gotten a better wheel with the exact offset from Apex racing. They look similar, better.
