@abfab5300 not true - it was an extremely brave and brilliant decision that saved a lot of lives. She was already way back on top through hard work and just being brilliant by the time Finding Nemo came along. Good for her!!! :-)

And just a couple of things: kids do have working hormones, nobody is born with a pre-programmed favourite colour, in fact a lot of people have various favourite colours throughout their lives, and though indeed not everything is encoded in our DNA, if you're born with a certain quality then yeah, it is in your DNA.

UH. For all the talk on her unrelated to the video, I would at least point out that young children can have attractions. They're called crushes. I have definitely heard gay people say that as a kid they had crushes on kids of the same sex. It's just something that came naturally, is the point. It's a part of who they are. So that's why people say "they were born that way." It's a preference that they didn't choose consciously. Anyway... Ellen was and will always be awesome sauce.

You know her as a lesbian, therefore, her speaking about an ex-boyfriend seems strange. Like seeing someone walk, whom you, for years, only have seen move about in a wheelchair beforehand.
Sorry but the statement "All gay people are gay from birth" is reductive, simplistic and... ignorant. I'm sure you have the best intentions but one blanket statement does not cancel another one out. There is very little we know or can say for certain about sexuality, any sexuality. The only thing we can say is we should all try to be true to ourselves, to be happy and to make others happy.
