If patient can count fingers from a distance of 6 mts.....then what is the necessity of doing a PL/PR test .... Ma'am please clear my doubt....as we do PL/PR if snellen chart showing less than 1/60 even counting of fingers is not successful....pls Ma'am clear this doubt

PR should be to check all the quadrants of retina the peripheral retina ... that's why PR is important

Projection of light test is different, perception of light test is dfrnt...... projection of light from different sides to make sure there are no hemianopias or quadrant anopias by checking visual field defects..
