Hi Phil. Great video. I'm drooling. My collection certainly doesn't rise to the number you have, so I always change it up ... but I think the way you have it makes sense. You're a completionist. And you have a lot ... The way you have it is a perfect set up to grow into a museum someday ... which is what it already is really.
Me personally I love to look all the same casting together,it's easier to find if needed, I have about 24 Carney cases, and I need about 24 more cases of cars I need to get out and display, but anyway ,your videos are some of my favorites to watch especially the room tours I always watch more than once😅
By series to me is far more impressive I would have never known you had every sth made the other way with that being said it almost seems impossible to have them all. I have a very nice collection at least I thought I did until I watched your video. Very impressive Mr Phil
The way you have it set up I would do it by series especially since you collect full sets! I dream of one day of having that much wall space let alone your display cases are insane! Leave the car show case’s to lamley that’s his specialty!
I'm torn as I can see the merits of either way. I think for sheer wow factor, previous room tours you did with the make/model method probably edge it for me. But I wouldn't be able to resist putting all the supers together like you have. I'd be tempted to keep those like you do now as it's so strong. Also I think Boulevards there's a case to showcase all together in order - especially if they continue it and you'd eventually have say 150-200 cars. What an amazing cross-section that will be. Nice problems to have anyway. Greetings from the UK.
Hi, impressive collection. Personally I like placing models by maker but I think that for Car culture, Boulevard, RLC is a good idea to display by series.
However you decide to show your cars is totally up to you. There’s no right or wrong way of displaying them. As long as you’re happy with it it doesn’t matter. I think that your collection is great no matter how you display them.😊
The first thing I'd say is display what you want to see most of, ive reached 1000 loose on display and completely run of space so everything i collect now will stay carded, ive tried to display by make and model but once the space has gone they just go where i can fit them . If my collection was at your level, i would probably stop with mainlines as you have and continue displaying premium and supers . Great collection ' great channel' great content 👍
Hi Phil, I always love seeing your collection. I personally prefer the way you have the collection arraigned now by series. If you want to look at Boulevards, you can look at Boulevards. If you want to look at Fast and Furious, you can look at Fast and Furious and etc, etc.
Personally in my opinion having same models together displayed would make it easy to compare etc. Like all volvo together all bmw together since set name is visible only on cards and in your case you display them lose. But might be tricky though to make it this way😄
At this grade of collection, this is best way to display it. If you have favourite casting or car maker, you can still have extra wall with mainline models of it.
I would say the organization should be based on what excites you the most. If different types of cars bring you the most joy, organize by make and model. If there is no better feeling than when you finally find every casting in a specific set (or if sets and their card art is of interest to you), organize by set/series. For me, what excites me the most are the designs throughout diecast history, so I organize my displays by casting debut year. It's enjoyable for me to see how design/manufacturing/art direction changes over the decades!
For You if You collecting series or sets then Yes categorize them that way. If Your a more by model or make then group them that way. All based and suited to how You collect. Always enjoy Your collection. 😁👍
I love the display either way. I think what you have going now is better. I did love seeing all of those Road Runners together, but displaying the sets gives more of a timeline of Hotwheels and diecast.
Amazing Collection 👏🏼🫡 my wife likes when I display my collection by color 🧐😆but I prefer by make and model since my collection is relatively small. But I would have to say that considering how vast and varied your portfolio is.. well I believe you have them perfectly displayed and it balances out nicely. The only issues are waiting for the cars and series to arrive as the distribution is really not consistent. Anyway, really enjoy your walk thru of your beautiful 🤩 collection ✨✌🏼
Hi Phil .... I'm Robert i live in Queensland , Australia... I just watched your video , you have a amazing collection . The way you have it looking is the best way for the display... I THINK ... I have a collection of Mustangs any scale any brand they make up about 90% of my collection there is 817 at last count. Looking forward to watching more videos .... Cheers 72 MACH I , QLD....
Absolutely AMAZING!! I think you should keep the current configuration. You'll eventually get tired adding new models and moving stuff all the time,,even if you say you won't!LOL Thanks for finally showing the scrapyard, it's awesome!! There's my 2cents.
I’ve been watching the a while and I think your current set up is the way to go. Great collection! A couple of questions for you Phil - and, not sure if you’ve covered it before: first, is there a particular display case that you like? You have a wide selection. Second, how do you document your collection? How do you keep it all straight as in what you have and what you need?
To me, both ways of displaying are good ideas. I for one do not have any treasure Hunts so by model works best for me. I want to display my collection in a diorama. Not sure if that helps.
Spectacular collection. Thanks for sharing. A couple questions. What the difference in a mainline, treasure hunt and super TH? What makes a Matchbox a chase vehicle? Thank you. Have a great day. 😊
Mainline th has plastic wheels and a standard paint, a super th has real riders which are real rubber tires and special paint most of the time. Matchbox is freshly new to the chase but has real rubber tires
Sir, you just got yourself a new sub! I also open them but I try to keep another one of the same model in blister. Its hard, specialy in Romania but in time I'll be where I want.
I dont have a very large or extensive collection like yourself. But i like to group similar to how video games can sort stuff. N I kinda do by "region" ... is it American, is it European, Japanese, Australian. n pair them up like that. Or have my own lil categories in my head. Maybe "little cars" mini coopers, fiat 500s, stuff like that, pair them up. Or lately what i'm impressed by.. is people who arrange like a color wheel. n have a nice beautiful arrangement of the various color spectrums. I think that looks super cool, but takes a special level of autism to get that right n look'n good. (and i dont say this as a negative! a lot of my friends have autism n i know it's a special super power when used and nurtured properly!) Hell just us obsessing about how to display our cars is a good example of a form of it too. lol. Thanks for sharing your collection. :)
Wow what a collection. Congrats! Obviously all those supers werent found in the wild conrrect? I assume you ordered a great deal of those online? I all were found in stores i may throw in the towel lol
I'm a little Debbie vendor. So I'm in Walmart, target and other stores early in the morning sometimes before they open. I also service 8 dollar generals. So I do my share of looking in these stores. Still I've only found one super. So the answer I guess Is to pull the cases off the palet before they even put them out ( little rude, i think to the workers) . Or someone calls to let you know they have arrived so you get first dibs. Otherwise to aquire most of the supers from the stores would be next to impossible. Guess I'm not trying hard enough lol
IT IS ABOUT THE QUALITY OF YOUR COLLECTION. *Thats why i go Oldschool* *I Hunt Thrift stores and garage sales,You have to HUNT* *2 each his own but i never buy from Stores* I probably got over a thousand from 1999 to 2018 *CATER*
I don't even collect Hotwheels anymore. They are moreless toys at this point. I collect only highend 1/64 model cars like MINI GT, TLV, Inno64, Kyosho, and resin model cars. Greater level of detail and better variety. For instance, Hotwheels does not make the Apollo IE evo or Ferrari 488 Pista in 1/64 scale yet there 1/64 brands that make them
Awesome collection. Can anyone tell me the info for the car in minute 22:14 between white and red pickup and yellow taxi. I believe you said retro entertainment but I didn't find it. Green blueish car that looks like a gto I believe
Hi Phil, I love the make and model display by a million miles, not even close, thanks a heap for all your great work….👍

amazing...😘
Awesome collection! I would say make and model but love the way you have them now
I simply wouldn't change anything, it's perfect the way it is!
I display mine by make , and then l do research on that make . Enjoy your videos Phil.
i guess its really up to the collector as to how they want their collection to look.
Dear Phil, all is perfect, awesome and really beautiful. Congrats!!!
Your room and Collection is a work of art 🤔
I like how you have it in order unlike my Collection which is Chaos 😉👍
The way you have it set up I would do it by series especially since you collect full sets! I dream of one day of having that much wall space let alone your display cases are insane! Leave the car show case’s to lamley that’s his specialty!
Wow that is a great way to display your car.Have to watch your other set up.I love the way you have it!!!
Fantástica e impresionante colección, felicidades

Display by color. Jk. Your collection is mind blowing. Absolutely love it in any manner. Dig your Canadian accent as well. Rush!!!!!!

It is very nicely displayed Phil.

Looking good! I keep all my stuff by series, so I'm for that.

I prefer the carney cases the large ones. And I document everything still on paper and on word in my phone.
Thanks Phil. Appreciate it.

I use to do make and model. Now I'm on to colors
10.000 is called a good start!
If you have the room to display them sure. But if you leave them in boxes than it is a waste of effort and time.
Absolutely impressive
Well, you should just do it the way you like, cause in the end you're the one enjoying it!
Love your Kaido house behind you
My self i go by series and by make ( hot wheels together m2 ect)
Other thing displaying supers with main feels like redundant for me. But everyone collect the way it feels best of course 😉
Just to show people when they come over the difference between the 2

Nice collection
For the team transport falken Mercedes, there is actually a wheel variation which is the white RREx wheels. Hope u can get that for your collection
Awsome I will keep my eyes open for it
Wow what a collection. Congrats! Obviously all those supers werent found in the wild conrrect? I assume you ordered a great deal of those online? I all were found in stores i may throw in the towel lol
Not all were found in stores, most yes, but if I don't find one, I will have to order it or trade for it.

@wacoblaze I do about 8 to 10 stores a day, I do find alot of supers though. It is all about luck and timing.
Isn’t it crazy how it never seems like enough? It’s an insatiable addiction

Nicer by models ❤👍
What’s you’re favorite car and what’s your most valuable?
My favorite car is the plymouth road runner 1968, my most expensive would be the candy striper.
Mr Phil when you showed the boulevard set you have to hoonigans the 55 bel air gasser is there any reason why
Yes one has a black chrome engine and the other is chrome variation
What display cases you using? Look excellent imo
Carney cases mostly
