Isn't the market pretty much saturated already.!???HW, MBX, Gl, Aw, JL, pop race,MiniGT, tomica, M2, GCD,, Majorette, maisto....and many more. Some collectors believe it or not...collect from all those brands and more. 😂 There are gonna be so many old diecast flooding the aftermarkets once collectors start dropping like flies.😂
I stopped collecting in 2020 at the height of you know what. Too many scalpers trying to make a living off reselling Hot Wheels. It went from being a cool hobby, to constant frustration.
I've been slowly moving away from HW and sticking with RLC as well as moving into MiniGT. So tired of finding nothing on the pegs. Its no longer a hunt its a fight and I'm tired of fighting
Same thing is happening the past couple months here in Germany.A lot of People suddenly popping up ,,collecting,, Almost impossible to find some Cars. And whats even worse is we don’t get the amount of Cases like you do in the US. Shops here restock with 1 or 2 Cases and Thats it .

I bet you it was the store employee who stashed those, in my experience from getting to a fresh dump bin or like 6 cases freshly stocked first one there and all "sought after " cars are gone its them, or them tipping friends off
yep, you can't trust the stockers.. because they will "Bury" a premium, so noboody will know where to look for it and then come back around and pick it up at the end of their shift because "nobody bought them'.
They do that same shit at my Walmart in Florida! And I’m not that worried about treasure hunts and super treasure hunts. I’m just wanting cool main line cars and they take all those too!😂
Scalpers are simply the lowest form of garbage today. It’s not just Hot Wheels. It’s sports cards, Star Wars, etc. Greedy pieces of trash who simply go into the stores to find things to flip on eBay. I was a scalper during covid. I paid my house off with it. Not worth the time anymore since buyer losers have returned to work and don't have covid checks. Was good while it lasted.
You call it greedy I call it hard work. Moat ppl are just upset they didn't find them first. But as long as there is money to be made there will be ppl that put in the work ti make it.
The trouble is store employees. My Walmart puts their pallets out the night before. I've been there and have watched employees cherry-picking cases before they make it to the pegs. They may have put those cars out at 7:15 AM, but I promise you those cars were already gone by 7:15.
Great video I agree with you 100% same 2 boulevard's missing in my stores too. Outof control been collecting for 30 years. Never been like this. Have a great day.
No man, you highlight some key points in the hobby. You're not the only one pissed. I'm in my 30's, but have been collecting Hot Wheels and die cast ever since I was 5. This has been happening for decades. I enjoy having complete sets. It sucks seeing broken sets. Unfortunately, I will buy unbroken sets, and buy the missing pieces/ cars elsewhere, just to assemble a complete set. Thanks for another great video, hey man, never apologize for going on rants. Your voice and opinions need to be heard.
Found that supervan at Walmart Sunday and instantly grabbed it. The history of THE supervan is so cool. Livery looks GREAT too! Also only way to kill off scalpers is to let the stock rot for the year.....
Love the new castings you were able to pick up, especially the Manx the Van and the Barbie Vette, love that you outsmarted the store employees and love your rants! Keep keeping it real Phil, keep setting a good example for the collecting community and keep up the great work! 👍
I was telling a friend who isn’t into Hot Wheels about scalpers and he couldn’t see what the big deal was if people get there first and buy up all the TH, STH, or other special cars as long as they pay for them. I guess someone looking in as a non-HW person, us collectors seem to be making a big deal out of little dollar toys 😂 I probably need to chill out a bit and just take this all in stride. My friend might have a point.
Yes, you are right where I live at people are doing the same thing. I get mad because I’m missing one car from my set. I’m a collector not a sales person and it kinda hurts when people do that around here they take most all of them and they leave all the cars that they’re no good. I feel free man. I know how you feel keep on doing the good stuff you’re right about everything man God bless you, man.
@mtldiecastcafe doesn't help if the staff have picked the eyes out of the stock before the public. Same thing happens with a new 1/64 brand we have here in Australia called Oz Wheels. All the chase pieces seem to magically vanish, then magically appear on Ebay. Grabblers.
No use in getting yourself all worked up. It's the same everywhere and only getting worse. They act like there going to get rich from a few cars. Makes me sick. 🤮 👍✌️. NJ 👿
Watched your video today, the 1st for me, I will be watching from now on and will go thru the older ones too. Very good, love your take on things and love that you open and enjoy the cars. I am older and while I used to collect and have a nice collection kind of, I can no longer do it, not much on the shelves in my area and with today's cost of living even a couple dollars car can be tough, that and the fact even with slim picking I can find a few at a time. Again, love your videos, thanks for the great entertainment.
Thank you for showing these amazing castings! I like them a lot! And yes, hot wheels are getting harder to collect indeed, sadly.... In the place I live, everytime when a toy store gets a new box of premium, you know you'll NEVER find some of those castings. I went to a toy store today, the whole set is also missing the two on the top ONLY. No one take the rest. I'll probably go get the pantera gruppo 4 next week. It looks really great to me. I'm fairly sure they'll be on the peg for quite a while which is a good thing to me.
Same thing happening here where I live. I've been collecting for over 30 years now and I have never seen anything like this. This hobby will never be the same. Walmart stocked P case this morning and when I arrived there was one individual with a shopping cart that was half full with cars. Many were multiples of the same casting. By the time he left all that was left were the peg warmers that nobody buys. Years ago I could go into any store and pretty much find what I was looking for. Nowadays I don't expect to find anything. Very sad times for the hobby and the true collectors.
New to your Channel and new to The fabulous world of collecting Hot Wheels .collected Die cast 1/43 your last 5 years F1 , Wrc Sports cars . Hot Wheel cars so cool .Iam from Leeds in England . I have seen quiet often in the stores I go into people are removing the castings from the package and leaving the package in the store , not cool I like how you display your castings and show us your castings .Great work
First, love your videos! Keep them coming. A couple of years ago, I decided to get a subscription, and I get a basic case, boulevards, and Car Culture sealed cases when they come out. Like everyone else got tired of not finding things. Don't have the time to play their game.
It is the same way around here where I live scalpers are only taking certain cars from sets to go sell on eBay to make money and leave everything else at the stores and people around here do repackage stuff with other cars to return to the store to get they're money back and people are stealing stuff also and just leaving the empty packages there without even paying for them and it is definitely getting a whole lot harder to find new hot wheels out there at the stores i went to this one Target the other day and the pegs were completely empty no hot wheels at all and all none of the stores in my area isn't getting that much new hot wheels in anymore not like they used to and some of my local stores went backwards and put out old hot wheels from last year. So some of my local stores are way behind on getting any new hot wheels now and there are definitely a lot more collectors, store employees opening up the cases and taking the cars before they even get put on the pegs, scalpers, and resellers in my area. So it definitely getting a whole lot harder to find new hot wheels out there at the stores anymore then ever before especially after the pandemic started. Before the pandemic started i was finding lots of new hot wheels out there at my local stores but ever since the pandemic started it has gotten a whole lot harder to find new hot wheels out there at the stores anymore. So I blame all of this on the pandemic that started all of this.
@@Zer0Fall3n True actually today i found the Supra from the world tour it’s my 2nd newest short my adrenaline was rushing it wasn’t even in the right spot.
@@MakeGunsFunForEveryone I’ve found a ton of open cases that were re-taped, I believe employees definitely swoop em or hide them. Ayyy that’s what’s up man, I bet! Congrats on the find.
@@Zer0Fall3n yea I’ve came across 4 cases of slide street 2 all retapped that rolla isn’t even that cool. The dollar general and dollar tree legit sell scalpers cases my one dg has 3 cars from 22 I asked they legit told me they just sell 72 at $1.25 plus tax that’s under $95 it’s sad where it went I have blue cards from 2000s the glory days
EXCELLENT CHOICE! I also am doing that with mainlines and Premiums I don’t want. A mainline has to be REALLY GOOD LIKE THE Aston Martin Superspeed “semi-fantasy model.
i have been seeing this on my hot wheel facebook group and in the wild. one time i went shopping at my local walmart and niticed something very odd, i noticed color shifters on the pegs. when i took a closer look, i noticed an older year colorshifter on the pegs, low and behold it was the '67 camaro color shifter. sometimes repacking goes to your advantage but 99% its a shitty repack
The Walmart here in Ontario opens at 7am. But that doesn't matter with "repackers". We can't get all of them...but if they do this crap and take everything...not good. Leave some for the kids. I just got into it...I found MY FIRST Super Treasure Hunt. A few months of collecting now. It was the 2024 Hotwheels '96 Nissan 180sx Type X. What a beautiful color and car. Great video.
Love the Peterbilt trucks, I found a black version with Amoco lettering on the side on a flea market last week. I used to have a white and blue wrecker of it when I was still a kid, been trying to find a minty one again.
I hate scalpers as much as the next guy and it really p•sses me off finding the popular new models have disappeared from the pegs as soon as they are put out (if they even make it as far as the pegs), but the problem is that the hobby has become a victim of it’s own success. Some collectors want the new must-have models as soon as they hit, and they don’t mind paying extra. So long as that’s the case these dodgy shenanigans will continue. Unfortunately nothing you can do about human greed. So far as breaking sets goes, I collect the models I like and I won’t leave a model that I want behind, even if I don’t want the whole set. I think that’s fair enough. Not always the most popular JDM car necessarily, just the ones that appeal to me. Even though scalping has really increased here in the UK (I’ve even seen them at work) we haven’t sunk so low as to re-package yet to my knowledge ! Great rant mate 😊
Ever since the year I was born I have collected castings in reverse. Buying stuff from basically the 90's backwards to the 60's. What I didn't buy I inherited from my father's collection who bought them at face value in the 60's, 70's, and 80's. I did the right thing growing up. You can't do that today. Today people are just too greedy.
As a fellow Canadian collector it really is pretty tough sometimes T^T our Walmarts in Ontario aren’t well stocked, at least my local ones, especially with premiums and matchboxes, luckily for me I’ve been expanding to far better brands like Greenlight MiniGT, Tarmac, Autoworld, and other true 1/64 scale brands and Hotwheels and matchbox are taking a back seat for me now. I’ve seen some repackers, and even some premium castings hanging on the pegs with BASIC MATCHBOX wheels, I’ve also had an encounter with GREENLIGHTs where there’s a basic matchbox or Hotwheel in the package XD and the online market is just the worst, I’ve seen $30-50 for a mainline Matchbox Mazda 3, it’s just ridiculous, I collect the Mazda 3 and it sucks to see…
We have that problem here where I live in SW Virginia. Not the repackaging but cleaning out pegs. The Walmart nearest me usually has NO HotWheels with Real Riders on the pegs. I mean that is cases that are being taken for resale and I have seen Diorama sets broken into and 1 of the cars taken and the box left on the shelf.
The dude that went to Walmart and bought all the Acuras and Mazdas is a piece of crud but to me the worse person is the one that buys those cars at crazy inflated prices. If that stopped then the scalpers would stop. I hope the guy that bought all those cars doesn’t sell any and returns them to Walmart in just under three months to get his money back and hopefully they’ll get restocked so real collectors can finally get them.
That nissan is great. I am looking forward to seeing it with different deco on it. You featured the volvo 142 casting on a video. I did fi d it along with the rest of the cars from the run it is with. The Mercedes benz wagon is another winner. I am have seeing a lot of stuff now, staying hanging on the pegs now. I think some of the pricing compared to income now coming to a head. The Mercedes benz 300 sl/ transportor is a peg warmer big time. I do not know why.
I agree I live in Australia 2 hours north of Sydney it’s happening here car swapping for example boulevard no93 Porsche cayman was swapped with mainline 96 Nissan 180sx type x same colour plus it’s hard to get full sets of anything as scalpers are buying certain cars very very frustrating anyway great show
the days when collecting was simpler and hotwheels made cars pretty much for all sorts of enthusiasts such as a mix of racecars, hypercars, muscle cars, etc. there was a balance between each category. now because of these scalpers and all, mattel clearly is focusing on releasing those cars that generates the most cash.
Its the employees sometimes. Same happens in Mexico. They hide the good cars behind other toys not related. Once I found 4 great cars (in an HEB) behind some barbie dolls then put them on the cart and then an employee passed by and kept staring at me and my cart. Look for cars hidden not just in the diecast area.
Congratulations on what you got! Found that Boulevard set, with the exception of the Acura (after checking the 3 Walmarts in my area, got the last Mazda ) At the Walmarts in my area the Mercedes Benz 300SL/Blaues Wunder Team Transport is a shelf warmer
In my area its the employees who are catching on and cracking cases early. We also have someone bending cards of Premiums and some mainlines. Over the last 6 months its been increasingly frustrating to find anything nonfantasy in retail
Here in California, our Walmarts open at 6 am. As far as not finding stuff on the pegs, sometimes it's the employees. When I used to get there at opening, at Walmart or Target, I'd see most of the boxes would've been pre opened, with the most desirable models missing! Love that Barbie C8 Corvette, hope to find one.
I caught an employee at Walmart tell me he'll bring the cars out. Then he said there's no hotwheels delivered. Then, because I needed dog food, which is next to the shipping door, guess what I found open on another pallet, the Hotwheels boxes, I was asking if they had. I've never found an STH, why because employees are scalping.
I am collector my self and I always by 3 of the same kinds that I like. I keep one in my collection I open it, and I post one for sale or exchange with others and 3rd one I keep it for long time and exchange with someone if they have what I am looking for or if someone just want to purchase.
Hoarding and scalpers...as a collector who is only recently getting serious about Hot Wheels (I am a long time collector of comic books, and wish I still had my Hot Wheels from when I was a kid, ya know, the Sweet Sixteen - yes I am an old fart), I am surprised at how barren the pegs are at the local Target. Next closest places for me are 45 minutes each way, so I don't go hunting very often. I have, however been surprised a few times - Last week was in Oregon, and went to two different Fred Meyers (Kroger) for other reasons, and checked the Hot wheels. One of them still had the new First Batmobile on the pegs (didn't buy any as I have 4 already - one to collect, one to display, one to race, and one spare that may be used as a gift or trade, or just kept), while at the other one I found the 2024 Halloween sets. I bought one each of the Halloween cars, but they were missing 1/5, so only have 4 in the set. This was a surprising find. I agree, finding TH and STH on the pegs, and some of the high end ones (Pop Culture is a series I like) is, to put it politely, challenging. And there are a lot of cool mainline cars out there, but I only need at most 2 - one to collect and one to run on tracks. Fortunately, there are not a lot of the TH/STH cars I would be interested in for a given release. The 2024 Batmobile TH is one. Will not find it in the wild. Hopefully my buying it on ebay is not feeding the scalpers, but seriously, I see ebay sellers selling them in bunches at a time. I don't know, maybe when the 2025 cases start getting released, if there are THs I want, and enough other cars in a case to justify buying a case, I may do that, then give away/trade extra cars, or maybe set up a demolition derby track for the abundance of cars. I just don't know. But it comes down to - if I really want a car for my collection, and can't get it on the pegs, how the heck else am I to get it? As for my hobby collections (including comics), I don't plan on selling them, but passing them on to my daughter. Maybe she'll sell them to fund her retirement 50 years from now. I won't be around to see it happen, though. Question - did the scalping phenomenon start with the pandemic and people started doing this as a means to kill time and try and make a few fast bucks? Thanks for sharing your thoughts. PS - most people I know can only afford so many expensive, or even cheap hobbies - and mainly into costuming and Science fiction conventions, not Hot Wheels.
I agree with you 100% old guys like me and you and I'm probably older than you are for sure it grew up with these things started coming out especially Hot Wheels just love them these scalpers people hunting just the treasure hunts and they take the fun of it out but not really for me cuz I like them all and I've kept them all since I was a kid and collected since hang in there dude that's the old guys world falling short
And now where is getting a whole lot harder to find new hot wheels out there at the stores anymore i decided to start collecting duplicates of my favorite hot wheels castings and if I didn't start doing this there would be lots of times i would be going out to the stores and the flea market coming home without anything. So I'm happy and I'm glad i decided to start collecting duplicates of my favorite hot wheels castings.👍
Truth. It's competitive as groups have discords to scour all stores and coordinate where they hide the cars in the store. Some who get alerted by store staff of when to come in. To many people in the aisle at lunch or weekend, early morning and late at night. But most people are looking primarily for JDM or treasure hunts. Everything is left behind.
This happens here in Toronto as well they take the cars and hope to sell them for more also the Walmart here opens at 7 same guy is always there at 7 no matter what day i go
You nailed it right on the head. These “for profit only” collectors are hurting the actual collectors. Of course. If we just stop buying from the secondary market. That might help. I refuse to pay those prices. If I can’t find it I don’t need it. I do trade with some buddies in the hobby. We are always looking out for each other. But none of us will take everything. Most I’ll ever take of one casting is 2. And the repacking is crazy! I’m constantly alerting my stores.
Just something i personally know of happening at a family dollar around me. So this ladie Karen's a manager there, some guy comes through the line one day and tells her how there are things called super treasure hunts and that there worth a while bunch of money.. so now she takes them all out of the boxs in the back before stocking them. If thats not bad enough (keep in mind she is not a collector or even likes the cars). So she has took all of these cars home all year and now they just set because she has no idea what to do with them. Pointless huh😬😄. She doesnt know anything about the hobby and thinks every sth is worth hundreds of dollars.. She told me and my wife this and we just had to hold back and not say much. Its sucks, thats where wed find alot of our supers for our collection (small town honey hole) now ruined because some idiot told a ladie about something she had no business messing with. Makes me think i bet theres hundreds of people taking cars because of the over exaggerated hipe. Obviously this just adds to the issue along with the scalpers. The wanabe scalpers.
I think that's what's going on at my local dollar tree...the past restocks have had no treasure hunts, regular or supers. I could always find a regular treasure hunt on every restock, now...nope. I think one of the employees are taking them
I had a KayBees store the Assist. Mgr did that. To the point she would tell you "I got 4 cases in, but haven't had a chance to go thru them yet. Come back around dinner time" She mainly went after the TH when they had the green stripe. Maybe a hot car if you "Pre-ordered" it. She did it with Star Wars 23?, Luke w/bloody stump & Ephont Man in the Big pkg. When KB announced they were closing, I told her " Too bad. Looks like your outta business. Toys r Us already knows about you. .😀 ...So Good luck" 👋 🚶💭Charma!
Sadly all the scalping community will do is root out a few castings and make them "elite". Here in the UK, that would be Ford Escorts, Ford Sierras, Ford Capris, Datsun 510s, Nissan R34s and Toyota Supra Mk4s...
I get what your saying 🤔 I don’t collect every boulevard or premium only the ones i like . Out of that Boulevard set the only car i want is that mazda 👀 Got a seller in the UK who has it over £20 it will be one of those cars I will not find in the shops . I bought mine from an online model shop and paid way less than that . I’m stepping away from eBay that’s where most of the scalpers are . Check out your local online hobby shops you may get the models you want cheaper . Lol i had that tank when i was a nipper . Just bought myself one of those Audis and I’ve just got a Nissan primara loose awsome cast love that 1 😀
The Porsche should have a 68 sticker on the hood ...an when its in good shape rolls like a dream. The myers manx is a old casting but this may be a newer version im not sure ..i have a 2005 carded mainline myers manx an it has no top so maybe this is a new version .
None of what you are speaking of is new. It’s not about collecting as a hobby anymore, it’s about money. There are folks who drive all day to various stores to grab only the high value ones.
“The Meyers Manx is a fiberglass body designed by Bruce Meyers in 1964. It was manufactured to be mounted on a VW Bug Chassis that was shortened by between 14 and 15 inches.”
Same thing is happening in Australia. I've been collecting since 2007 and kept to myself. I don't know anyone in my area who collects and I'm happy to do it alone. But I've noticed more and more there is ALWAYS 1 car missing from a set. Maybe hotwheels should stop making the Japanese cars and go back to muscle cars because it's only gotten to this ridiculous point since the Japanese cars came out more. I'm so sick of these assholes ruining this hobby for a couple of dollars. It's getting to the point of not collecting, because I used to have fun coming across hard to find cars but now they don't exist. It's really not enjoyable especially when market place has scalping scum selling cars I want. But fuck them,I've never bought any online and never will. I hope it settles down a bit.
Not every collector buys the whole set. But every scalper will take all of the hot cars.
I think the only way to stop this craziness is too flood the market with diecast to the point where everything is a peg warmer. Lol
That's why I am glad they keep putting out R34s, it will over saturate the market and let true collectors get them.
That's similar to what's been happening with the sneaker market funnily enough lol
Then literally nothing would be on the shelf, or wouldn’t even make it off the pallet.
Isn't the market pretty much saturated already.!???HW, MBX, Gl, Aw, JL, pop race,MiniGT, tomica, M2, GCD,, Majorette, maisto....and many more. Some collectors believe it or not...collect from all those brands and more. 😂

I stay out of the premium game. I only collect mainlines. They are cheap to buy, not worth anything, and I open them if I want.

Yes, on the Batman van and the Barbie Corvette hell yeah!
I agree, I started collecting around 1998 back before Ebay was big and I had to compete against the scalpers, Times have sure changed.
Canadian tire is a good place too at times to get items
Yes old stock

No truer statement has been sid in the diecast community.
New sub.
I hit the same walmart everyday at opening.
🤮 👍✌️. NJ 👿
We have it bad here. For sure
Speaking the truth! The scalper even works at these places that sell diecasts. Such a shame
Very informative video.. two thumbs up 😎👍🏾👍🏾 hope to meet at the hot wheels collectors convention here in Los Angeles. 🇵🇭😎👍🏾
Thank you, and welcome to the channel
collectors like you are rare. no question in my mind you are 100% collector. Money and greed ruins most everything. this is the modern world.
I have seen quiet often in the stores I go into people are removing the castings from the package and leaving the package in the store , not cool
I like how you display your castings and show us your castings .Great work
Thank you and welcome
First, love your videos! Keep them coming. A couple of years ago, I decided to get a subscription, and I get a basic case, boulevards, and Car Culture sealed cases when they come out. Like everyone else got tired of not finding things. Don't have the time to play their game.
Not a Barbie fan , but that vette looks pretty darned good!😊
It is the same way around here where I live scalpers are only taking certain cars from sets to go sell on eBay to make money and leave everything else at the stores and people around here do repackage stuff with other cars to return to the store to get they're money back and people are stealing stuff also and just leaving the empty packages there without even paying for them and it is definitely getting a whole lot harder to find new hot wheels out there at the stores i went to this one Target the other day and the pegs were completely empty no hot wheels at all and all none of the stores in my area isn't getting that much new hot wheels in anymore not like they used to and some of my local stores went backwards and put out old hot wheels from last year.
That Pantera is awesome and the bat man / A team van.
a lot of walmarts actually open at 7 o'clock
All of my local Walmart open at 6am.
Sure it wasn’t the store employee’s? Think about it, store opens at 8:00 and you get there at 8:10?
Employees can’t buy product on shift I’ve heard they need to wait 24 hours
@@MakeGunsFunForEveryonedoesn’t mean they can’t hide it though…
It’s a problem here in CT too.
Hardly ever find complete sets unless the whole set is less desirable cars
I'm d9ne with hot wheels going with kaido house. Too many scalpers out there
EXCELLENT CHOICE! I also am doing that with mainlines and Premiums I don’t want. A mainline has to be REALLY GOOD LIKE THE Aston Martin Superspeed “semi-fantasy model.
Main reason i left the collecting scene. I've been collecting hws since 2009, slowly moving on to Tamiya's RCs which are much fun in the long run.
i have been seeing this on my hot wheel facebook group and in the wild. one time i went shopping at my local walmart and niticed something very odd, i noticed color shifters on the pegs. when i took a closer look, i noticed an older year colorshifter on the pegs, low and behold it was the '67 camaro color shifter. sometimes repacking goes to your advantage but 99% its a shitty repack
Started collecting again after 20 yrs or so when my kid got into HW and holy shit the scalpers and repackers are wild!!!
they post the pictures with their phones on ebay or amazon while they hide the cars behind some other toy
There are plenty of jdm collectors who aren’t scalpers/resellers who just buy everything. I personally just want the pantera.
If you don't have escape plans after murdering them like me, you don't hate them enough!
Love these presentations of yours,do you open all cars? And do you keep the packaging ?
Yes, I open everything, and I am starting to get rid of the cards. They take too much space, "the cards".
That Astro Van is awesome ‼️‼️I grabbed 2 one to put in a container and the worst carded to display. I would have to say best looking of the year
That nissan is great.
8:54 I also had one as a kid.
Wow this sounds just like baseball, basketball and football cards. Same exact thing
Congratulations on what you got!
Found that Boulevard set, with the exception of the Acura (after checking the 3 Walmarts in my area, got the last Mazda )
At the Walmarts in my area the Mercedes Benz 300SL/Blaues Wunder Team Transport is a shelf warmer
Scalpers suck. Repackers are worse. & I gotta get 2 off them Barbie cars.
Same thing happen at my walmart. Plus, they left a bunch of emptied cards just setting out on the shelf ripped open.
The super van is this best in the set imo. Luckily my brother found me one.
In my area its the employees who are catching on and cracking cases early. We also have someone bending cards of Premiums and some mainlines. Over the last 6 months its been increasingly frustrating to find anything nonfantasy in retail
Nah you hit the nail on the head with that rant man, scalpers suck the fun out of this hobby :(
Glad you still found some cool stuff though!
We rarely find STH or TH but it doesn't bother me because I know how it is i love those matchbox tankers and awesome finds
Rant is valid
Yes I would say most of this started from the pandemic
What do u use for your display shelves?

I agree with you 100% old guys like me and you and I'm probably older than you are for sure it grew up with these things started coming out especially Hot Wheels just love them these scalpers people hunting just the treasure hunts and they take the fun of it out but not really for me cuz I like them all and I've kept them all since I was a kid and collected since hang in there dude that's the old guys world falling short
Im liking that blue or teal liberty walk transport.. truck and car
That last one was my favorite followed by the MBX trucks.
Yup. Just prepare for the new landscape in this hobby
I agree, but this repacking is an all-time low. These guys are the bottom of the food chain Walter and make the rest of us good guys look bad.
On the other hand, I love your channel. I have been subscribed for a while. Keep up the good work.
My guess it's the employees.
This happens here in Toronto as well
they take the cars and hope to sell them for more
also the Walmart here opens at 7
same guy is always there at 7
no matter what day i go
Great cars. Must find the pantera, barbie vette, batvan, and the vette pair.
Strange that the benz team transport is a peg warmer here in winnipeg.
I seen repacking at Target alot 😢 it's a shame
Bent cards everywhere. Mainlines are even getting hard to find in good card condition.
That sucks too
You nailed it right on the head.
I think one of the employees are taking them
Remember Hot Wheels sth & th are manufactured scarcity
Same thing happened to me years ago at 5 below
I had a KayBees store the Assist. Mgr did that. To the point she would tell you "I got 4 cases in, but haven't had a chance to go thru them yet. Come back around dinner time" She mainly went after the TH when they had the green stripe. Maybe a hot car if you "Pre-ordered" it. She did it with Star Wars 23?, Luke w/bloody stump & Ephont Man in the Big pkg. When KB announced they were closing, I told her " Too bad. Looks like your outta business. Toys r Us already knows about you. .😀 ...So Good luck" 👋
🚶💭Charma!
That’s why I collect vintage, no racing to Walmart, no falling for their marketing. Not cheap though, I save a fortune not buying new releases
Elementary my dear Watson. Stop making treasure hunts. That will certainly slow down the scalpers business.
The myers manx is a old casting but this may be a newer version im not sure ..i have a 2005 carded mainline myers manx
an it has no top so maybe this is a new version .
These hit my Walmart yesterday. No Porsche. Theft and repack is out of control. Saw a M2 replaced with a HW main line.
that pantera is one of my dream cars, so i dont mind if the scalpers leave it behind coz ill grab one :)
it's been going on for years, I have barely bought anything for 2 years. I stick with the basic mainlines and the even that's rough for collecting.
None of what you are speaking of is new. It’s not about collecting as a hobby anymore, it’s about money. There are folks who drive all day to various stores to grab only the high value ones.
What brand are your display cases? Also where did you purchase them? Need some to display my collection in the garage! Thanks!

I need that Barbie, Batman and new Boulevard set.
Hi, first of all love your channel, I’m from the uk and scalpers are rife, boils my piss 😢
