The Mini GT offers the best bang for the buck. Side-mirrors, inserted head/tail-lights, correct looking wheels, rolls, and has a nice metallic blue paint.
I love the look and the stance of the Innos but I understand not rolling is a deal breaker for many collectors. The Mini GT is of course gorgeous but doesn’t have much pizzaz. Now, if it had RLC spectra-flame paint it would blow the others away! Great vid, Phil. Keep the quality content coming! 👍
NO64 and Mini GT. I will give the Mini GT the "W' cause it rolls. Hotwheels is close second. The door gap hurts Tomica a lot for me. Johnny Lightning is to scale, but the wheels is a no-no! Green Light I was very disappointed in. I think they could do better.
MDC, this is a great video series you're starting. It would be great to showcase some of the highly overrated HW castings (JDM, Euro, basically the stuff that the scalpers/resellers/hoarders take immediately) vs. the other brands. HW are perfectly fine at their MSRP but they are absolutely NOT worth a resale premium. For this particular video, the clear winner is the Mini GT.
I collect toy cars like Hot Wheels, Majorette etcetera. The expensive model cars are surly a lot better. The Tomica is the most detailed for my liking. The cheaper cars just make me feel good.😅
Tomica has 3 levels: Tomica, Tomica Premium & Tomica Limited Vintage. I only buy TLV and when you see their cars, you'll understand what true 1/64 is. Phil's Tomica is a Premium which either has opening doors or hoods but they're made for kids. Lol.
Like you I also have a large diecast collection with alot of the same r34s ... I would say inno64 is the most realistic... but my favorite would definitely be the hot wheels blue rlc and my convention r34 .. the blue one has better engine details ... but since rlc stopped numbering cars for the most part and production numbers seem to climb every year my current favorite brand is kaidohouse the black limited imparticular only producing around 300 each one signed and numbered kaido does it right!
A great scientific endeavour! What is there to look at?? I collect 1/18 models and im puzzled to know what is there to look at at such a tiny little car!! I stopped collecting these shitty little cars because the flaws and quality control by the brands is shocking , for such a small scale they cant even get that right! Buy yourself a beautiful cmc, exoto, other great brands 1/18 model , you will never buy this cartoonish crap again!
Sorry to hear that, but I work at a diecast store and the quality of the 1/18 suck as well. They have all gone to shit. And I would rather display thousands of 1/64 over 100 1/18 any day, but to each their opinion.

Mni gt for me hands down . Best model for the price

They are all wonderful, but I have to admit that Hot Wheels is special. It's a shame that here in Brasil, any of these models are very expensive.
Inno quality is definetely better for this casting imo. THE thing that throw me off with HW are the wheels configuration.
Great idea for a video maybe do some other castings I was doing it earlier with the hurican
For me, it's between the mini gt and the tomica. The suspension and opening doors might just beat out the rear defroster.

Yes I love the N O 64 version. It is beautiful. I have a real Nissan that I'm doing up with the help of my sister's. Looking forward to driving it.
Sweet!!!

I have the tlv ferrari line up. They are nice, but beyond that, I have not been interested in collecting the tlv line of anything else.
Hot Wheels RLC for me. I love the paint, wheels and engine detail.

Inno by far is the best mini GT a close second. Hotwheels is nice dont like the wheels
Dollar Hot Wheels takes the cake and wins the race 😂🎉
I think you forgot about PGM models
I didn't forget I only own a ferrari by them, I do not collect all brands.
And motorhelix R34, and Time Micro R34.
Mini gt...but put hot wheels paint on it
I'm still not a big fan of Pearl Harbor Hirohito family cars. Family still active. 😮
$1 ♤♡◇♧ Hot Wheels car Wins . All I need. WE all have our own Strategy. Corvettes are my go to car. 😊
INNO IS SWEET! But HW RLC is Best for overall bang for the buck!
The other brands don't roll well. They may look good on camera due to the fancy paint job but they have basically no roll functionality.
MiniGT\Kaidohouse roll perfect, look better, and is half the price of an RLC.
Rlc paint is awsome though
Inno 64 looks the part
And the mini gt is pretty cool .
But for me Hotwheels is 👑
👍😀
Hot wheels.
