The new LLs and their new abilities really make us rethink the game, even if it's mostly the same stats. Sauruman with that lightning forcing the enemy to spread out is wild. That's going to be so much harder for horde factions, especially when they're forced to deploy close together like Maelstrom
Gandalf always used to counter Saruman, even in last edition. Fortify Spirit was insane vs casters. But Saruman was better in most other situations, and Gandalf was overcosted, which meant Saruman was played a lot more.
