  • Something a little different to usual this week - here’s a collection of my initial thoughts and experiences with the ‪@MilwaukeeTool‬ M12 press!
Have a watch, let me know your thoughts in the comments in Press.
    Are you a solder purist?
Is it worth the initial outlay cost?
    Love to hear your thoughts!

    Love the enthusiasm buddy!!
Yeah I’m a soldering guy at heart ❤ …………. however at the beginning of the year and with my scrap money from the annual Christmas weigh in burning a hole in my pocket I took the plunge and bought a Rigid RP115 M profile - OMG ! Who knew pressing could be that much fun, I found myself sadly at every opportunity pressing 15mm bits of copper with various couplings and elbows.
Not that you need any tips from me, as I always find looking at your vids inspires me to become a better plumber- but Pegasus fittings are brilliant, very reasonable and comes with green plastic film which helps jaws from sticking to fittings and also asan indicating it’s been pressed.
I always put horizontal line on the fittings as well as the depth mark you make, just in case there’s issue later on down the road.
Top vid as always my friend 😬👍

@@mrpirrezz7474 thank you for your kind words! The minute I used this I knew I had to save for one - I’m really tempted to get the Ridgid RP115 but the lack of angled jaws and M in 28mm deters me! What’s it like without the angled jaws??
I was the same, pressing things for fun when I had this for 2 weeks then you remember the cost of the fittings 😂
I’ll definitely check those Pegasus ones out when I get a gun! Where do you get them from?

I’ve seen another TH-camr vid at the Rigid stand in installer this year, he I knows uses the RP115 and asked the question about the additional tight space jaws, apparently there coming how soon I can’t comment.
I personally get my fittings from an independent plumbing merchants close to where I’m based - Pryces in Lowestoft, but they are readily available online.
You’re a bigger fish than me, I’m a tin pot one man band, and domestic is all I do.
I’m a massive Milwaukee fan, but I decided the 115 was the right one for me, lifetime warranty was and is peace of mind, but I get why you have chosen the Milwaukee it’s a very nice piece of kit.
Novopress ACO103 is the same as the Milwaukee except for the Bluetooth function which basically counts the number of presses I believe - Milwaukee although the same as 103 is better looking 😬👍

@@mrpirrezz7474 oh no, I haven’t got one yet, Milwaukee loaned me this to trial!
I didn’t know the 115 had a lifetime guarantee though!
I also interviewed them at installer show (check it out on my channel - love to have your feedback!) and they did say the jaws are coming, but they also said they’ve been told that for 3 years 😂! Any update @ridgid_tools @ridgidtoolshop ?
Don’t sell yourself short! I’m the same as you, one man band by myself - and we’re definitely not tin pot!
I have a friend who lives in Lowestoft! He’s a plumber too!

    Use a depth gauge
Can't use gas fittings on water

@@jamesmillar4815 good info, as I say, didn’t know as this was my first experience with press. I know you can get Aquagas ones suitable for both can’t you?

Isn't it colour codeed that yellow seals in the press fittings indicate gas only?
I'm still surprised that pipes in the house aren't colour coded.
That tool will be worth the investment

@@mrt864 a lovely tool, you have to change your way of working a bit as sometimes you need to make pipework up before putting it in place because the tool won’t fit - angled jaws will help with this! - but once you get the hang of it, definite time saver!
That’s right, the yellow o ring inside signifies gas, and most of the gas fittings also have a yellow stamp. You can get aqua gas fittings which are suitable for both. Any merchants I’ve spoken to, can’t tell me the difference in the o rings as to why they’re gas or water other than the colour! The gentleman above said you can’t use gas on water but I may contact a couple of manufacturers and confirm!
