    My family and I stayed here last yr. Enjoyed everything about it. Clean and very tropical. Enjoyed the pools. Coming back this summer.

      Have a great trip! And, I feel the same! I will be posting a video to help viewers choose which Orlando vacation club they should book. This one has been a guaranteed great time for us year after year. I wish I was going back sooner! Thanks for your comment!

    Great review, great memories. Been here several times over 23 years. Seen some changes (reception, market place, room revamps, play areas), generally all good. Location is brilliant for access to WDW/Universal/Seaworld etc. The resort is always clean looking. Like anywhere, some staff are really good quality and some are really poor.

    Thank you for this. We'll be staying here in January 2022 for a week. I need to navigate getting to the Disney Parks and Disney Springs from here.

      I’m going in January 2022 as well. My hubs and I will have a rental car but I’m undecided if that will be the best option for getting to the parks.

    Been an owner here since 1982 so, I’m probably one of the oldest remaining. Great overview of the property. If you ever need any details about the resort or its history feel free to inquire.

    Hi there! We have an upcoming trip here and was wondering if you’d recommend the Falls area or Fountains for our family group going. Kids age range 1-10. TIA!

      HI Scott,
      It all come down to your personal preference. I, personally, would request to be near the Falls area. I would actually request Courts Building 24 or 25. These building are close to the Falls pool, too. Here is some info you should know.. The Falls area are all 2-story with no elevator. They look like older apartments from the outside- you may feel disappointed when you drive up. That said, they have been renovated within the last 4 years. If your kids are going to want to go to the water slide, splash pad, and have easy access to the craft activities, this is a great place to be. You are also closer to the mini golf, marketplace, etc. You can also get to the main pool via a quick walk for change of scenery. On the contrary, The Fountains area was just renovated and does have elevators. It is more peaceful and upscale here, and there is a nice park but no waterslide just less action (They do usually have the nighttime swim-in movies here). There is also a bar/restaurant here, but the arcade and escape room are STILL closed (these are the only facilities still closed). Your kids may too young for this anyway. Also, remember that this area is separated from the rest of the resort with a public road. You sacrifice some fun and convenience at the Fountains Area, IMO. You don't get the same experience. But, it all comes down to your personal preference. The entire resort is fantastic and surroundings are lush. If you are visiting during a high demand period, you will need to get your chair at the Falls pool early- it is a bit crazier than other resort pools since all people with little kids want to be at that pool. You can access the resort map with the link below to see the building numbers. When you place a request, I would try to be specific with you building number and give them a few in order of preference. They are usually accommodating.

      I hope this helps and have a wonderful trip!

    Jeannie, we are going May 14-20th. We have a partially vaccinated party. Do you have any pool areas to recommend for those of us who are looking to stay away from crowds but want to be poolside during the middle of the day?

    • @TravelJeannie
      @TravelJeannie  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Amanda, Thanks for your questions. There are 2 pool areas I would suggest: The Springs pool and the Lakes pool. The Springs pool is located in the main hotel section but at the edge of the resort and less likely to draw crowds since there is no real focal point there (no restaurant/grill/slides/waterfall). The Lakes Pool, on the other hand, is in the second major resort section (you cross meadow creek drive to get there). If some people in your group want to go to the waterslides or zimmies/hottub in that first main section, this will be a bit of a walk). Again, no real attractions at the Lakes pool but surrounded by a lake on three sides so very pretty if you are spending the day poolside. It is, however, close to a busier pool called the Fountains pool (waterfall and food service draws some crowds). The busiest area is the "superpool/courts/falls" pool area located in the middle of the resort so you may want to avoid this area. Also, FYI..the Cascades (main pool shown in resort literature) is slated for renovation when you are visiting and that may push guests to that crowded "Superpool" area. It is possible the renovations will be completed so fingers crossed for that. I know you will have a great time! Thanks and please let me know if you have any other questions! Happy Travels!

    Does this hotel offer transportation to the Disney parks???

    • @TravelJeannie
      @TravelJeannie  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your questions..Yes, but there is a charge. It is $10 per person round trip and provided by an outside company called maingate. I believe that Sheraton Vistana used to be part of the Disney "Good Neighbor" Program but not anymore. I would call the hotel at this number to get the most up to date shuttle schedule and also inquire about the shuttles reliability. Vistana Resort Villas Phone Number: 407-239-3100
      If you want a hotel with Disney perks without paying on property prices, you may want to check out this site which lists all the Good Neighbor Hotels and what perks they offer.

    Heaven on Earth. Been there only four times, but looking forward to going again Aug of '21. Everything about this place is relaxing and I love that everything is within walking distance. Dive-in Movie is always awesome and the Karaoke is a blast. The kids game room is great for when it rains, as is the indoor-outdoor bar/restaurants. And check-in is really quick and easy. Always amazed at that. No need for a vehicle, or trips to Disney (Save the $600 or so per day) where you'll spend 95% of your time walking and standing on lines for Everything. Why? Just grab a lounge chair by one of the pools, check the sun location and direction of movement. Take a book or two, as well as some cold drinks, and you're set for the day! Gets too hot- walk 4 feet into the pool. How hard is that? If you happen to be down there in mid-August; I'll be the one singing some Broadway tunes; especially Music of the Night! Come over and say hi!

      My kids are the same way. Anytime we go to theme parks the kids just want to go back to the hotel and swim. I just don’t like staying at nice resorts and not even being able to enjoy the amenities because I feel locked down with the park tickets. But we will be going here for my son‘s birthday in August and not have the part tickets. It feels so good to not have to worry about that.

    HI,
    I received a comment asking if the fitness centers were open as of May 12, 2021...Currently, the "Cascasdes" fitness center is CLOSED but the "Spas" and "Fountains" fitness centers are OPEN (with distancing). At any time, you can cut and paste the following link to your browser to view the current status of most resort pools and amenities: whattoexpect.marriott.com/mcovs
