I am scared to become lukewarm. It is so hard for me to share to the gospel. I feel that I always fail the Lord and am inconsistent. I feel like I have no purpose and I don’t know what my life is. I need Jesus. I am in a season where I just don’t know what to do next.
Hey Lydia Saw your comment and just thought i could offer some help. I just want you to know that I've recently experienced some of these same feelings in my walk with God as well. The first thing i want you to know is the fact that your concerned about being lukewarm is already a good sign, and it sounds like your pursuing the Lord which you wouldn't be doing if you were lukewarm. You said that its hard for you to share the gospel and i can agree but you got to rember the truth that when we share the gospel its not us doing it its the Lord working through us with the Holy Spirit, you may worry about saying the wrong the or messing it up but remember that the Lord is doing the work and you need to trust in that, Remember Luke 11:12 “When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.” This can also be applied to sharing the gospel. When it comes to feeling like you always fail the lord watch the ask pastor johns on "is God angry at me when i sin?", "I know God loves me but does he like me?", and "Does God regret making me" I found them helpful in that I can identify with the feeling of not knowing what to do next, especially in the season of Covid and lockdowns but remember Ephesians 2:10 "For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." God already has them all he wants for you in this walk set out for you, you just need to walk with him, lastly remember Matthew 11:28-30 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Idk if you know what a yoke is, but pretty much it was a piece off wood used by oxen to pull heavy loads. If your walking with Jesus the "yoke is easy and the burden is light" Because Jesus is doing and has done the heavy work for us and we need to just lean into Him. (also just remembered Proverbs 3:5-6 it also applies to this) Hope this was of some help! :)
Praying you keep on seeking the Lord with all your heart. Watch and listen to many of Pastor John’s sermons and podcasts, keep on asking God to transform you, renewing you in Him. When you earnestly seek Him believe me He will answer. Don’t give up sister, God knows exactly where you are, keep trusting. In the Holy and precious name of Christ Jesus I pray 🙏🏻
Thank you guys for the help! I’m a student, and I have such a fear of sharing the Gospel at school. One of the hardest things for me is fearing men. Which I know is sin, because we are to fear God not man, also we are NOT be seeking the approval of man, but of God. And it’s brought great conviction to me, to the point where I’m doubting my salvation because it seems like the sin is dominating me.
Pastor John made a really good point on the last part of the video. A true Holy Spirit filled born again Christian has an undying love for Jesus(Ephesians 6:24)and His Spirit helps us endure until the end(Philippians 1:6). Lukewarm Christians were never really born again to begin with.
One of my biggest fears is becoming too complacent/comfortable and ending up as a lukewarm Christian. I want to continue to be on fire for the Lord & keep fanning the flame as Paul mentions 🙏🏼 🔥💛 God bless you Pastor John. Thank you for this message, it has blessed me greatly. ❤️
I'm scared about being lukewarm. i try to pray a lot and read the word and I'm asking God for zeal and passion for His desires and His ways but I don't feel it very much. I want to change, and I know I must trust God but I'm scared. I don't want to be spit out of His mouth.
There is no fear in love but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. 1 John 4:18 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. 1 John 2:5 Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the Lord? 1 Samuel 15:22
Hey pal, I recently went through what seems to be a similar situation as you and i just want you to know that if your putting your trust in Jesus as your salvation you need not fear. You can look at yourself all day long and see all the way you fall short, but your salvation is not based on what you do but on what Christ has done. Here are some verses that i hope can give you some assurance, Philipians 1:6 "being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." John6:37 "All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away." Along with this I'm glad that your acknowledging your need to trust God, its something I'm struggling with too, but we need to trust in Him and His promises, he is our Rock. You say your asking God for zeal and passion for his desires, it sounds like your really after Fruit of the Spirit and that's awesome! Remember that the branch cannot produce fruit on its own but must abide with the vine, Jesus is the vine and we are the branches, he produces the fruit and we bear it (don't get that mixed up) also read John 15 for more. Also patience is a fruit of the spirit and God might be helping you out with that right now, so take heart even if it seems like its taking God to work, his time is perfect. Lastly it sounds like you are overburdened friend, remember what Jesus says in Matthew 11:28-30 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” or how about 1 Peter 5:7 "cast all your anxieties on him because he cares for you" Or here's a promise I think you need Psalms 9:10 "Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have NEVER forsaken those who seek you" and Psalm 55:22 "cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken." and finally the verse i think is an absolute gut wrencher Isaiah 49:15-16 "Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me." recommend

And for the Christian, there’s nothing you can do about it. Just keep on “lovin’ and praising’ the Lord” 😒
@@mellyperez1522 well it's not only you my friend who struggles with this, the world can be a nice or a cruel place. To the He controls everything and he could fix everything, it's a matter of us being able to have free will and also being able to love. If God controlled everything where whenever something bad is gonna happen like when some1 pushed another person to make the victim slip and break his arm, fir example making the ground soft at that moment, then no one actually has free will cause no1 can exercise it in any way. The reason Evil is possible at all is because if it wasnt no one would be able to love at all(except God who exists in a relationship with himself). You see God creates the possibility for some1 to perform Evil, wether we decide to do it or not is our free will. If God did not allow that we wouldnt be able to Express emotions for example, in that world where God doesnt allow evil to happen is the world where we wouldnt be able to understand love, kindness, friendship and so on. (If you dont understand I can try explaining again) basically for a lack of a better term robots. Programmed to act the way we were programmed. Now this is the question you ask basically. Why does God allow evil to exist/happen if he truly is God of love? Well pastor voddie(I dont know if this is the correct spelling) answers this question with another question. I do evil, you do evil, we all do evil. So you should ask me why does God allow me to sleep at night in peace or why does he allow me to have a great day if he is a God os love? You see same question kind of rephrased answers itself because God is God of love he allows us evil beings to exist, that shows you his willingness to wait for you to come back to him. And many fail to understand the fact that mankind chose to refuse God's way and wanted his own way, you see where it lead us? And many also seem to forget that God flowed the greatest Evil to happen that's the murder of Jesus. Literally that 1 innocent person of all sin who came to call everyone to Gods kingdom was killed. But that evil act caused the world to have a chance of Eternal life. At this point I dont rmmbr most of what I wrote so it kind of is a mess. Sorry. The part about he still commands to 'love me' is actually a good thing. God wants the best thing for you, the best thing that exists is God himself so he tell you to love him for your benefit. If you insult God he wont be less of a God, if you glorify him he wont increase in his power, if you remain neutral and forget him God will be God no matter what, you see he doesnt need us to be God but we need him to be human. People committing horrible crimes are being less human. God orders you to worship and love him because it helps you not him. Now this was long so let me just tell you this one thing. Go read last chapters of revelation. You will see that that is the begening not the end of our lives. This whole history of man kind is just the process to get us there. You see we had to know and experience what it's like to have evil inorder for us not to choose it. Satan fell because he had no experience of what it's like to be without God and to be on your own, we fell because of same reason including satan lying to get us away from God. Now we experienced what a horrible place it is without God and we now ling for him, once we get to heaven after this experience we wont be robots with no free will who cant choose evil or good we will be fully human and embrace good and deny evil because we know how that turned out. God is not like am here and dont care wether you come or not I command you to do so if u dont go to hell. It's like this we are heading to hell and God is telling us to trust in the saviour and live him that way you can escape hell. It's like if you were hanging from a cliff with gold tucked in your pants and God tells you to grab bis hand but inorder to do that u have to let go of the gold. When u let go of sin and grab his hand u are saved. Read the story of the prodigal son in the bible and also the story of the shepherd and the 99 sheep, ull find them in the same area, You will see how God really wants you to come back to him after that. Hope this helped.
@@Charles.Wright thank you bro, im really struggling to understand if I truly love God. My heart wants to cling onto things of this earth so bad, please pray for me.
As someone who's only recently been reborn I can put myself in this category of Lukewarm and and also trying to Love God more than myself, I've lived a selfish wicked life with God in the background, it's hard turning that around but it's important to admit those thoughts to God and ask him to open up your heart so that you can love him more, tell him you want to get to know him. Reading the bible daily is a great way since it's God's word, you talk to him in prayer and he talks to you in the bible, it's a great way to strengthen that relationship. Think about it, this is how it works with people too, by talking and also listening. Fasting for a full day can also make you feel closer to God and more appreciative for simple blessing like food and such. Hope this helps :)
@@StallionFernando thanks, ive been doing way better recently. I do believe I love God, I still got some ways to go to getting closer. But I like your recommendations 🤟 Also nice profile naruto is my favorite show.
I know I am , I gave up a long time, so it doesn't matter to me I know I'm going to hell and I know I'm going to be rejected because I never knew him, listen we are in the end days it's to late for me.
Its never too late friend, idk way you "gave up" but i want you to know that you can turn back at any time like the prodigal son and be received not with a lecture and a wagging of the finger but with joy and love from God, like the father literally threw a party for the son (Luke 15:11-32 if you want to read it). Know that the Lord will embrace you with open hands upon your return friend, and I hope you will return to Him. If God can change the heart of Paul and bring him to the Lord he can do the same to you! Paul later wrote in 1 Timothy 1:15 "The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost." I'm not sure why you fell away but id pray that you'd come back to the Lord. No matter where you are, no matter what you've done, Gods ready to meet you where you are at, He doesn't require you to come to Him righteous and clean (because nobody can do that ) He's the one who cleans us and makes us worthy, not us. Lastly remember what Jesus said Luke 5:32 "I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance." and John 3:17 "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." Come back friend, I hope this was encouraging to you, at least give this some thought.
The problem is not that it's too late for you, the problem is that you won't let your idols go. It can be hard but there are NO SHORTCUTS But there is a promise in Mark 10:29, and the question is do you believe God? Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields-along with persecutions-and in the age to come eternal life.

How do I know if I love God/Jesus?
There is a lot of criteria in the book of 1 John. Check it out!
But I like your recommendations 🤟
Also nice profile naruto is my favorite show.
I know I am , I gave up a long time, so it doesn't matter to me I know I'm going to hell and I know I'm going to be rejected because I never knew him, listen we are in the end days it's to late for me.
Today is the day of salvation. If you hear his voice do not harden your heart. Repent and turn to Him. He will be merciful as His Word says.
Paul later wrote in 1 Timothy 1:15 "The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost."
I'm not sure why you fell away but id pray that you'd come back to the Lord. No matter where you are, no matter what you've done, Gods ready to meet you where you are at, He doesn't require you to come to Him righteous and clean (because nobody can do that ) He's the one who cleans us and makes us worthy, not us. Lastly remember what Jesus said Luke 5:32 "I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."
and John 3:17 "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."
Come back friend, I hope this was encouraging to you, at least give this some thought.
Wow thanks, I always believed I was like the prodigal son, gone astray and never return because of my sins.
@@tifa00511 well friend you can return, and know the Lord is waiting with open arms
The problem is not that it's too late for you, the problem is that you won't let your idols go.
It can be hard but there are NO SHORTCUTS
But there is a promise in Mark 10:29, and the question is do you believe God?
Truly I tell you,” Jesus replied, “no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age: homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields-along with persecutions-and in the age to come eternal life.
