  • This is episode 1 of my 2024 adventure in Namibia. With my family and friends I spent 3 wonderful weeks in the south all camping in the most beautiful lodges and campsites. This episode starts from Cape Town where we collected our cars. The distance between Cape Town and theSouth African border is quite a lot so having time available we made the first stop at Lambert's Bay on the coast and then we continued to the wonderful Namaqua National Park where we spent two fantastic nights. Once we crossed the border, we spent the night in a camp located on the bank of the Orange River - Amanzi Campsite - and the next day we continued to another spectacular camp - Cañon Roadhouse - near Fish River Canyon, a canyon considered the second largest canyon in the world.

Fish River Cañon was formed by seismic activity, tectonic plate shift, rather than erosion. The tourism info is all wrong.

Thanks for the clarification. Yes, it's difficult to find accurate information on the guide books. Hope you enjoyed watching this video. The next video is almost ready. Don't miss it....
