My daughter is 3 almost 4 months and she also has Laryngomalacia. Every symptom you said she has my daughter also has. But it has gotten much better. She struggled nursing to where I had to lay her down to nurse her because she would choke but it has gotten so much clearer. You touched on every symptom even some I didn’t realize my daughter has until you said like the drooling and tongue poking out. Scary at first but it will get better!
Another laryngomalacia mama here! Our pediatrician had our daughter scoped to rule out cyst or birth mark that could grow and hinder breathing. I still have the video tape of it showing the larynx closing on itself. She would sound terrible when she got excited or upset. It actually is the reason that we kept her on her paci longer than we did with our son. He was off at 6 months, she used it till probably 16 months. Thankfully, yes they grow out of it quickly. She's 22 now and you would never know. The scoping process was not my favorite, mostly because she couldn't eat or drink the morning of and then it was delayed. Try telling a 4 month old they can't eat...not fun.
Poor Iris, you both knew that she was presenting symptoms, parent intuition. The one single thing i can recommend is shared reading, and story time, it will help enormously with words, sounds, and how books work, and most of all, so much fun. We read to our son from birth, and he developed such a love of story time, books, we didnt know that he had Autism at birth, but even so, he has become a great public reader, enjoyed chapter books, and growing in confidence. I couldn't recommend enough, and they are great travel buddies too
My 6 yr old had it to and would pass out it was terrifying right before first birthday was the last episode of fainting my little guy also had reflux. My son stopped breathing an hr after birth and was in the nicu. The weezing was scary too.
My son had broncho and laryngomalasia. Sooo soo scary at first. He ended up growing out of it after his first birthday. When he took a deep breath, cried, or laughed. It almost sounded like a croupy bark when he inhaled. He is 17 now! No issues!
If they haven’t done a scope in her throat to be sure I would highly recommend! We were told our daughter had that but didn’t feel comfortable with the diagnosis and finally took her to the ER and insisted they check her to make sure and it ended up being a cyst in her throat and they flew us to the children’s hospital that night for surgery. It never hurts to check if you have any doubt!
I think he would love the book called, Don't let the pigeon drive the bus, when I worked at a daycare I had that book in my class and all the kids loves it and they were his age.
My son had it as well! He grew out of it about 6 months and the dr said that most babies grow out of it about the age of 2. My son is now 5 and sounds perfectly normal.
My oldest daughter had that. The treatment/management back then (1980) was to thicken her formula and put her in her baby seat to sleep. She outgrew it by the time she was 8 - 8 1/2 months old.
My son had this and in simple terms was called floppy larnx he had this as a baby he's now 16 and absolutely fine, he had the really loud sleeping, funny breathing, couldn't keep his milk down properly, which end up with him having high calorie milk ect but he did grow out of it xx
I came here to say this - except it was my daughter who had it, but yes after she was around 1-2 years old, it started going away, and she’s completely grown out of it and never had issues with it again, also never had to get a procedure done for it either 🤷🏻♀️ scary to go through when I hadn’t with my son, but was glad she grew out of it sooner rather than later ☺️
Awww! Poor Iris she is the most beautiful precious baby I have ever seen I pray she will be ok 🙏 keep a close eye on her and Everything will be ok God Bless
Another Laryngomalacia mama here. Sending my love and understanding your way!! It’s so great that she is sounding on the mild side. I would def go with your gut on getting her in to an ENT soon. It will be good to have the diagnosis and prognosis verified. ❤
@CCLifeVlogs ❤🙏🤗❤ Sending my Love, my Intercessory Prayer's are sent up, for God to heal Iris' larnxy in the Precious Name of Jesus Christ, my tons of Air Hugs, to you All & more Love & Blessing's from God, to you ALL guys💌
My 2nd son had laryngomalcia! Basically a floppy larynx ❤ It presented for him at around 2months with a persistent cough and noisy breathing. He saw a ENT and had a laryngoscopy, thankfully they wasn't concerned whatsoever so he got signed off! He grew out of it around 2 years old & he is now nearly 8! Parents always know their babies best x
Cassie!! I know exactly what your going through! I was a first time mom to my now 14 year old and he had this exact thing! Before you said it on camera I told my husband our son had Laringo Malaysia. Spellings off lol. My son at just a couple weeks old we thought we should bring him to the ER in the middle of the night because of how his breathing sounded so congested. There was a time he was a few months old and we were bopping around shopping and the cashier said wow! You have your own squeaker toy haha! I never knew there was different or severe cases. Or the camera option etc. I was 21 and no one told me what to do after the diagnoses, not even our pediatrician. When she starts to laugh, her squeak will come out lol. I love watching my son’s first laugh video. The squeaks But rest assured he is 14 now, and no. He doesn’t squeak anymore haha. What’s so sad is I don’t remember the last time he squeaked was. Enjoy it while it lasts. You’ll miss those little noises and not realize when they are gone. ❤
Hi from Carrie in traverse City Michigan ❤️ Iris is getting so big and so beautiful ❤️ Carlos is such a good father and husband ❤you are great parents in taking the initiative in talking to Iris's doctor about her breathing issues ❤❤ Iris looks so tiny when Carlos is holding her ❤❤ Jaxton, you are one handsome brother and getting so big and talking so well ❤❤❤ love you all so much 💋!!!
I can't believe how much iris is like Carlos, she's looking more an more like him as the weeks go on,,beautiful babies, jaxton is so funny, love you guys, hope baby iris will be better soon...🏴🏴🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🏴🏴
my son had a heart roamer and lung and heart hole from birth-7 months old and doctors fixes both heart and a yearly check and he is a normal 16 years old teenager and he runs around and plays in sports and others
Casey I'm a retired nurse specialist always are full of appointment but they always have an opening for emergency type things I know April is not too far away but when you're a doctor said you take Iris to an ENT she's an infant and they should take her in on an emergency sending huge amount of love hugs and prayers always♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
My daughter and niece both had it. But I’m not far from you and most of all the ones in our area don’t offer waitlist. My daughters was severe a she had the surgery my niece out grew it.
My son was born with same thing dr siad fluids in his lungs from C-section but now he almost 3 years old he still has same breathing problems he now has asthma and on puffers
My son woke up 4 weeks old gasping for breath. Long story short he had tracheamalacia which they called “floppy trachea”. He was on steroids for his first year of his life and thankfully he did outgrow it by 1.5. He’s 3 now and doing amazing. He always sounded weird and congested and people always noticed it. It’s definitely something they usually outgrow!
There’s 4 different malacias is how the pulmonologist explained it. They’re all very similar. The pulmonologist didn’t do the actual test for it because he said it’s hard for the baby and it’s not necessary unless it’s extremely bad.
My son at newborn had that but he had to have surgery he wasn’t sleeping well are eating his food was going to lungs because the soft tissue. At one years old he was 11 pounds . Put him in car seat he true blue the doctor won’t listen to me something was wrong. After he had the surgery he gain weight and sleep well now he 5 years old he talking and playing
Great Job Momma & Daddy ❤ For Knowing Your Sweet Baby & Being Persistent!! May GOD 🙌 & JESUS CHRIST Bless Y'all In Everything You Do!! I'll Be Praying 🛐 For Little Iris 💖!! I'm Praying 🙏🏼 For All These Things In JESUS CHRIST 🙌 Mighty Name Amen ✝️!!

I agree… Reading every night to my son when he was a baby/toddler gave my now teenage son a love of reading.
Loved reading this. I am homeschooling my autistic son and trying to develop his reading, this was so motivating for me ❤️
I read to my daughters from the time they were newborns but none of them are readers. I’m think my ex had to do with that.
My 6 yr old had it to and would pass out it was terrifying right before first birthday was the last episode of fainting my little guy also had reflux. My son stopped breathing an hr after birth and was in the nicu. The weezing was scary too.
Jaxton watching you read that last book was so sweet! He was just beaming looking at mom 🥰 quiet watcher, love your videos! 💛

My son has it super mildly. Worst when he's excited or upset, he has already mostly outgrown it at 8 months old. 😊
I think he would love the book called, Don't let the pigeon drive the bus, when I worked at a daycare I had that book in my class and all the kids loves it and they were his age.

Your children are gorgeous Cassie after seeing yo for years with Ollie and Finn, it’s lovely to se you being a mum.

I'm so glad to hear, that Iris will be okay and not need surgery for her condition.. Sending prayers

I’m so sorry! I’m thinking maybe she’s allergic to your dogs 🤷🏻♀️
You’re not her pediatrician.

Your comment is not okay. People get words mixed up all the time. Doesn’t mean they’re not educated, Karen.
