Beautiful shots ! , I'm getting a zv-e1 mostly for video and I have a zv e 10 for photos but its nice to know you can use the ZV E 1 for astrophotography!

Hi, thanks for the great video, what do you think about using the ZV E1 for filming and photographing polar light? Best regards Stefan

I think it would be great. If you’re more focused on photography you may want more megapixels. Honestly the low light for photography isn’t much better than the a7-c or a7iii. For video it would be great.

If you were to purchase a camera today for doc/vlog content, I also like to take pictures on occasion. Would you recommend the R6 Mark2, Zv-e1, Canon R5, or Sony Fx3? Great content

ZV-E1, but if 12 megapixels isn't enough I'd go with the Canon R6.

I'm a beginner and I'll casually use a camera to take photos of the moon and night sky but will be going to Alaska to see the northern lights and wanted to get a camera that'll be good for all of that. Would you recommend the ZV-E1?

It’s not my favorite camera for astrophotography but if you’re happy with 12 megapixels it’s fine. I prefer the Sony a7c or a7iii

Were those dead trees in the video? Also, I see what you mean about mosquitoes. That poor guy with them on his back probably had a miserable time with the itches.
In good light, it seems you got some good images. It's mostly an issue if you want to make poster size images using a 12mp image file.
Another camera that is great is the small brother, the ZV-E10. It has a mechanical shutter. Seems to be a Sony a6400 made into a vlogging camera.

Yeah I was hiking through a lot of dead trees. The super resolution mode in photoshop can actually make for larger image sizes. Someday I should print them and do a video. Thanks for the comment. The ZVE10 is probably a better landscape camera. It’s also smaller!

Any chance you could share a RAW astro shoot or two, I have a74 and just wanna pixel peep and see how 12 MP shoots come out. Thanks
