on both M1/M2 Pro i upgraded the memory to 16GB...otherwise there is just too much SSD swapping which degrades the internal storage over time. I upgraded that to 512GB both times as well but yes...an external SSD is a more cost effective route

You always could buy a model with more RAM. Apple sold the M1 MBA with 16GB too.

What software you use for video editing? If da vince resolve does it run well?

Your comment about monitors and Macs is just recycling internet claims that are silly. Of course a 4k monitor will work with Macs. The scaling issues are usually overblown and BetterDisplay works well for those who want to try it.

Does it overheat when shooting timelapse?

i just bought a 2020 MY from Tesla site with 86k miles on it for $26600+$1k shipping. It does come with FSD, which is the main reason i jumped ship. Also 20 inch wheel and red exterior. performance upgraded too. Not sure it's a good deal or not but will see the condition of the car in coming days before I will accept the delivery. If it's terrible, i will just pay 500 delivery + shipping and refuse delivery. What you think?

I have been going back and forth on this for quite some time. I think I found the best solution. My shutter button is set up for eye tracking AF. My AF-on button is set for One Shot & Spot AF. This way I have the benefit of just shooting with the shutter button or pre-focusing with the AF-on button when eye-detect is having trouble. So far this has worked well for wildlife.

So video editing on a MacBook Air, why not… but what kind of project were you working on? Super light editing I imagine? The mini M4 (even the base model) must feel like a huge upgrade for editing, I’m sure eh?

For your FSD driving overspeed. Try this. Autopilot Settings Before you use Autopilot features, customize how they work by touching Controls > Autopilot. Set Speed: Choose whether Autopilot engages at the currently detected speed limit or your current driving speed. Touch Controls > Autopilot > Set Speed and choose either Speed Limit or Current Speed. Offset: If you choose Speed Limit, you can specify an offset by touching Set Speed Offset. You can choose Fixed (the cruising speed adjusts by a specific amount on all roads) or Percentage (the cruising speed is adjusted as a percentage of the road's detected speed limit).

Is a 4K monitor good for the 2020 M1 mini?

I'm have a some regrets with this camera, even that I switched to this from Panasonic G9 for having a great autofocus and it's great on Sony, but everything else is not that great: overheating, bad battery life, mini HDMI, one card slot - and now A6700 is feeling like a downgrade for me even from old Panasonic G9 Mainly I shooting videos

The 6700 is awesome camera. Pretty expensive for an aps-c camera, but pretty damn good. Generally, real photography is not cheap...I think everyone who consider himself a hobbiest or enthusiast photographer must have some money in the pocket

I totally agree with you. I have been using the ZV-E1 for a little over a year and I still use it with great pleasure because it makes things easier when working alone without an assistant. In addition, it is small and discreet with the 16-35 PZ zoom or the 20mm F1.8 :)👍

For future purposes, there is a difference between gb and GB as well as mb and MB. They are not thesame which makes your table confusing as we dont know it you are talking of Gigabit or Gigabyte and Megabit or Megabyte

You have to turn the zoom ring too much?! It’s 50-100!!! Of course you have to turn the ring a bit more than usual!
