Seriously? 74? Super amazing that you’re willing to try new things. It’s not easy at any age! Please let me know if I can help or answer any questions. After Christmas is over I’m planning to start a pivot towards more Procreate and Cricut projects. It’s what I love.
Thank you for this real time version. I need the slow lane too because most of these tutorials are so fast I can’t catch what tools or layers they are on. Great video.
Thank you so much for this video. I've had my ipad and procreate for a few months now, and could not find a tutorial that I could understand. All of the others are too fast paced. I love your teaching style of slow and steady. Now I think I have the confidence to actually make a sticker.
Oh this makes me happy to hear. I really love Procreate- it’s such a great tool. But it can be hard to figure out. It took me a while. You really will love it though!
Ok, I have watched this several times, thank you been having a lot of trouble with sizing the pictures been putting it in another program to do that now I don’t have to thank you thank you. Keep showing us how to on procreate/Cricut thank you!!!
Oh I’m so glad!!! And as I’m still completely obsessed with all things Procreate and Cricut I can promise I have a LOT more planned for the next few months!
I’ve been looking for a video to help make stickers for weeks and this is the only video that actually makes sense. Thank you so much for the great information. You’ve helped me so much so thank you x
Hi! Thanks for your comment! I actually haven’t tried that because I do use my Cricut, but I did see there are a few videos here on TH-cam on that subject. I also found a post by Printify that had some really good tips for designing stickers to Print On Demand. printify.com/guide/stickers-guide/how-to-create-easy-print-on-demand-kiss-cut-stickers/ Hope this helps!
Thank you for your clear instructions; I’ve found it hard to find tutorials with simple and easy explanations. I managed to follow on and use procreate to make my own stickers of a little felt coconut I had made and photographed. The only thing I found a little difficult was copying and pasting but finally got the hang of it. I think your drawings are great! Thanks again for sharing your knowledge ☺️
I LOVE this!!! Thank you for telling me I helped! And I have to say the three finger swipe to get the copy and paste completely eluded me for the longest time. I just couldn't get it to work consistently. 🙁
I found your teaching style very easy to follow (I did get lost however a few times, the beauty of video I could rewatch and it worked out). Thank you.
Just a quick tip! instead of having to circle everything to select it, you can select it by pressing the arrow right beside the place where you lasso! its just a bit faster. :)
Thank you- that’s a great tip. I wish I knew it back when I did the video. Sigh. I know so much more now it’s kind of cringey to see some of those things. 😳
Thank you so much for doing this real-time. Every video I've watched is sped up so much that I couldn't really tell what they were doing. This made it so clear and I think I can actually do it! Thanks again!
The magic of Christmas. Just kidding! 😂 I actually have a MacBook with Screenflow installed. Then chose desktop to record. You can record your voice through the computer’s audio or you can hook up an external audio. Lots of my friends use their Apple AirPods to record their audio.
I love your videos! I am wondering, how do you get your stickers to be waterproof? I buy the waterproof sticker paper, but then when I print the ink on them the ink is not waterproof?
That’s a great question! You have to seal the stickers either with an aerosol acrylic sealer or by using a self-adhesive laminating sheet. I go into a little in a recent blog post. wellcraftedstudio.com/diy-laptop-skin-with-a-cricut/
Hi Jeannine, those are the lines from the drawing guide. Go to the wrench in the upper left corner of your screen. Then tap canvas. In the menu you should see “drawing guide” and “edit drawing guide.” Select edit and then you can switch on any of the drawing guide options. I love the symmetry options. That’s probably what I used in the video. ❤️ Once you set up the drawing guide you can switch it on and off for each layer by touching the layer name and then selecting “drawing assist.”
Chto Zaviduyesh I think I’m using the 6B and the watercolor brush that comes standard with Procreate. I might use colored pencil too but I’m not sure where I picked that up. Sometimes I use the gouache brush that was free as well. Thanks so much for saying you liked the tutorial! I’m kind of in love with Procreate and plan to do more. ❤️
Thank you! I needed the clear-cut instructions for learning my way through Pro-Create! I hope to see more tutorials just like this walking us through from start to finished printed sticker page!
Hi there thanks for all the info💞 When I circle my drawing with the ribbon tool it doesn't allow me to make it small .do I have to set up something so it can appear🤔sorry I'm a beginner🤷♀️
Hi! After you lasso it then you need to touch the arrow at the top to move or change it. The lasso just selects your object. I'm so glad you asked. Sorry I didn't see this question until now. Is there anything else I can help you with?
Lots of people use their fingers on their iPads. It totally does work. But even a cheap stylus really helps me transition from a regular paper sketchbook to digital.
Yeah, sorry about the audio- we’ve worked on our sound quality. But yes, I wanted the color outside the lines- I like the loose painterly look of that. If you prefer a more tight illustrative style you can totally use the erase tool!
just a fyi if you didn't know you don't need to use the select tool to make something smaller because you only had the tracing of the leaf on that layer so all you needed to do was select the arrow to change the size and move it, not the select tool to also around then make smaller..
Desiree thanks!!! There was a bug in Procreate that left a shadow image if you selected the whole layer to move it. So I got used to using the lasso select. I definitely agree that using the arrow is a better way of doing it. ❤️ I totally appreciate the comment. Hopefully people will see it- and I didn’t think of it til now but I can go back and change my blog post and suggest they do it the way you recommend.
Yes like the way you teach not in a BIG hurry, I’m 74 so need things slowed down so I can see and understand, your doing great!!

Thanks Pamela!!! This totally made my day!
hiii I absolutely love the way you teach!! can you please tell me how to minimize my images? Please.
Oh my gosh I totally started to reply to this and got distracted. When you say minimize what do you mean?

I agree with others here. Refreshing to find a clear step by step that is not rushed through and leaving us confused.

Love your instructions, I’ve been struggling with learning....
Oh I’m so glad! I also have other procreate tutorials you might like too! The snowflake symmetry video is a great intro to drawing assist.❤️❤️❤️

Love this tutorial how did you voice record and screen record all at the same time please help
The magic of Christmas. Just kidding! 😂 I actually have a MacBook with Screenflow installed. Then chose desktop to record. You can record your voice through the computer’s audio or you can hook up an external audio. Lots of my friends use their Apple AirPods to record their audio.
Although I have an external boom microphone with a pop filter and a Scarlet audio box. That’s how I get the rich voice. I’ll see if I can post a pic.
How do we get the sketching pencils?
The Sketching brushset comes with the app. So everyone who downloads it should have them. It’s next to Inking I think. I hope that helps.
So so helpful

@@WellCraftedStudio Thanks a lot for reply!
Do you lose image quality if you resize from large to small and then resize back up to large again?
Yes! It creates extra pixels and so it kind of stretches the image out to fill those new pixels. That causes it to lose quality.
Thanks so much for this! It was not hard to follow your tutorial. ❤️
Geraldine Chloe and Casey Yay! I’m so glad. I’d love to see pics of anything you make!

How do I keep the line one width? I’m having trouble with some lines being bold and some being thin :( I want a even line
So I’m so in to making my own stickers, but how would I use procreate without a pen?? Great video btw!!!!

What pen or brush for you use when u trace ?
I like to use a 6B for sketching and maybe a monoline pen if I want it nice and smooth.
Thank you ❤️✨
You’re welcome!!! Thanks for the comment!
I had a hard time hearing you a lot of the time. Also, is the color meant to be outside the lines? Can just a simple erase tool get rid of that?

How do you know what size they will print out?
