Wow, I just tried the latest edge of pmOS on the Pinephone Pro and it is much improved! Congratulations and thanks to Martijn and the entire pmOS team.
Most PinePhone Pros seem to have SPI, the og PinePhone doesn't. There seems to be a neat workaround for that though by utilizing eMMC hardware partitions to have basically the same thing.
I'm using Mobian/Tow-Boot. My CPU gets awfully hot when pushed a little bit. We're talking watching a video or listening to a livestream, not crunching primes. 57°C + before I caught it. Are you experiencing this kind of heat on yours?

where can i find the image for Tow-Boot? I have been all over github and i cant find it
How much customisation does postmarketOS allow as of right now? Can I customise it just like I can the normal Plasma desktop?
Can't wait for PMOS on my PPP. Keep up the good work.
Very nice! I often wonder what Android does differently, that it runs smoothly on very low-end hardware, apps launch quickly etc.
PP Pro has SPI Flash?
Nice, I hope the specs improve over time for the Pinephone.
Specs don't improve over time :P code quality does
@@MartijnBraam I mean cpu, memory, camera, etc
Getting my PinePhone Pro and Keyboard case tomorrow yay!!!
Do you know if the PinePhone Pro (or the og PinePhone for that matter) includes SPI flash in which the Tow-Boot could be stored?

Yeah that's pretty normal since it's using software decoding for all media. So it's not crunching primes but not that far off :P
Can we build a complete experience for this on flutter 🤔
I hope not
thank you :-)
They ask for 400 bucks for it, but even the LED could not be properly placed and isolated. Good luck with your sales.
It was properly placed and isolated but I forgot to put it back in after opening the phone a few times. Most of my pinephones are like that now :P
@@MartijnBraam I thought about that too, but it's still expensive. Their laptop, with similar hardware, is half the price.
@@_den_ smaller profile is more expensive... 400 is a steal for this kind of hard work and dedication instead of selling their souls to Google
